Dostal really deserved that win and it sucks that this young Ducks core just isn't quite there yet with the rebuild in order to stay competitive with teams like the Avs.
The players should be able to count on the refs doing their job. Missing a penalty on the ice is one thing, missing the puck hitting the nets is another entirely. The entire stadium saw that puck hit the net, and the DJ even started playing music initially as if it were about to go to a faceoff. I know because I was there.
Nah, that's opening a whole can of worms that nobody wants to touch. Then you'd have goals getting called back because someone went half an inch offside 5 minutes ago. Yeah it sucks when it's this obvious, but there 100% needs to be a reasonable cut off point for reviews and the puck leaving the zone fits that pretty well.
Ducks didn't get the goal because refs missed the call. They were scored on because they played zero iq hockey waiting for the call. It shouldn't be revievable. The puck going out didn't lead to a goal. It was already next possession by that time that wasn't caused by it.

@Mulukkis brilliant!! The team is missing some of their most important players so WHY are you blaming your goalie when the players you currently have are constantly hanging your goalie out to dry? This fan base is unbelievable and makes me embarrassed to be an avalanche fan sometimes.

I would encourage you to go back and listen to some of the Av's broadcast commentary for this night, because oh my god. I've heard biased announcers before, but this was just abject complaining and entitlement. Idk if that's how they are all the time, I'm not a fan of either team, and obviously I understand the Av's are the better team, but the way they were talking made them sound like they were entitled to this win simply because they were playing the ducks. Put it on cause my main team was blacked out, I was cheering for the ducks by the end of the night. It was really strange.
