    DUDE. THANK YOU for actually telling me what I want to know. I’m a car guy, I buy things based on functionality and design. Sooo many videos just blabbing not telling me specifics or vs other choices. Fine job mate.

    Bought HD48 three weeks ago for my 1/2 acre lot. Love it so far. Fits nicely in my shed. Great cut because the blades spin faster vs. the HD52 with same engine. No scalping on my sloped yard. Went with the full suspension seat. Well worth the extra $ for that.

      Great to hear! That 48 inch machine definitely cuts nice.

    I picked up the 2023 42”. Wanted the Kawasaki engine but they were out so went with Kholer. So far so good and very happy with it. I only have 1.3 acres. Some of it like a wild meadow but time isnt my enemy since I also work from home so decided to not get the 48”. Great walk around on these. Thanks

    I have the exact 2022, and I'm incredibly pleased with the unit. Question: when it comes time what replacement battery would you buy for this machine?

    • @carlsmowerandsaw

      The OEM battery works great. Although you can fit in an interstate sp40

    I'm getting a little older. My daughter thinks I need a riding lawn mower instead of a walk-behind for my 1/3 acre yard. That seems a little overkill to me, but I guess I need to consider it. Does a zero turn function very well on a sloped hill? Would something smaller than a 48" be in order?

    • @carlsmowerandsaw
      @carlsmowerandsaw  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      How steep is the slope? They can handle sloped properties but there are limitations as there are with traditional steering wheel machines.

    You mentioned on another video that you use non ethanol gas. The manual says to use unleaded 87 or higher. Any problems with leaded gas?

    • @carlsmowerandsaw
      @carlsmowerandsaw  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for reaching out. Yes you can use regular gasoline, but your likelihood of having fuel related issues increases greatly as the shelf life of regular gasoline is very short.

    I was looking at the zt hd 60 but I think the 48 is gonna be the better option I have hilly areas and. Sharp ditches that I feel the smaller deck is gonna help me to cut them better and have a smoother cut and I also have tight areas with trees and obstacles

    • @carlsmowerandsaw

      60 is a lot of machine. Our minds think we need a wider cut but often times that is not the best move. 48 is an excellent choice

    Sorry but I CANNOT recommend the Gravely ZT HD. Bought a 48" ZT HD September/October of 2022, so end of season. I mowed once that year. Maryland had a pretty severe drought in the Summer of 2023, so I only mowed 2 or 3 times. The mower has 14.3 hours. This is as close to brand new as you can get. Mowed this morning for the first time this year. About 10 minutes into the job when the mower gave a loud clunk, traveled a few feet, and froze (engine running but mower will not move in any direction). The clunk was due to the fact that the PTO clutch literally fell off. The PTO clutch should be securely held in place by a pretty substantial bolt. This bolt should not be coming lose on a very lightly used mower. This is an obvious manufacturing defect and a quality control failure. At the present time my $7k mower is a BRICK. I cannot even move it manually (even with the bypass levers in the proper position). I have no idea how my dealer is going to get it on the trailer to take it in for repair. Maybe it's just going to become an expensive big red lawn decoration.

      I sorry you had this happen. We have had a few mowers with clutch bolt issues. The local dealer will take care of this for you and you will be good to go.

      @@carlsmowerandsawI bought my new 2023 Gravely ZT HD 60 on 03-22-2024 for $5,876 + tax here in Louisiana during Gravely’s “Mow the Distance” sales event. It’s my first Gravely purchase and I absolutely LOVE this machine 💯! Only thing I wish it had was 2 fuel tanks. With that said, I’m still able to cut all my grass on a full tank of gas. The main thing that sold me on the Gravely is that it has a 5.1 gallon fuel tank. The comparable Hustler model (Raptor XDX 60) only has a 3 gallon tank. The ZT HD has great reviews also. It is a well-built, quality made piece of equipment! I would have no problem buying another Gravely. They are awesome machines!! Thank You for all your videos!!!

    I just bought this mower and I must say as of now I'm disappointed. My 5 year old simplicity handles a lot better and is much more nimble. The arms on this are quite stiff making it difficult to maneuver. It also goes pretty slow in reverse, gas tank is small, and the deck pops back up into the transport position if you hit too many bumps while you are mowing. You will keep mowing until you realize it went back up into the high position. Not sure if this is the dealer not putting it together correctly or if its the mower. I want to like it, especially after paying 5k, but so far I'm not impressed.
