So this video is a bit longer than the usual how to play videos but it goes alot more in depth
Let me know if you prefer this more in depth video over the shorter one, though it does of course depend on the deck
Considering I have just got this deck myself, I thank you for this video. I've been trying to figure it out and now because of this, I do! thank you homie!
i once fought and beat a jinzo deck with traptrix. i've never been so proud of dueling after that 😂
Lmaooo nice!
how does one accomplish this😭😭
@@andrews5938 i got lucky with my draws most likely 😭
Took me 3 mins and I figured this out. This is my first deck besides the dragon maids, and I'm new to the game, coming from MtG, thanks for the help! Smashed like six people in online from master duels
Awesome video! Love the more in depth breakdown. Looking forward to the breakdown for the 3x structure deck build.
Thanks! Glad you liked it
Good to hear you're looking forward to the 3x deck, I had alot of fun making it
Great video! Really made me want to get a couple more Traptrix decks to combine and try to use! The only thing I wish is that you covered some of the other non-traptrix monsters besides Artifact Moralltach
Love this video! Thanks for sharing, it was so helpful.
No problem, I'm glad you liked it!
I wanted to bring to your attention the wording of the card for Pinguicula. It says once per turn, that any time your opponents monster leaves the field via card effect (except during the damage steps). Using this you can steal fusion material or synchro or just spell fuel and give your 3500 with Atypus an additional immunity and effect fuel. Im not certain it surpasses Sera, but it is a top tier Traptrix. Easily run two at least. If i am misreading it please let me know
It is definitely a good heavy hitter for the end game, its effect can also steal cards removed by your trap holes and yea that extra protection could definitely be worth it against certain decks
But other than that I would put it on the same level as some of the others but yea that's definitely a good point
I didn't think they were cute, it's just a deck I had heard of but never seen so I ordered three of the deck. Waiting for them to get here.
i think the deck also has one of the best hand trap. the ash blossom. This card alone makes this deck one of the most competitive deck just by buying 3 structure decks. i hope that they somehow releasing new structure deck like this.
Honestly Ash alone makes this worth buying 3 of
Hi, I’m from the future. Ash Blossom has now taken over the world
Its my favorite deck of all time, but zero chance against the meta. I put a little diabellstar enginge in it, but since Baronne is banned, the dream is over
Damn hate when that happens
How did the Diabelle work in this deck?
thaanks
Really informative video. I'm curious about the Kaiju monsters though. You didn't cover them in this video. I was wondering how to best utalise those two and would love to hear your thoughts.
Kaijus are generally good monsters and they definitely work for this deck
The main reason to use Kaijus is to tribute your opponent's troublesome monsters, particularly those that negate effects or have protection against effects, where monsters can't be hit with a Trap Hole, a Kaiju will do the job
You could even Trap Hole your own Kaiju on your opponent's field if you have nothing else to remove it
Just curious, would you recommend running the "Beware of Traptrix" starter deck in Master Duel?
Depends what you want to do with it
If you're at a lower level then absolutely! To get a bit more competitive though you should at least combine 3 copies into 1 deck rather than using the deck as is
@@Senkara I ended up remaking the Starter Deck using my own copy of it... and I plan to make it 3x of that deck, unless it has a Shop Run I can buy more copies of it through? Although I did make a Hybrid DragonMaid+Traptrix deck... I think the duality of that deck terrified the twenty three people I ended up getting on Duel Cup matches as half quit at my third turn, a quarter in turn 1, and the remaining either ran out the clock or just slowly got whittled down with only Parlor, Sera and Atriax (The link spider who boosts attack if you have trap in grave, I might be confusing her name)...
Wait so if Dionaea is special summoned after a card is activated it loses it's affect or the other way around? Does it need to be chain link 1 or the last part to the chain link?
The effect that Special Summons Dionea needs to be Chain Link 1
Yeah! Skill Drain negated my Atypus, but why? What is the ruling for this situation? I got really confused when my Linked-Summoned Traptrix Atypus had her effects negated with a skill drain on the field even saying that is unaffected by traps if Linked-Summoned.
Great question!
The ruling here is a little complicated but basically;
If Atypus is already on the field before Skill Drain, then Skill Drain will NOT negate its effects, because it is unaffected by traps.
HOWEVER, if Skill Drain is already on the field before you summon Atypus, then Atypus' effects WILL be negated, because the effect that makes her unaffected hasn't come into play yet so it gets negated by Skill Drain
Hope that helps
@@Senkara Makes a bit more of sense, but for me it still not. Anyway, thanks for the explanation.
@@lucasmoreiraribeiro Basically whichever was on the field first takes effect
@@Senkara Oh! That makes simple as stupid kkkkkk. Thanks!
To note: Skill Drain only negates your Link monsters if it's resolved on the field; the XYZs don't have the same problem, since the XYZs don't have the stipulation "This XYZ Summoned monster[...]" and instead say "While this monster has XYZ material" which they do have during the summoning window, and thus are unaffected by a resolved Skill Drain.
So can you normal summon tratrix Raflasia?
No, Rafflesia is an xyz monster so she needs to be Xyz summoned, which is a special summon
@@Senkara i have no idea what that means 😅 I haven't played the game since it 1st came out years ago
@stephaniesigns6782 ah 😅
Well, it's like a fusion summon
The xyz monsters are black and go in your extra deck
Basically, to summon them, you put 2 monsters with the same level on top of each other, then put the xyz monster on top of that
Unlike a normal summon, you can do this multiple times per turn
@stephaniesigns6782 if you're interested in getting back into the game, I did do a short series on how to play, here:
