This is actually my second phone, leaving tecno pop 5 pro😅 Had it within last two weeks I have the 8/256 version...and i think i have the best experience from any smartphone I won't use wired headphones...so i had no problem with that😅 Highly recommended!
I just bought one of these phones from Argos. I had to pay what I could afford. Now I decide to watch reviews🤣 I love my 2019 Samsung galaxy A70. However the battery doesn't last very long. So it has to be replaced. Great review btw, for what I could afford I'm happy. Luckily I never use the headphone socket, always Bluetooth.
Watching this on my Galaxy A50 using it for like 6 years, it's still Running & Smooth UI. And trust me A50 is still in competition with these A15 and A16 models
Thank you for saving me from buying this. 😅 I’ve been planning to get this phone over the redmi note 14 bcoz samsung is a trusted brand, however I need the screen recording which it doesn’t have. So again, thank you. 😄
@ yup. A friend of mine suggested that too. My only issue with that is the ads. Frequent ads unless you purchase/subscribe in that particular app. Also, i have an iPhone. I just need a secondary phone for my task in case i’ll charge it.
@@francisoseiduodu Same processor with all the accessories and more features. Samsung is becoming lazy and just throwing in updates to justify their expensive prices
I wish I had gotten the A16, I definitely want the 6 years of software updates. I still use my galaxy a03s after 3 years and wanted to keep it for another three but it was no longer supported; so I got the a15.
Personally, I would go for the A16 because it would get more software updates & security patches and because it's a newer phone meaning, I don't have to worry about saving up again in case of unforeseen circumstances like say the battery draining quickly. Also, you could still go for the S20. Especially if your into in playing high-end games, multitasking, and want a great camera for vlogging or taking great photos. The only downside is like I said earlier, the older battery, lack of future updates, and potentially the phone getting a bit laggy over time.
Stil use the a15 4g.and i must say,the cameras i use are really good, have made eccelent photo's .pro mode has much possabilities.and as a music bank, its amazing, use it very often whith my wired headphone(in ear).have no reason to upgrade to the a16😊😊
If you are considering buying this phone don't there are alot more better options like the samsung M35 5g infinix note 30 pro or the xiaomi note 14 that released recently
That's actually true. I just changed phone from Android 10 to 15 and don't notice much difference. In the early days of Android it was changing alot but not much now.
@@jonfreeman9682 I understand that, but they are the manufacturers themselves so they're realistically getting the best price for the screen compared to other manufacturers who use their displays.
Samsung budget phones sell only for the trust buyers have on the company and the software in the phone. Otherwise other companies like POCO, MI, Motorola, etc. have made much better budget phones hardware wise.
@EugosonQuorch thanks boss, I no dey miss your reviews and so far 😂 I don buy the itel s25ultra last year and it's doing fine sha And at least it's fine to see. All these Samsung budget phones just be like punishment at this point. Maybe Samsung buy way too much of those hardware style.
What is ugly about the phone? If u don't like it, must you talk down on it. I got this phone on December, I don't fucking care about the u notch... am OK with it
This is the worst phone I've had in years. I've been a Samsung user since 2012. I had to downgrade from an s22 and this phone is so slow I'm losing my mind. What a waste of money.
I was going to get this but the bottom chin & U-notch was too much for me. Decided to go with an Oppo A3x which isn't the best in terms of camera & performance but had lesser bezels, was cheaper, and had a good design And MOST IMPORTANTLY HAD NO U-NOTCH LOL
@afronattyKing it's alright to be fair, it's better than my previous phone (A05). I like the design, the OS, it's smooth, and plenty bright (1000nits) the only downside is it's camera.
If your into cameras a lot, then I wouldn't recommend getting it. But if you're just a casual user and don't care a lot for performance or cameras. Then It's good, it charges fast, the design pops and The OS feels well made. Right now, I'm considering getting it's flagship brother, the Oppo Reno 13 but it's not yet out in the UK.
The u-shaped notch and heavy chin is a big turn-off, especially the u shape notch. I mean, even the lowest of itel phones have the punch hole. Why can't Samsung do the same with their $150 dollars phone.

As always great review bro looking forward to comparison with similar priced devices
I actually prefer the teardrop camera over the holepunch. holepunch takes more space and those pixels around are unused anyways.
Finally I'm not alone. IDGAF about what people say about teardrop notch and thick bezels, for me it's still comfortable to use
Totally agree. That little bit of light above the hole punch is useless. It's just an aesthetic thing.
finally someone said it..

From competitors you get better, dual speakers, headphone jack, charger, hole punch cutout, 120hz, thinner bezels and more features
Yes but you miss out on the Samsung one ui experience, best UI on android👌
At least Samsung os ain't laggy

what was that racing game you played? it looks pretty sharp
Redmi offers way better hardware for that price, but Samsung's OneUI is just way better

You don't get 6 OS updates. Redmi abandons their phones after it's sold.

Hellooo...uhm could you do Tecno pova 6 pro?
Has the phone Dolby Atmos ???

I'm ready to forgive everything about this phone, but not the lack of a gyroscope...
No gyroscope is wild in 2025.
There should be one. It's standard even on the cheapest phone.
Please do a review for Samsung m35
The u notch is beautiful compared to punch hole, have used a lots of punch holes,i have to get a15 late last year

they're justifying the lack of new features by adding the 6 years of os upgrades
His argument is valid. That phone can't even last 3yrs
Instead of the ultrawide and a macro they should just give a better main camera with ois.

It still baffles me that Samsung, one of the leading manufacturers of smartphone displays, continues to release phones with a teardrop notch.
This is a budget phone. Cost is the reason. It's easier to cut a display with a notch than a hole. Not sure how much they save though.

In my opinion the u shaped notch looks even worse than the A15's one, it just looks weirdly tall and out of place.
After 2 updates the phone's specs won't run the UI smoothly anyway. Its Helio G99 for god's sake.
