2022 Planter REVEAL - Precision Planting & 360 WAVE

- We have a few planter upgrades this season! We started off with installing new planter technology described below!
360 WAVE by @360yieldcenter - Slice the sidewall of the seed trench to lay it over the seed for better emergence, and applies fertilizer just on the other side of the slice.
REVEAL by @PrecisionPlanting - Pneumatic Row Cleaners that apply down pressure to clean debris from the seed row. REVEAL has a gauge wheel to limit the depth that the row cleaner removes debris, so as to not dig trenches for the seeds.

How Farms Work by Ryan Kuster is a TH-cam channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin. Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like. These videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us and we look to educate the world on many essential agriculture topics.
How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.

We planted sweet corn for years with a 1952 Allis Chalmers CA and a 4 row John Deere 7000.
The planter tractor at the research farm I work at is a 2009 John Deere 5075M as decked out as you can get it as far as the RTK, Greenstar and Autosteer stuff goes. Planter is a 4-Row John Deere 1705 Vacuum planter. Gonna be doing mostly beans this year, with a little corn thrown in there. We also have (for planting plots) a John Deere 7100 Planter cut down from a 4-row to a 2-row, and set up with Almaco Plotmaster Hoppers.
John deree 4020 with 12 john deere corn planter and a 4440 if a 3600 kinze 24-row bean planter.

Our planter and tractor setups are: a Case IH 1245 pulled by an AGCO DT220a , and a Case IH 900 cyclo pulled by an AGCO RT155a.
Plant all our corn with a double row white planter, pulled with a Ford TW-30
Here in Denmark we run a New Holland t7.270 and a vaderstad rapid for barley, rye, grass and silage peas.
Last year our Corn was planted with a John deere 6.250R with a maschio gaspardo 12 row planter by a contractor.
My brother runs a 4440 and 6 row 7000 planter. You have a nice planting rig.
Will be planting with a Kubota M6-141 on my no-till drill and a Case IH 885xl for the regular drill.
Planting tractor this year will be a 450 ih gas with a White 5100 4 row 30" planter
Good looking planter set up. With the high cost of seed you want to give them the best chance at producing.

Have a Ford-New Holland 8870 on a 7300 planter, and a T9.390 on an SDX 40 drill.

We use a Case Magnum 215 with duals All around and a 16 row 7200 jd planter with liquid fertilizer. We are trying the new twister closing wheels this year. They say a average of 5 bushel more acre over standard rubber wheels.
Ryan, we will be using a JD 8345R pulling a Harvest International bar with precision msets, delta force, vdrive, hdapply, and speed tubes. I think you will like the adjustability of your new row cleaners. Have a great spring.
My planter tractor is a White 2-135 . My planter is a White 6100 series 12 row .I have Demco fertilizer and it places the fertilizer below the seed. I use Trimble auto steer with range point RTX.

The planter tractors were going to be using are an Allis Chalmers 170 or a Kubota M8560 with a 6 row Deere 7000
On our farm we use a Case IH 305 Magnum with duals all around on a Case IH 1250 24 row planter. This will be our 4th year with the planter and running precision planting.
We use a Allis Chalmers 180 with a John Deere 7000 6 row narrow.
In dry areas we don't plant, we seed and our tractor is a 6195R. The autotrac makes long days easier for sure!

8270R 16r 1770NT center fill planter. RTK. Hopefully it's straight enough to use the new 12 row folding deere head.
This year I get to use a John Deere 9420RX pulling a 24 row precision planting loaded Deere planter
Well, Ryan I can tell ya what planter tractor we used to back in the day Case 730 comfort king diesel open station. Pulled a 4 row Massey Ferguson 467 corn planter.. had them right up until this on April 20 2001 when we had the machinery auction after my folks quit dairy farming.
Just put the yetter shark tooth row cleaners with clean sweep on my 16 row John Deere along with the 360 bandits instead of the Wave also added the 2020 seed sense monitor being pulled with a case magnum 310 cvt
Going to be cool to see how they effect seed and yield for yall in corn and soybean

Our planter tractor is a 2017 8245R with a 1725 12 row on 30in planter
We plant with a 4450 and a 1760 planter. That might change next year cause we want to put hydraulic downforce on the planter and that tractor doesn't have enough hydraulic capacity.

I actually saw Andrew a few days ago when I was driving through hazel green. Saw a nutrient truck looked in the window and it was Andrew.
I use a jd 8335r with a 1770 24 row planter works great!
Don't know if I'm gonna plant with our 8285r or 8420t! The reveals for our planter just got here last week now to get em on!
I'm pulling a 12 row 1760 with Coulter/trashwhip combos with a 2wd 7710 Deere. Perfect combination.
Corn planters are 8285r on a 1770 and 1775 and have a 8rx 370 on the air seeder which is a case 500t
We are using our case ih 7130, we have been using that and a kinze for over 10 years now
I use a john deere 4450 FWA tractor and my planter is a john deere 7000 with precision planting air clutches, airbags. I am planting to put air up and down row cleaners onnthe planter next year and i hope to put liquid fertilizer on next year two. Just their year i ran out of time to do al those things on the planter this year.
I think the upgrades will be pretty useful😉👍 let's see how the yields are this fall👍😁

We used a NFJD 720 with a JD 4 row planter
Our planter tractor has been the same since 2000, '92 Deere 2755 with a 1750 Deere planter
We use a John Deere 8130 on a 16 row white planter and a John Deere 7930 on a John Deere no-till air drill
I'd be curious to know if you could one day change that over to a speed planter with exact emerge.
we have 2 agco 225hp tractors 1 on a kinze 12 row 3600 and 1 on a white 9812 center fill planter.
I will be planting soybeans this year with a 4010 John deere and a john deere 495a planter.
STX 275 on a Kinze 3650 for corn and my uncle plants beans with an 8320 and 1790!
Planted corn this year with a International 424 Diesel pulling a 2 row John Deere 25b...

Case ih maxxum 5140 on a 6 row john deere 7000, we used to use a 4430 john deere to pull the planter
We're using a 8130 to plant corn and have a 8410 hooked on airdrill for soybeans

I like what you've got going on there, that is innovation! Whatever became of the concept of closure disks that had depth control wheels? I don't remember the brand the originated it. The idea was to form a firm 2 inch or so hump over the seed trench.

Used to plant with a Ford 8240 with mfd and a jd 7000 12 row. Not im changing to my allis chalmers 8030 2wd with the same jd 12row 7000
Nice that they had the nice shop for you to work in. Did it make you really think about getting a heated shop for the farm?
We used to run a 1965 Farmall 706 gas tractor for planting with a 4 row John Deere planter. Only computer we had was to keep you in a straightish line.
We also use a 706 gas, but we use a CaseIH 900 four row planter.
