in 1937 my father bought a one room school house (built in 1870's) 5 miles west of Oxford Ohio and 1 mile into Indiana. true brick building about 900sq ft. It is still a home for some family, as we sold it in 1950.
@@deanfirnatine7814it was more then a school though just saying. Not saying it’s haunted but they said it’s been apartments and home to farm animals as well as a school
They made their money in NYC! Probably never would have been able to afford this "home" if they had their careers in this small town. So much space for 2 adults and 2 toddlers....it still looks like a school or hospital.
Oh shut up. It was sitting there rotting. If it's a community building but the community is not willing to help fix it up then they get no say. No pay, no say.
I followed along on TH-cam, did it ever say how much was the purchase price? Renovations? I never saw them talk about it though. I knew it had to be a lot though!
U didn't mention she has a utube channel. So everyone can follow along with the process. Its very cool. TURNING AN OLD SCHOOL INTO OUR HOME
Yep, they just did a video of the last 3 years progress.
Can you comment with the TH-cam channel. I just watched it the other day and can’t remember the channel name. ❤
@@KJABurch schoolhouse homestead I believe it was something else bf but they changed it. I just watched their lastest video ✌️
@@kathyweber6844 thank you!
I it saw it on TH-cam it's coming along beautifully
Hi!!! We're doing the same thing in Central Iowa. 14,000 sq ft. Going to renovate and add units for victims of domestic abuse.
❤ thanks so sweet
I follow them on you tube and they are doing a fantastic job.
Do you know what it’s under I would love to see the old school turned into a house, please?
@@rob2132 it’s called Schoolhouse Homestead.
Good luck with your new house
I’ve been following this transformation, and the couples love for the place is evident.
❤this! Soooo cool. Hope you have a lot of pleasure living there!

It’s looking beautiful for them ❤
And that building is made to left! Smart investment and very cool 🧱🏫🏛️🆒
I have been following tgeir UTube channel. Amazing vision and hard work to complete what they have done. 💕💕💕
I saw them on Video, But I'm Wishing they put out more videos showing the House fully finished ❤
@@EstrellaHorton-i7j it’s not finished yet. They are hoping to be in by Christmas.
anybody know the total cost for the purchase and cost of complete renovation ?
Well they did not make the deadline, its a year later and they are nearing the end. My favorite is the cocktail bar in the basement, lol.
Willing to bet that place is haunted!
It looks it but who dies in a elementary school? odds are no one
@@deanfirnatine7814it was more then a school though just saying. Not saying it’s haunted but they said it’s been apartments and home to farm animals as well as a school
FYI that is not a home it’s converted into a mansion!

Aren’t you just a bundle of joy.
@@FirstHillSeattle They had a ton of support, money, friends, colleagues....not everyone can afford or want to do this.
@@susanbloom7551 I'm still not understanding what your issue is, but you do you I guess.
Ruined history for self pleasure, or make it a shelter to help others, it is a community building

Stop saying "like". UGH
I don't think its worth the 2.4 million to make into a home. Just my thought.
Might have been better if they just rebuild it and sold it as an orphanage or some other kind of school.
I followed along on TH-cam, did it ever say how much was the purchase price? Renovations? I never saw them talk about it though. I knew it had to be a lot though!
Wow, such a waste of money.
Was it your money? I didn't think so. Mind ya bidness.
Why? they got a a 9000 sq ft home on a few acres for peanuts and their You Tube income MORE than pays for the renovations.
