I think we need to differentiate a little between what it actually means to be a "Shifter Deck". You have decks that don't care about their own GY, like Floo and Exosister. They play Shifter because it doesn't hinder their own gameplan, so there's no reason not to in a GY centered format. There's not really a cost attached for them, so they are your typical Shifter Decks that kind of coined the term. Malice if anything is an Anti Shifter Deck. You still want to use the GY for generic Cyberse climbing, but you also don't mind being under Shifter. So while you're still on a mostly GY centered deck, Malice as an engine turns Shifter into a liability for your opponent. You'd rather not run Shifter yourself though probably, but as long as the rest of the format dies to it, it's a sacrifice you kind of have to make if your basic lines under Shifter are enough. It's the same with Ritual Beasts currently, Shifter means you sacrifice Nochi access, so you're more vulnerable to targeting and Nib, but on top of winning 90% of matchups it also protects from Veiler and Droll, so it's a necessary evil. There's a difference between playing Shifter because you can, playing Shifter because you have to, and just having the ability to play under Shifter. I like the way Malice is designed, if we have enough decks like this around, Shifter will finally end up in the Side Deck where it belongs.

Double Masquerade plays be good again in Branded
In the past we have seen what only 3 main deck monsters can do: adamancipators
Also Alice in wonderland is maybe my favorite franshise. So I'm in! No matter how good or bad they are. Playing only with friends anyway.
Just hope that they're not like 20€ percopy or something.
Soul Release becomes Soul Charge in this deck, but also i dunno how easy would be for your cards to reach the GY, so maybe the just never do and then Soul Release is a dead card, also how the deck is at this moment it seems interesting and cool but i don't know how powerful it would be, but i'm sure it will get support, bu it doesn't matter for me if the deck is Meta or only rogue, it has a cute anime bunny girl so i will play it.
i hope this can be combined with live/evil twin, sending cards to the grave or banishing or both and gaining LP through Sunny Snitch to even out the Malice costs :D and it could maybe even out EvilTwin's weakness if cards get banned instead of dug down into the grave.
also i'm a silver rank noob, dont listen to me :)
Am I the only math nerd who initially read the archetype’s name as M”for all”lice ?
I love how everyone is losing their shit over him saying "based on the movie" lmao
Waiting for a Bandersnatch and Jabberwocky card
yeah and the mad hatter XD
@@viktorholmgren3813 Mad Hacker is part of the archetype
Literally every arch type came from a movie tv history mythology or book thats something I been waiting for someone to connect all of them the one that blew my mind was Bastard of Albaz is Jesus lol but when you read in to it it's facts 😂
i read malice on saturday and ive already seen a 1 card combo( white rabbit) that ends in tempest, singularity, and the link 4 that bounces as a once while on the field. The deck itself looks actually really viable but i already know people are gonna spam links with these monsters😭
Pre release one card combos always seems busted but never see play once released cause they are suboptimal
@@shirinarai5489yea, thats why maiden of white or sea king horse neo end on a board with 3 omni negates and a card that can negate each card type once. Pre-release strats defo never stick
Bro remembers the retrains names but not the og firewall dragon
All these combos don’t work under shifter
Link to the combo?
This really reminds me of the first wave lab support. People knew welcome was by far the best one and the other 2 were either too situational or counter productive to the archetype.
Nah all these traps have really good utility. Even the time card reborn is necessary in some endboards to trigger Zeroboros. The other ones are really good combo pieces if you are okay with giving up the banish on the opponent's turn via mtp
@@theimpostorafungus1213 it's funny that you think you can link climb into zeroboros in a hand trap heavy format when the deck doesn't have that many pushes to make. Ash, Nib and other hand traps really hurt this deck. it's trying to be a combo deck but doesn't have a single way to play around Nibiru currently. it has all the flaws of a cyberse link climb strategy without fixing their issues while needed other Malice cards to do anything so it can't play too many generic cyberse monsters.
@@Gilgamesh-em6ru yeah I don't think the deck's very good but that's hardly the traps' fault
@@theimpostorafungus1213 it's not but also only 1 of the traps is a must play the other 2 aren't that good. I won't be surprised if their next wave of support gets them a better trap making no one play the current 2 bad ones in the main deck.
@@Gilgamesh-em6ru one of them summons from deck. Another one searches and then banishes a card. At least those two are incredible cards.
I just hope the TCG will allow us to get the upside down A in the name.
They won't, but man why can't we get the cool special characters from the OCG like, ever?
Aloof woof goes insane
This is technically the new d.d theme?
These look cool but I really don't understand why these are Cyberse over Spellcaster or Illusion or Fairy even :/
Time to discuss time ruling 😂
Aint no way they out out "Alice the Snow Bunny" with an alias 💀
Soul Absorption
