  • I picked up the new Revoslot Porsche 911 GT2 Repsol slot car last week at CincySlots. I test and tune and see what sort of times I can get on the Carrera layout!

    amazing how, "happens, happens..lol.. nice hotrod...Nice video, Marty...n yes a light profile on the front of the guide will help the guide transition over the joints of the track and the slot profile of the of the groove. helps a ton. great point in this video.

    Stunning car, I know it's wagging it's tail a bit but it looks epic through those S turns. Don't tune too much character out of it, sometimes the best slot car is the one you can showboat with 😁

    Not new to slotcars but new to hardbody 1:32's and home tracks. I heard Revoslots are great for commercial tracks but not home tracks due to no magnets or weight adjustments. A car that loose as in the video would be a hazard to race against two cars on a track, maybe fun on a single lane hillclimb. Thoughts guys?

    • @twolinesslotcars
      @twolinesslotcars  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Jim, Revoslots are great cars. I am still fighting this car a little.. still a little tail happy. My other Revoslot Ferrari 333 is much more stable. No reason not to try one out on a home track. Next month we are running Revoslot GT at the club. It will be a great class of cars.

    That was really cool Marty and honestly I e only been doing this 6-7 months and I have never seen drifting and speed like that before haha was really cool and just an hour ago I ran my Revo Fez 333 the momo one coz bro got the twin pack for birthday and I have the f40 with the stock magnet and yeah they're defs harder than Carrera at 1st even a bit turn offy haha BUT! That started changing over last 4 weeks and had to run the 333 magnetless coz the cab is so huge it actually interfered as flat as it is. Oh man after the 1st 10mins I had this thing linking 3 sometimes more corners in continuous drift and felt like I was 20 again iny R33 Skyline haha.
    Sorry for the ear bash but been watching ya a while now and I'm basically you at the moment but about 5 months behind haha and just going through my REAL SLOT CARS phase last month and a bit.
    It's funny coz Revo are becoming my favourite to drive even tho still slower than my better Carrera cars but the NSR and now since finally bought the Sunoco 512 and been driving it I can safely say it will break the lap record tomorrow box stock and no even trued up.
    Keep up the good stuff and keep slotting away my slot car brother from another mother 😁✌🏽

      Chris, you will not regret it. Really good right out of the box.. but with a bit of pretty simple tuning.. they get quicker. They are a joy to drive.. can sort of throw them around, drive them into the corner a little deeper.

    Hi Marty, nice review of these nice cars. I have some remarks. The wooden track shoe does not work for me even on a wooden track! The loose tail disappeared by adding a piece of lead in front of the motor. I also put a little ring under the T- brass nuts to create a bit more movement. It goes fine on Carerra and wood. regards, JW

    • @twolinesslotcars
      @twolinesslotcars  ปีที่แล้ว

      JW, thanks you so much. I will add some weight just in front of the motor to see if it calms mine down a little bit more! I put gorilla tape between the chassis and the brass bits to quiet down the chatter and allow it to move. Thanks for the tips!

    Make those ball bearings work for you. Put them in a cup with lighter fluid overnight. It will dissolve the stock grease, Remove and wipe down the ball bearing and use a good slot car oil on them. This will really help the ball bearing work for you.

    Loved the video. I just purchased my new digital track 1/32 . Do Revo cars require a digital chip to run on the digital track?

    • @twolinesslotcars
      @twolinesslotcars  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, you will need to chip the revoslots… there are devices out the that allow you to switch your track from digital to analog.

  • @bradsanders6954
    @bradsanders6954 ปีที่แล้ว

    My track is pretty much the opposite of yours, it has a jump, a good steep long uphill section and corresponding downhill into tight corner, and all corners have some banking, + the big high bank corner. It keeps changing though.
    Fine tuning at this point. A Revoslot might be just the thing.

    I couldn't help but notice the front end bouncing up and down quite a bit. Could it be that the wood slot guide goes just a tad too deep? I'm guessing It should never touch the bottom of the slot even if you round the end.
