That's just basically the 'surface' differences. Ang totoo, kahit ano pa I.T course na kinuha or natapos ng isang tao, it will all boil down to what 'value' he/she provide to his/her employer. Meaning, anong skills at knowledge na meron na makakatulong sa company. I took comsci and worked as an IT support. Then moved to call center as technical support then study and learn networking. I became CCNA and it opened a lot of opportunities for me. Years after, I became a network engr/admin in one of the largest bpo operating in the Philippines. I have worked with diff people who tooked IT and non-IT Courses and they are all successful in their current IT jobs. They just acquired the needed knowledge and skills over the years. In 'real world' , the course we took didn't really matter. What matter is the 'current' skills and knowledge(+the attitude) we have when we're applying for the job. Hope it helps. I mean the course is still useful because that serves as the foundation to what you called "current" skills, you wouldn't have your current skills without the latter experience you had when studying the course

To add up po as a CpE Graduate, Comp. Eng’g is a combination of 50% Electrical Engineering and 50% Computer Science. So di talaga siya Kaunting Software and Maraming Software. That, in my opinion, would be depending on you if you would focus on more of the software or hardware part. That’s one of the edge of being a CpE.
Hindi kami pwedeng tawaging Registered Engineers kasi wala naman kaming dadaanang Board Exam. Pwede kami tawaging Computer Engineer and maglagay ng “Engr.” as prefix or “,CpE” as suffix sa name namin as per CHED naman. Balita ko from our Org na Magkakameron na rin kami Board Exam from PRC but it’s taking so much time because of the scope ng Computer Engineering.
IT grad here, currently working as an IT Support CS, IT, IS, and CpE, it doesn't matter, all of these courses will land you on the same exact job opportunities. Just pick IT. Why? Because it is the easiest among all. CPE is 5 years. CPE and CS both have more advanced math and science.
BSCS here also. In our university, only BSCS has Game Development Programming (1 and 2) as major electives in its curriculum, which I'm also thankful for hehe. It also has 2D and 3D Game Art Development~

I want to share my opinion about CPE since I am a CPE Student. The approach of Computer Engineering is more "Applied" than Theoretical. Applied is being scientific, practical, mga nag exist, mga laws, and di pwede observations lang because you're using the principles of engineering to meet the standards and safety. CPE is a broad field talaga, lage misconception about sa CPE is about Hardware lang but it's really a broad course. May electives that you'll choose before you graduate either in Software, Network or Hardware. Keywords siguro ng CPE to distinguish from other engineering and IT professionals is Building, Designing and Applied. I hope makatulong ito. 😊 Btw, I like ur videos. Nakakagood vibes. Yup CS is must in detail pag dating sa Developing and Programming, Ang IT more on Informations at pagpapatibay ng Security ng isang Programs na binuo ng ComSci or CP, kagandahan lang sa BSIT yan lang yung course na pwede sa loob at pwede sa labas, I mean pwede ka sa loob ng websites as Security Researcher at pwede ka sa labas as websites Hacker, kaya na uso ang BSIT dahil sa mga sikat na hacker or security researcher na ng hahack ng ibat ibang websites, for good reasons, yung iba ng hahack para ipaalam sa nag develop ng websites ano kahinaan ng websites, at my ng hahack na for bad reasons, pero ang IT hindi dapat ginagamit sa ganyang paraan ang trabaho talaga ng IT is takpan o protectahan ang isang website or system, laban sa hacker sa labas yan ang trabaho ng isang IT or tulungan iimprove yung websites or system na ginawa ng ComSci or CP.

Nung 1st yr college ako CS yung una kong course then nung 2nd yr ako nagshift ako through IT kase nakita ko yung mga magiging electives namin pagdating ng 3rd yr at 4th yr meaning yung mga iispecialize namin na subject. (Depende din yan minsan sa curriculum at school) And as of now mas goods ako sa mga subjects ng IT kumpara sa CS subs ngayon. May mga strength and weakness talaga tayo pagdating sa mga subjects and kung sa tingin niyo na nahihirapan kayo ngayon sa course natin wag kayo panghinaan ng loob! Upcoming ICT student here. Our school doesn't have a programming subject for shs even though they had one in jhs which is weird, they only cover animation, chs and css for senior high. If there are ojt's in senior highschool can I apply for an internship that involves programming even if our school isn't going to teach/teaching it? Or is the scope of the internship limited to what the school teaches?
Hi! Applying internship for programming while not having a programming subject is not a great plan baka macancel internship mo. It's either you change schools na find one with a programming course/subject or stick to whatever course, intern to a company that revolves around whatever course you took and wait for college to apply for a course you originally wanted. If you really wanna stay in that school and also pursue programming, you can learn programming at home rin naman. Yung internships/work immersions kasi it depends on the system of the school. Sometimes schools choose where you guys will intern at, some will leave you guys to your own wits.

You don't seem to have done enough research in computer engineering, ma'am. Hardware and software are two major disciplines of computer engineering. Computer engineering is a combination of two courses, electrical engineering and computer science. As a result, fewer people study computer engineering courses since BSCPE is the most difficult of all computer courses.

Try researching about electronics engg, computer engg, and electrical engg. You'll know where computer engineering stands. Electrical engineering is for high consumption of energy.
EE -High Voltage,High Current, Power Production and Distribution, Machineries. Pero nag ooverlap pa rin mga disciplines na yan. Example is my father who is a Licensed EE but he handles Telecommunication Devices,Signal Processing, Telephony.

