- In Lanzarote, one of the Canary Islands, Timanfaya National Park dazzles its visitors. Its landscape seems almost alien; the result of volcanic eruptions from as recently as 300 years ago. Lava and magma have created a scene straight out of science fiction where, despite its severity, life continues to bloom. Strange rock and land formations tinged with red, yellow and orange await, making this a place you'll never forget.
I went here as a kid, back in the 90s and still remember this place like it was yesterday - the food being cooked over the hot grill and the geyser, it's still exactly the same which is nice
Same it was probably 2002 or something when I went everything looks exactly the same I remember the restaurant with curved glass like that and had some volcanic cake in there from what I remember.
I've been here years ago was great experience. Around that grill you can hardly stand. The heat penetrates your shoes real quick.
This is super, thank you for sharing!
I went here in 2014 such an amazing place to go
It’s well worth a visit 👍
Go with a tour company coach.
You get priority parking.
In private car you will have to wait an hour and a half inside your car for parking.
You can't get out and wander around in the park. It is a protected environment.
Looks incredible, but the volcano is still very active. It's just not erupting
Timanfaya National Park reminds me of Haleakala National Park on the Island Maui in Hawaii.
I’m in Lanzarote right now 24/2/24
