HAHAHAHA. You know, the first Dorkly video i ever watched was the original Plants vs Zombies one. I was not even in this country and was studying then, now am watching this with my wife. And it is amazing to see how far the animation and everything else has come. "Till you are 90 Dorkly...."

That starplant was actually pretty well placed if you think about it
I just noticed how they're able to animate this. Every screen has tiny little pixels that make up the images, so they just edit those.
The sprites are alot bigger, but pixel art rules technically apply here. 🤔
They're a bit tricky to work with. I had some HUGE help from a fan who sent me a ton of the sprites/loops already built. Essentially made in Photoshop (or something similar) so whenever we have to adjust them, we need to take them into PS and paint new stuff, so it feels rasterized. The regular vector pixels on top of these sprites doesn't quite fit the same

Technically, Having two Torchwoods in front of a Snowpea is actually useful because after the pea gets thawed, it will burn again.
would be more cost and space effective to just use a regular pea shooter.

Next idea for your PVZ Video: Zomboss tells his zombies to a attack a highly defended lawn but the zombies suggest they enter another way (Pool/Roof) then Zomboss tries to convince his army that attacking the lawn in is a totally the way should attack. The zombies attack the lawn and get massacred.
IIRC, Zomboss went from just the lawn to attacking at night (no sun to help), to the pool (less lawnmowers), to adding fog, to the roof (angle blocks stuff), and then to following you through time.
Genius! Zombies left him alone a bit longer since he appeared to be devoid of intelligence.

But it won’t be able to see any zombies because it can only see forwards, unless zombies happened to invade **that** lawn as well, but then it’d probably get eaten (along with the other guy’s brains bc there’s nothing else on the other lawn)

It’s good that they’re doing more PVZ skits but I’m kind of surprised that they haven’t done a Metal Slug one.
The zombies being nice actually tracks with the game. I mean, they offered midnight snacks, they can’t be all too bad.

@ Yes, it technically was a sequel...doesn't change the fact that it was a mobile game and sucked. Two things they could have easily avoided if EA hadn't bought up PopCap...

The dude managed to get out a peashooter, a snow pea, a wall nut, a kernel pult, a coffee bean since he has a Puff-shroom during the day, and six torchwoods, with just one sunflower. That means he managed to acquire at least 1550 sun. Divide by 25, that's 62 pieces of sun he managed to obtain and waist.

You know stuff's gotten bad when the only new PvZ thing that's of actual quality is made by fans and Dorkly. These are dark times.
One of my favorite general strategies in PVZ1 is to make 2 rows of sunflowers (later upgraded to Double Sunflowers) on the left/back, two rows of Kernelpults (upgrade them to Cob Cannons) a row of Melonpults (upgraded to Winter Melons) and whatever else I need or can get (depending on the map/challenge).

Fun fact: according to pvz comics made by dark horse comics the zombies are actually misunderstood they attack humans but on Halloween they pretend to be zombies and actually socialize with the humans instead of eating there brains it's there favorite holiday not because it's scary but because it's the one time people think there in costumes and therefore can actually get along with them

That player is the smartest person to have ever lived. Their strategy was so awful that the Zombies literally didn’t want to go in for the attack. Also Basil is terrible and it needs a buff.
At least having Sunflower in front of the attackers is a valid strategy plenty of players do. Having your damage units in the far back lets them be active for as long as possible, and Sunflowers can soak up just a little extra damage while being easily replenishable, rather than Peashooters in front of Sunflowers and that gets eaten and you lose damage for that lane.
...Maybe not as far where the plants are getting eaten immediately though.

Puff shroom still needs a coffee bean which is 75 sun so technically sunflower is even more screwed and technically the snow pea’s pea will become a fire pea if it passes two torchwoods

At level 3, "Regular Basil" becomes a sun producer and has a recharge time of 0 seconds. It has 4000 health.
At level 5, "Regular Basil" can also be planted on water, scorched tiles, and gravestones.
At level 6, "Regular Basil" costs 0 sun and becomes cheaper every time it is planted.
At level 8, All plants will also get a mint boost every time "Regular Basil" is planted.
At level 10, "Regular Basil" is automatically planted at the start of every wave.
At level 13, "Regular Basil" gains the ability to spawn Doomshrooms and Jalepeños randomly.
At level 15, a Pepper-mint is spawned every time a zombie takes damage.
At level 17, every time "Regular Basil" takes damage, a random zombie takes 3,600 damage
At level 20, "Regular Basil" will respawn a lawnmower for every zombie on screen. Defeated zombies heal "Regular Basil" to full health.
"Regular Basil" is also immune to eating, gargantuars, being crushed, being transformed, Zomboss, and the shovel.
