  • Los Hervideros, the unbeatable Atlantic powerhouse in action
The so-called "boiling springs" of Los Hervideros began to form during the time of volcanic eruptions on the southwest coast of Lanzarote. Nowadays, these cliffs represent a unique tourist spectacle.
Beyond Los Hervideros, head to the area between El Golfo and Janubio lagoons, which is best accessed by the main road from the town of Yaiza. It is 30 kilometers almost due west from the capital Arrecife.
    Don't miss a unique spectacle
Los Hervideros are formed by petrified volcanic lava that solidified in the Atlantic Ocean. They occupy several kilometers of vertical and rocky shores from the south of the island to Timanfaya National Park.
You can admire the tremendous power of water up close. Looking at the waves crashing against the coastal rocks, you will think that the Atlantic is boiling. Have a wonderful peek and of course be very careful!
