    ...such a wonderful and deep interview...started with some clarifications around these terms:
    @16:55 spirit & soul
    @19:20 awakening & enlightenment
    @23:30 awareness & consciousness
    @34:15 What does Spiritual Awakening feel like?
    @35:50 Would you say that is synonymous with happiness or is it different from happiness?
    @41:45 a question re awakening as "goal-orientedness versus passive like Grace"
    @57:35 a deep exploration re Universal Self (Oneness, Unity) experience and No-Self experience
    @1:31:15 an exploration re "guru ego"
    @1:41:10 A lot of people think that awakening or enlightenment is only for very special people... Kevin asked Adya for his take on it...
    @1:59:25 If you're trying to help somebody awaken, do you start with meditation or do you say 'No, that's doing too much. Just drop everything and just be'?

    The interviewer is so humble yet so knowledgable. Clearly he has had some realizations. And it shows!

    Thank you so much for this interview, have been following Adya for over a year and this was the most deeply I felt him and his spiritual depth and his humanity simultaneously, at the same time it clarified many things for my own life and process. Your questions were also coming from a really soulful and true place and it was really nice, thank you

    Thank-you so much for this beautiful conversation. I will always be grateful for Adya's presence and teachings that met me at the beginning of my journey. This talk was like coming full circle. Blessings to you. Much love.

    Enlightenment is understanding what happens when you wake up.

    Loved the interview by the way. Lots of give and take. Listening. And I appreciate the acknowledgement that we don't have to stay with one process because we're invested. I have that problem sometimes. Also, handing my whole self over to someone; giving away responsibility. After that brief period of actually needing support (maybe a two week window) my lack of self knowledge and trust always blows up in my face, demanding I begin the real work that's calling and underpins every bit of personal suffering.
    This is the best work I'll ever do. Thank you for doing interviews like this.

    @46:15 reminds me of something Dada Gunamuktananda said: "A lightbulb is capable of shining light on the room around it, but not on the power that illuminates it. In the same way, we're capable of comprehending the world around us, but not the consciousness that animates us."

    We cannot treat individuals as one medically, nutritionally, psychologically, and we can't expect people to experience or ingest spirituality the same way. Showing a group a shade of red will not find them seeing the same shade. We can describe it enough to get along, even if one is colour blind, but it will never be the actual encounter and it can never be fully transmitted satisfactorily.
    Different categories of experience allow room for every one to sit at the table, and insisting on being in the middle always pushes others out.
    Feel the perfection of your seat no matter its position. :)

    Seriously? Advertisements all along including during the meditation? No respect. Money is not everything . Why would you invite him then? Holy holy holy

      Unfortunately TH-cam monetizes our videos… we don’t have control of the ads until we hit their predefined metrics

    This interview was disappointing. : ( great question, but adya sounds like he has no idea what the truth is. Maybe from an intellectual level, but not from the heart.

      Egos love to feast on disappointment.
      Maybe you're not ready for Adya's teachings.
      Try listening to him again in 5 years. Blessings to you.

      I personally feels like Adya knows EXACTLY what he is talking about. The difficulty comes because he is trying to put words to the ineffable.
