If you are playing for the gold medal you must complete the five Arrowhead shots first before using your guns or rifles. Gold metal tip there are at least six patrolman on the way to the campsite you can get five of them if you use your dead eye. If not make sure you get the 5 Arrow Head Shots before you use your guns or rifles
everybody always talks about American Venom and Jim Milton rides again, which are both crucial to connecting the RDR2 John Marston to his 1911 counterpart. But to me, there's just something about this mission and how badass John is that think "this is John Marston". Maybe it was the way I played it, but when you go through the gulley and clear a path for Charles and Uncle, killing every skinner one by one with a variation of the American Venom guitar as the soundtrack, Idk just felt really satisfying to me. Like John was unstoppable. And of course, that feeling is further intensified in American Venom, but no one ever talks about this mission.
Ok I found out that it only counts at the end of the mission. I must've replayed the mission 20 times just because of the bow headshots. 7 different videos and no one thinks to mention that this objective doesn't get marked off until after completing the quest.
Bruh. I was trying to get gold on this mission and had the weirdest fail happening to me. I shot a Skinner Brother right next to the fire Uncle was hanging above. That guy fell into the campfire and started burning. While Charles cut Uncle loose, he presumably stood too close to the burning corpse and the mission failed because Charles died.
In RDR2 these missions remind me of Arthur and Charles saving Eagle Flies from the US Army in Fort Wallace and now John and Charles saving Uncle from the Skinner Brothers in the HQ forest.
Jesus Abigail and jack get an entire ranch built for them yet they act like they own they place and think John still owes them an apology. They left John to die and now that things are looking up they decide to come back. They weren’t there for the tough times.

Wow. 98% of these comments are useless. For those who are doing it on replay, I did it on my 2nd try. The secret is to kill all the patrols in the beginning with arrows and don't let them pass. After Charles helps you kill them, loot all their bodies and take the arrows Charles used for extra. While looting, you'll pick up a lot of tonics and tobacco that will help you with dead eye in the mission. Thank me later.
