Best biblical based advice I've ever heard on parenting in my 12 years of being a parent. Going to watch this over and take notes. Thank you for sharing because I feel like our generation in the West is so lost when it comes to parenting because today's parenting is not even real parenting!

children need and love parents(especially father) to have authority.
    how to have authority?
5:35 A person who is most confident of their opinion is going to have authority.
Don't read parenting books if that lead your parenting uncertain, raise the way you are raising, and pass down your parents' mistake, just don't create your new mistake. (It seems implying that confidence is more important than doing right when it comes to parenting our own children)
*Commonly misunderstand: authority is not gained by punishment (abuser).

One of the most repetitive comlandments in Torah is to separate good from evil, followed by something like, "be holy because I am holy". Separation is a big part of holiness too. I liked most of this rabbi's speech except in the end when he said separation is unholy. it shows this rabbi did not know anyone like my parents. who can be proud of a dad who, among many daily stupidities, married a witch?

Authority is not oppressive, actually it is liberating. No authority, you are on a slip and slide through life. Authority gives the child a banister. This banister gives freedom to act. On slip and slide you are not really free. Just the randomness that comes with feelings, which change all the time