I'd say 6th gen above intel with 8gig of ram is more than enough. For AMD naman, ryzen 2nd & 3rd gen with 8 gigs of ram is also equivalent... What you need to see is if the computer provides what we call an SSD or a Solid State Drive whereby it provides much quicker speeds for boot times and app launches.

If you're referring to the list subjects ng BSCS students, it depends on the curriculum of the university. I will make a video about my whole first year experience as soon as I finish it so don't worry :)) But as a whole, BSCS students focus on learning how to develop different algorithms by programming/coding to solve modern-day solutions.

Hello po, ano po yung course na focus po siya sa software or programming or coding po? Pagnag-IT po ba, pwede bang mag-specialize sa software? Kung hindi naman po. Ano po yung course na kukuhain ko po like ikaw po yung magdedevelop ng mga applications? apps, games, softwares and magproprogramming in mobile or computer like yung gagawa po ako ng mga applications sa comp or mobile/any device na makakatulong po sa mga tao or oraganization. Halimbawa#1 po ay nagdevelop or nagprogramm po ako ng app na makakatulong po sa mga bulag po/may kapansanan po. Yung functions/uses ng app na pong iyon is kapag itinutok mo po siya sa isang bagay or saan po nakatapat yung camera marerecognize niya po yun and sasabihin niya po sa user kung ano po iyon para po mas mapadali po ang buhay nila/hindi po sila mahirapan masiyado. Halimbawa #2 po is yung kami po yung gumagawa ng mga applications po ba or software po? Na nakakatulong po sa tao o para po mapabilis yung trabaho/buhay ng isang tao po Sorry po kung marami po akong tanong at may parang mali po akong terms na nagamit. GAS po kasi ang strand ko po and hindi po ako familiar sa mga terms. Maraming salamat po sa pagsagot.
Computer Science is just a branch of mathematics. Sadly the curriculum here dumbs it down since most professors are mathematically illiterate, and out of touch with international academia and the industry here.

Yup CS is must in detail pag dating sa Developing and Programming, Ang IT more on Informations at pagpapatibay ng Security ng isang Programs na binuo ng ComSci or CP, kagandahan lang sa BSIT yan lang yung course na pwede sa loob at pwede sa labas, I mean pwede ka sa loob ng websites as Security Researcher at pwede ka sa labas as websites Hacker, kaya na uso ang BSIT dahil sa mga sikat na hacker or security researcher na ng hahack ng ibat ibang websites, for good reasons, yung iba ng hahack para ipaalam sa nag develop ng websites ano kahinaan ng websites, at my ng hahack na for bad reasons, pero ang IT hindi dapat ginagamit sa ganyang paraan ang trabaho talaga ng IT is takpan o protectahan ang isang website or system, laban sa hacker sa labas yan ang trabaho ng isang IT or tulungan iimprove yung websites or system na ginawa ng ComSci or CP.

Nung 1st yr college ako CS yung una kong course then nung 2nd yr ako nagshift ako through IT kase nakita ko yung mga magiging electives namin pagdating ng 3rd yr at 4th yr meaning yung mga iispecialize namin na subject. (Depende din yan minsan sa curriculum at school) And as of now mas goods ako sa mga subjects ng IT kumpara sa CS subs ngayon. May mga strength and weakness talaga tayo pagdating sa mga subjects and kung sa tingin niyo na nahihirapan kayo ngayon sa course natin wag kayo panghinaan ng loob! Malay mo magaling ka sa ganitong field pwedeng dito hindi. Analawak talaga kase ng CS at It sa totoo lang marami ka pwede madiscover. Year later, any updates po? How is the experience so far? Unsure si mama kung i su support niya ako sa field xD. My first plan is to take an IT course and then take a tertiary education course. Hi! Applying internship for programming while not having a programming subject is not a great plan baka macancel internship mo.
It's either you change schools na find one with a programming course/subject or stick to whatever course, intern to a company that revolves around whatever course you took and wait for college to apply for a course you originally wanted. If you really wanna stay in that school and also pursue programming, you can learn programming at home rin naman.
Yung internships/work immersions kasi it depends on the system of the school. Sometimes schools choose where you guys will intern at, some will leave you guys to your own wits.

Computer engineering is a combination of two courses, electrical engineering and computer science. If you're referring to the list subjects ng BSCS students, it depends on the curriculum of the university. I will make a video about my whole first year experience as soon as I finish it so don't worry :)) But as a whole, BSCS students focus on learning how to develop different algorithms by programming/coding to solve modern-day solutions.

Hello po, ano po yung course na focus po siya sa software or programming or coding po? Pagnag-IT po ba, pwede bang mag-specialize sa software? Kung hindi naman po. Ano po yung course na kukuhain ko po like ikaw po yung magdedevelop ng mga applications? apps, games, softwares and magproprogramming in mobile or computer like yung gagawa po ako ng mga applications sa comp or mobile/any device na makakatulong po sa mga tao or oraganization.
Halimbawa#1 po ay nagdevelop or nagprogramm po ako ng app na makakatulong po sa mga bulag po/may kapansanan po. Yung functions/uses ng app na pong iyon is kapag itinutok mo po siya sa isang bagay or saan po nakatapat yung camera marerecognize niya po yun and sasabihin niya po sa user kung ano po iyon para po mas mapadali po ang buhay nila/hindi po sila mahirapan masiyado.
