- People have been asking, so here's a more thorough walk through of my ECU delete and carb conversion on my D16A powered 1993 Del Sol. I haven't seen anyone else run a setup like this on one of these cars so if you know of one, let me know! I'd love to see it.

I can't wait to see more on this! Its awesome to see a build that challenges the normal "swap a bigger engine in it" like many people do. Keep up the great work and I'll be waiting to see where the build goes.
Gives me old muscle car vibes. Love the unique build
I’ve just picked up a RHD EF sedan with a carb motor. I came across DanST and their setups & am interested. It’s nice to see your set up as these are exactly what i was going to order. Great job at getting these to work on your car!!
i had to pause the video to comment the way you have this car setup key fuse box location etc is super cool
You got a sub from me. I love stuff like this. Although still EFI and not nearly as special and unique as yours, I’ve got a D series civic with a weird engine set up as well. Put her together with a service/spec manual, $100, hopes and a couple six packs. Y8 block/head, y8 dizzy with the OBD2 plug cut off and and OBD1 plug soldered on (hindsight I probably could have just moved the pins over. oops 😂) z6 intake and cam gear with a p28. Had to make a little custom O2 wiring as well because the car started life as a VX. All stock/stock modified parts. No AFR guage, so a little sketch. But the car runs nice, the plugs look good, and the exhaust doesnt smell rich. I’ve done pulls side by side with a z6 coupe, and it seems my car has a little more spunk. Maybe it’s a weight thing, regardless the car makes me happy. It might be a 💩 box, but it’s my box and I put it together so I’m proud of it 😂
So Rad! I've been wanting to see more info on this build for a while. Thank you for the upload. 🙌
This is a mind blowing build!
This has the old hot rodding vibes to it.
this thing is awesome! havent seen anything like this before, well done.
i would love to see this in person!! im a student learning about cars and how they function. and just to be able to witness ur concept would be awsome!!
I see it all carburated and stuff and I think okay that’s pretty cool. But that was a curveball when you said vtec is still functional. That’s fucking awesome
Wonder what a carburated ls vtec would look like
Liked and subbed! This is a pretty cool build bro
This is awesome, really well explained as well, sweet build!
Very interesting thanks for sharing it and very well informed on doing a swap like this. I’ve seen Suzuki samurai engines run off d series manifolds and injectors with a hondata
Excellent build very unique
Whaaaaaatt? Super interesting, and very cool...very cool great job, thanks for making this video bro
Man very interested and something new mad prods bro great explanatory great build
zcspeed in colorado ran a EF hatchback green with a ZC DOHC and converted to run carb with similar ignition set up on weber carbs i believe been doing it since 2002.
This is hot rodding. Love it.
I have the same motor-ish. A d16a non vtec. That is California barred in my car. They're so hard to find info on. I put a locked vtec d16y8 cam and assembly in the non vtec head. It pulls much better all the way to red line. Also have a 272-2 cam to throw in next when I can afford a dyno tune.
So what’s next? Custom I/M with a 4 barrel blow through carb and turbo?😁
Nice one bro mega like 👍
I have a JDM honda City with a 1.3 (d13a)carb engine. I would like to upgrade the carbs with something like that but I’m not crafty at all and this car has so many vacuum lines
Awesome build. I wonder if you could run that on propane?
cool stuff
This is the coolest fuckin thing I’ve ever seen.
Also would love to see a full pull video from 0-60
Coming soon!
What's the benefits?? Cool just not understanding what performance gains there are.
Go look at the motul ew hatch cuirct car 17:58
DO MORE CONTENT PLS
So my question is cam.a shift light be tied into the speedometer the GPS one won't read wheel spin
There is a shift light in the tach so that's not an issue
You think that rpm switch would work if I swapped my none vtec head with a vtec head?? Just so I domt have to buy a p28 ecu
It should. You just need to find somewhere to tap in to the factory loom to get a reference signal for RPM.
Where did yoi get the targa bar??
I got it from a place called Velocity Race Fab but I'm not sure if he's still making them
So timing is locked at 16°?
Mechanically yes, but the ignition module keeps the spark lit through 20° of engine rotation
Every D series owner ever claims they have a ZC.
