I have a 2006 Mazda Tribute, never changed the filter since I bought it brand new,so I decided to change the Cabin filter myself, when I saw your video! I did exactly what you did but when I went to pull out the my plastic cowling where the filter was, Surprise no filter!!!So I guess they never installed one at the factory when it was built 🤦🏼Anyway thank you for your video helped me out a lot I appreciate it 👍👍
Thank you for the video. Just inherited a 2003 tribute. Apparently, when I got to the filter. I noticed a bunch of gift paper bag tissue sheets. No reason for it at all. Last time it was serviced by grandpa’s go to repair shop. Just go to show how honest some business are.
Yes it is crazy the corners people will cut sometimes. On the upside these suv are really solid and reliable if maintained. I have several videos and these and the Ford Escapes in that year range as well which are basically the same. Thank you for watching.
I don't own one, but I'm the mechanic in the family. So this has definitely been informational and helpful Sir. Continue to help the public with your knowledge on these vehicles!! Thank you!! 👍🏾🦾
Thanks! On a side note, there is what appears to be a small spring-loaded filter located behind the glovebox of my Tribute. It seems as if this is an additional air intake point that can open when the pressure inside the vents is low...? Has anyone encountered this before?
