Lambspun is my LYS- I’m very lucky. Her shop is the opposite of Joann’s. Luxury fiber, friendly and a home like environment.Fort Collins is a great place to live
When I lived in Fort Collins I went to this shop often. I learned how to knit for real at the shop. I still have lots of yarn I bought at that shop. Shirley is the best
What an amazing place! It would be a dream to visit. You’d need several days to see everything! I would bring my crock-pot to the supper full of our family recipe creamed chicken. It’s a cross between a thick soup and a casserole and it would go well with the sour dough bread that the cafe makes. This episode was really special so thank you.
Wow. I thought I read all the knit themed book series and am so excited to have found a new one… and a long series too! Boy, I wish that was my LYS. You are sooo fortunate to be able to visit all these stores across the country. What a dream! PS I love the look you gave Kent when you picked up that pink sock yarn in the beginning 😂
I would sell my house and move to this community just for this shop, if I didn't have all these pesky dependents. My dog would love Colorado and I'd be at this shop every week!
I have read all the books. I have been wanting to get to Lambspun ever since. Thank you for this amazing video of this very special yarn shop. I would love to be there and I would bring a veggie platter with hummus. 💖
Oh my goodness! “Knit One, Kill Two” was possibly my introduction to cozy murder mysteries!! I had no idea there was a real-life inspiration - how fun!
I really want to see the store in person. It looks like the cozy yarn store where you can sit and chat while making progress on a WIP. I'd bring fresh baked bread with artisan spreads. Thanks for sharing the Lambspun tour!
What a cool spot, Shirley is living the dream as a yarn store/cafe owner, and she’s a character in a cozy mystery book?! Amazing! I would bring either my favourite Mexican inspired chocolate chip cookies or pizza dip and chips!
I’m pulling a buttermilk rhubarb cake out of the oven right now and I think that’s exactly what I’d bring! Or an heirloom tomato, grilled peach, spring pea and basil salad with buratta…
Very interesting yarn store tour. So different from the norm. I love your tours and interviews with LYS owners and employees. Kudos to you for participating in keeping all the USA LYS alive!!
What a wonderful yarn store! There are no LYS where I live, and the I two found when I visited relatives in Maryland were a bit unremarkable, imo. I could spend days in Lambspun. What a treasure! Thanks, Natalie, for introducing me to this store. If I ever get to Fort Collins, I will definitely visit! If I went to a Lambspun Friday potluck, I’d bring what I often make for potlucks: sweet potato and black bean chili - it’s always a hit 😁
In the winter I would probably bring an apple crumble, or roasted carrot soup. In the summer it would be a salad using local greens or an upside down cake using in season local fruit.
I would bring the dessert to a potluck. (I'm more of a baker than a cook. And who doesn't like dessert?) A tiramisu with raspberry and white chocolate in the summer. And my delicious chocolate chip cookies in winter. Oh and I like the vibe off this store. I completely understand why it was an inspiration for a book about knitting 😉
I have been to the potlucks at Lambspun and my favorite item to bring - it is actually always what I bring to any social gathering is cinnamon brownies. I have read most of the books in the series. Our libraries also carry them, which is a nice shoutout to Maggie.
I would bring homade chicken noodle soup. No bake chocolate oatmeal cookies. My intro into cozy mystery and yarn themed books was Maggie Sefton Knit One, Kill Two.
Such a fun and unique place. I'm late watching this but I'd bring a squash casserole. Our garden is overflowing with my favorite yellow summer squash right now.
my favourite thing to bring to a potluck is desserts - usually my "famous" brownies... lol. They aren't really famous but I honestly believe it's the BEST brownie ever and everyone who tries them agrees.
