Why look forward? The future of life - Nobel Week Dialogue 2022

Frances Arnold, Nobel Prize laureate in chemistry 2018, Steven Chu, Nobel Prize laureate in physics 1997, and Anders Sandberg, Senior Research Fellow at the University of Oxford, explore the question of “Why Look Forward?”
At the 2022 Nobel Week Dialogue we looked towards our future in the hope of making life better, for everyone.
What do we hope for, what matters in life, what does a better future look like, and how far into that future should we be looking? By envisaging future scenarios, discussing how we want life to be in years to come and putting our imagination to work, we might influence the decisions we make now.
The Nobel Week Dialogue is an annual public conference bringing together a select group of the world's leading scientists, policy-makers and thinkers for a series of thought-provoking sessions on a topical science-related theme. With this event the Nobel Institutions aim to deepen the dialogue between the scientific community and the rest of society on issues connected with the Nobel Prize and of importance for the world.
Nobel Week Dialogue was produced by Nobel Prize Outreach in partnership with Carl Bennet AB, City of Gothenburg, Region Västra Götaland, Volvo.

"The only way to know the future is to make it yourself", because when you look at the circumstances of QM-TIME, the probabilistic correlations of the future are superimposed on the past, here-now. This is why Sciencing Re-search practices are not really the sole preserve of Scientists and a general education program for effective and efficient learning methodologies to complement nature-nurture learning by doing is an objective in common for all humanity.
