enjoyed your tutorial, very informative, worked like a charm, but I didn't have a pick so I used the small blade on my Swiss Army knife. You do everyone with an 01-06 Escape a great service. Thanks.
Nice and easy one... before the storm (from the sounds of it)! Looking forward to the upcoming videos! That filter looked like it had a nest! Guess rodents in the USA have the same habits as those in Canada! :)
Might be worth checking out Mike. I know some cars got them and some don't. Not sure about yours though. Thanks Mike for stopping in and leaving a comment!
Norman, I thought for sure that we would get some cooler weather. Just doing this little job made me sweat like hell. It went to 90 today and for the next week, we'll be hitting 90 until Friday. Then it goes down to 86. WhooHoo! Thanks for your comment and hope you get some relief too from this heat.
I'm definitely ready for fall as I'm putting jobs off now because of the heat. Even at night it's too humid to work on anything. And watch this year be the coldest winter in 50 years LOL...
Anyone know the part # for the plastic piece he took off first? Mine is broken where it hits windshield and it's leaking into floorboard in heavy rain.ty
Here is a link to a website for a Ford distributor online www.fordpartsshop.com/v-2001-ford-escape--xlt--2-0l-l4-gas/body--cowl The part is called a right cowl grill. Since I'm not sure what year, etc. that you have, I'll let you make that selection. The page that I have is for a 2001 Ford Escape, XLT with the 2.0L engine.
HaHa! I think this one was beyond shaking out and besides Jim, this is the wife's car. She was standing over my shoulder and wouldn't hear of it :) And it's not surprising that people want to save money wherever they can.
For sure Ozz. Going through all the easy PM stuff and then will start doing the harder stuff since I don't know the history of this vehicle. Printing out wiring diagrams now to hook up a scope and get some baseline wave forms. Seems it's always something to do :)
Great 👍🏼 one of the best direct and informative vids I’ve seen mate !
Thank you very much Dylan!
Mahalo for taking the time to share...This is awesome! I will replace mine ASAP
Glad you liked the video!

You're quite welcomed Gordon!
Nicely done team. That was definitely ready for a change!
Thanks Jonathan. I think this filter got it's money's worth :)

Didn't see any sign of a rodent, but it could have been one there in the past. Yeah, a few more jobs to do on the PM stuff. Thanks Thomas...
Yep looked like it needed changed Terry! I have to see if my Volt has one. It is a 2011 and I never changed it.

thumbs up,,,, greetings from Honduras C.A.
Hey Lawrence and thanks for the thumbs up! Be sure to say hello to your friends in Honduras from the US...
Great video as always. The location for cabin filter was very odd in this make and model.
Hey Johan...yes, usually the filter is behind the glove box, but Ford decided to put it under the cowl on this model. Thanks for dropping in.
Hot dog oh my did it need changing. Nice one buddy..
Yeah, it was in pretty bad shape Steve. Just going through some PM stuff. Thanks for leaving a comment!
Thanks my friend..
You are welcome!
Good video ! It looks like it hasn't cooled off over your way either 😰
