Söner Nostalgia: It has potential. Much better sizing than the Momentum, but at a cost
Overall, I prefer the mk.2 as the mk.1 just had too much empty real estate for my taste. However, that white rehaut on the mk.2 just doesn't work for me, especially with the brown dial. Shame, as it's lovely otherwise.
Oh, and as Darren said, the date application on the mk.2 is a little odd. Wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, but I could do without the date altogether.
The MK1 definitely does have more presence and dial breathing room. I think that's a more traditional field watch thing, though they're not generally my favorite style of watch. I expect the contrasting rehaut will be one of the biggest decision-makers for people. I find it to be the most bold on the copper too, even though the contrast is greater on the other variations. Cheers
Great review and comparison. I much prefer the original Sattelberg, which imo is a fantastic watch. Although there seems to be a lot of individual element upgrades, to me they don't come together well enough for my taste The date implementation is something I don't like as I think it looks awkward, which is strange because I didn't mind it on the original when it was in a rectangular window.
Thanks buddy! Yeah, I'm similarly conflicted. This is a more refined watch and IMO a quality improvement. However, there's just something about the original dial layout that feels more suited to the design/style. Taken in isolation, this MK2 is one heck of a nice watch for the money though! Cheers

Does it keep time???
Yep, that's included as a standard feature 😜
Asian brands cannot brand ! Wise ? 😂
Their brand name doesn't bother me, but the Hitman model name (particularly being on the dial), is less than ideal. Amazing quality watches though. Now, some other brand names are a different story... looking at you Lucky Harvey.
hi, I came across your video. I bought a Citizen watch with the screw in pins, the problem seems to be that all the screw heads are easy to turn (counter clockwise and clockwise). In the tutorial that Citizen offered it seems that the screw comes out easily when turning it a few times; however, my bracelet just seems to continue to turn without popping out. I've tried applying firm and consistent pressure but the screws only turn without resistance but it doesn't push out. Do you have any suggestions or know what I'm doing incorrectly? Thanks!
Are you sure they're screws and not pins? What you're describing sounds like it could be split pins. The opposite side of the pin is also likely rounded instead of flat. They often look like screws on the split side. They spin freely because there are no threads. If that is the case, there are usually arrows on the inside of the links closest to the clasp. This indicates the direction they should be pushed to remove. It's been a while, but I believe the Citizen bracelet in the video uses split pins as well, not screws. I believe it was a different bracelet with screws. Cheers
@@JonathanTReviews hey Jonathan, yeah they’re screws because both sides has the flat screw faces and there are no pins or arrows. When I turn one side of the screw it also spins the other side. Maybe I’m just not giving it enough push pressure.
@Paul-i2m6p That helps to clarify. From what you're describing, it sounds like one of the Citizen bracelets that requires a screwdriver on each side of the link. You'll likely need to firmly push both inward, while holding one stationary and turning the other. I hope this helps.
395 now
Still very competitive/affordable for a regulator IMO. Cheers
So how do you remove a stubborn bezel? This video shows one that was just too easy. Many are not.
The same technique works for most bezels, but you're right that some are stiffer than others. Many are comparable tension to the one in the video. The wedge of the tool gains a lot of mechanical efficiency. The biggest factor is the case/bezel integration and if it allows good access.
Where can we but the black one?
I just checked their site to confirm stock, as they did a preorder for the V2 earlier in the year. Unfortunately, as you likely saw, the black dial versions are both sold out. I'm not sure if they'll be doing another batch. I'd send them an email to ask. Cheers
I reached out to them. Are you looking for a date or no-date version? They may have one available at the showroom. Also, depending on where you're located and the preceding answer, I may be willing to sell my V1 to swap to a V2. Both are great but the V2 addresses the minor critiques I mention in the video.
I find the hands too short. They should at least reach the beginning of the indices.
If I recall correctly, the hour touches the larger indexes (12/3/6/9), but you're right it's short of the ones in between. If you haven't already, you may want to check out the Vesterhav. The pointed tips of those hands give a greater sense of length. Cheers
I bought this popular video watch from AMZWATCH , which was originally priced at a few thousand dollars, but now it's only $180! It's really suitable to pick up feces
I love them! The green will be the one I pull the trigger on. The purple is tempting though. I do think they're priced a bit high for a new microbrand so hopefully they don't let us down.
The green is very cool, especially with the date window framing pop. Yeah, unfortunately the intricate dial composition and material mix (along with the 9133 and other elements) drove up their cost. I'm optimistic they'll deliver a solid watch though, based on the prototype pair. Cheers
$700 for that ? Gotta be kidding me !! 😂 just selling stuff.
They're quite reasonable for the quality, design, and specs IMO.
Subbed! We at Harris watches (Germany) have just started. We are different though, one needs a special sense of humor to come up with a theme like we just did. 🙂Regards.
Thanks for the support and best of luck with your new endeavor! I'll give it a look. Cheers
Thank you for the feature!
My pleasure! It's a great design and concept 🥂
This is a really fun one-hander and not something i necessarily expected to see on the channel. Well done!
Gotta mix it up 😁 This is the first one-hander that's really caught my eye. Vario consistently puts out really original pieces that seem to always work (I wasn't even a big Popeye fan and still like that version. LOL). Thanks so much!
Fun and cool design. Thanks for featuring this piece. Glad i subscribed a while back

I like it very much❤ the purple one I think or the silver/grey?
Great to read! Those are my favorites as well, along with the brown that will likely be less popular. The silver really came to life on a blue strap. Cheers
Absolutely stunning watch! Im Irish so im definitely gonna buy one and support the brand ☘️
Very cool! Always great to have a connection with them. Cheers
btw I'm also considering getting the mun orion which is even more expensive😭
Those are sharp. I recently received my pair of Loresum LS04's, which scratch that 12 o'clock style moon phase itch for me (albeit pretty different designs).
@@JonathanTReviews review for at coming soon?
@SwipeSide19 Are you meaning the Loresum LS04? If so, I have a review of the prototype available here: th-cam.com/video/fFGTjgJXmio/w-d-xo.htmlsi=DGzywkQ0P1-F2uNO I'll also have a follow-up video with a production pair and a special version in a week or so.
These watches look gorgeous, I'm having a hard time not hitting buy. Only thing is price is kinda high. Great review btw
Thanks so much! They did an awesome job with this concept and execution. The only downside, like you said, it isn't inexpensive to manufacture. Still a great looking piece with nothing else like it out there. Cheers
@@JonathanTReviews I wish these micros would go with Japanese movement to bring price down
@@SwipeSide19 Many do, including this one. It's using a Miyota (Citizen) 9 series movement.
Jon! Would you be able to do me a huge favor? I’m considering an Eclipse very strongly and just trying to compare the proportions to a similar watch in my collection (Tudor BB58) what does the mid-case thickness measure at, excluding the caseback, crystal, and bezel? I’m sorry if you mentioned it in the video. If you did, I missed it.
Greetings! I don't have ready access at the moment but will try to remember to get a ballpark. It's unfortunately very hard to get accurate measurements of the mid-case once it's assembled. The case back, bezel, crystal, etc. almost always get in the way. I give the total thickness in the video but you're correct I don't have this one. I will say, I seriously doubt you'd be disappointed. Beyond the overall excellence of the watch, it nests very nicely on the wrist and has a thin presence for a diver. Cheers
@@JonathanTReviews Thanks Jon. I know it’s difficult to get an exact measurement there but I would definitely appreciate a ballpark estimate if you are able! I’m sure I would not be disappointed. Sergio doesn’t know how to disappoint lol.
@@JonathanTReviews got the measurement! Thank you!
@thecoldnovrain89 Awesome! Thanks for circling back. Cheers
@@JonathanTReviews absolutely!
For me it’s the price. If it’s around $600 good price.
Understandable. The dial cost was a big driver of the price on this one (materials, machining, assembly, etc.). I expect that will be the biggest deterrent for many though. Cheers
Another fantastic review! I love what these guys are doing with colors and textures. Such a cool piece!
They really pulled together a unique and daring design without IMO making it over the top, as I worried might be the case from the renders. I'm so torn on three colors as my favorite (these two and the coffee and cream). Cheers
I'm absolutely obsessed with these watches, the idea of combining Meteorite & mother of pearl is great & the colours really makes the dial the centerpiece. Can't wait.
They really are stellar dials! The layout works great and I agree about the color combos complementing each other nicely. Cheers
Oh man you’re really good at explaining things. I really enjoyed the clear explanation on where to apply the locktite based on the different types of thread. And more importantly, why. Thanks so much. This was so informative and extremely clear. I feel great after watching it Have a fantastic day
Thank you very much, that's wonderful to read 🥂 Happy I could help!
If they made it in 38mm with a 46mm lug to lug… man that would’ve been sweet.
That would be a nice packaging if they ever do a V2. Cheers
the Boss!
LOL. I hope it helped. Cheers
Amazing dial
It is a striking combo and excellent integration! Cheers
Great review. I wasn't sure about this one, but after your review and seeing them on your wrist I think they look great.
Thanks buddy! I was unsure if it would work from the early renders and expected it to be too much going on. Once I saw the pics in the metal, I was starting to warm, but was really surprised how much I love them in usage. The precision of the cuts, without being hard angles, makes it feel more organic than I expected. Despite my obsessive tendencies towards uniformity, and love of symmetry, this one won me over.
I lkie the dials (green one especially). Case tough... Not so much. Very good review as usual 👌 edit: that purple Direnzo is class
Thanks so much! The dials are really striking. I'd love to see this be successful and carry over to future offerings. Isn't it?! Direnzo is one of my favorite brands, by far.
I really like the pace you have when explaining the watches. I would have liked more close-ups to the dials from different angles, as it is their best feature of the watch but keep it up! Seeing different microbrands is amazing for me. One more thing, I didn't catch the price, what was it?
Thanks so much! I tried to get a wide variety of close-ups and different lighting (I think starting around 3 minutes) but am always trying to find ways to improve 🥂 No worries, it's towards the end. I don't have my notes in front of me (recorded previously), but I want to say it's around $850.
Ive been waiting for this since you posted the pictures. It really is very pretty. My only issue is that for my 6 to 6.25 inch wrist, i feel like it would be a tad too bulky and thick for me 💔
Thanks for your support 🥂 That's understandable. This one walks an interesting line. The lug to lug and case presence easily support smaller wrists. However, by design, it does have a fair amount of overall presence (most notably some sporty thickness). While I think it wears well, and found myself more accepting of the thickness than I expected (particularly with the visual cues I mention), I too would enjoy some slimming. Cheers

I purchased the Teal Nova 2. I have worn it for about 2 weeks now. I absolutely love it.
I'm glad to read it! I have the prior teal and they are beauties. Enjoy!
I’ve taken it off but the bezel seats in place but it falls off when I flip it upside down? Helps please The bezel clicks and rotates as it should but it doesn’t seat in place and it’s flush to the watch.
Is the retention spring missing or damaged? There is commonly a leaf style spring (that's what makes the clicks), but also a wire spring that secures the bezel to the case (usually mounted in a channel in the bezel). This has to snap into place on the case to secure the bezel. I hope this helps.
I have one arriving tomorrow, and will be uploading my own video. Thanks for your excellent video
I hope you enjoy it and the video does well 🥂 It's a great design and gives a lot to explore.
Great review! Debating on getting this, but I have 6.25 inch wrists. I have butterfly clasp bracelets so no ability for adjustment. Do you think the pillows are too big for that?
Thanks so much! Unfortunately, unless they've adjusted the pillows or added a smaller option, it may be a bit tight. I think it would likely work and compress some with time, but it may be a fight initially.
And.. I meant to add.. I enjoy your reviews Jonathan.. excellent camera work and narrative content.. well done! Frank
Thanks so much! Cheers
I have the dark blue.. love it.. except for that bezel. Henrik offered to have it adjusted.. I opted to keep it as it was.. in truth.. without numerals on the bezel makes it less useful. Still, I really do love the watch. A very nice piece.. Frank in Colorado
Thanks for sharing your experience too, Frank. That's my sentiment as well. The total package is good enough that the bezel shortcomings are well outweighed. It's a really great watch and beautiful design (and I don't really do any diving, or even bezel based timing for that matter). Cheers
at least wear gloves with nails like that
Thanks for the manicure advice.
Too thick
I show it in much greater detail in the full review. It's fairly thin overall, IMO.
@@JonathanTReviews I got ls04. It is much more elegant in terms of case shape. This one looks very bulky. Reminds me aliexpress welly Merck
@fortisfortunaadiuvat1071 The Loresum definitely is and presents more thinly. That one is super thin.
@@JonathanTReviews loresum is 9mm wo crystal this one is 10.7. Huge difference
On the black one, is that dust on or under the glass ? The black looks amazing, but will show smears and prints like mad and if dust ever gets into it. Thanks.
It's on the crystal. Despite being a prototype, I didn't see any noticeable QC items. You can see a wide variety of footage in the full review that's now live too. You're right though, it's ridiculously hard not to have a speck or two of dust show. I wipe them down like crazy in all footage but the black shows everything.
Going to Thailand in a few weeks. Hoping to find one of these at their stores in Bangkok.
Awesome, have a great trip! I hope you score one!
@@JonathanTReviews Thanks bro! It's such a beautiful watch.
I am enjoying my supernatural. Had lots of compliments on the dial.
Awesome! It's definitely a good conversation starter with any dial, but especially the Triskel. Cheers
no AR coating ? too bad to have a full black dial that catches the light but a glass that reflects light 🤨
The crystal features inner AR coating and it does an effective job of controlling reflection in most conditions. While exterior AR could have further increased that performance, it would have come at the expense of diminished scratch resistance.
beautiful watch. But with no seconds hand, I want this thinner and with solar quartz.
Losing the second hand does give it a quartz feel, though I love the custom rotor on the back, when you do flip it over. The combo you mention could be a cool pairing at an even lower price point. Cheers
Nice review! Bought one too and love it -- real sleeper for the price point. (I bought this version too for the blued seconds hand).
Thanks so much! Great choice, it is a stellar watch, and a great deal too! Enjoy!
Literally seconds before you said “avoid oil”, I had sprayed 3 in 1 oil on mine, lol…dang
Haha! No worries, it happens. If fully disassembled, I'd clean it up with rubbing alcohol and then apply some graphite. Good luck. Cheers
@@JonathanTReviews I did just that, thanks for the information. It’s working better than it was so I greatly appreciate your video!
@TheRoadDawg Great to read! Happy to help!
