@@fatihersayn7877 Michael the Brave (Vlad the Impaler grandfather) had no interest in the Ottoman Empire, and he was on good terms with the prince of the Emperor at that time (Musa). He was friends with him apparently his mother had origins in the European area near current Romania, ( Musa was seen a national, but this is more or less a rumour). The defeat of Sultan Beyazid I by Timur Lenk (Tamerlane) at Ankara in the summer of 1402 opened a period of anarchy in the Ottoman Empire and Mircea took advantage of it to organize together with the Hungarian king a campaign against the Turks (Mircea wanted to promote Musa and used the Hungarians and Austrians for this plot). Mircea took part in the struggles for the throne of the Ottoman Empire and enabled Musa to ascend that throne (for a brief reign). Musa lost to Mehmet, and he was seen as an enemy by the upcoming generations, Vlad Dracula and The Impaler. Truth be told, he had an entrance to the Danube river and the Black Sea and the Hungarian Kingdom sustained by the Austrians took advantage of this. It is more the work of Hungarians and Austrians. Mircea and his kids and grandkids ruled the country for the next 2-3 centuries with interruptions. His children battled for the throne. Also, there are rumours that Mehmet (Mahomet) from the clip was actually gay and in love with Radu the Beautiful. They could have made a very beautiful LGBT story. That would have been accurate, especially if they added the letters sent to each other.
I agree. This is terribly inaccurate, like so many of the historical series on Netflix today it doesn’t come close enough to what really happened and that’s a shame because often times, especially in this particular case, history is far more epic than fiction.

Yep. He was also a dirty coward who fled with his tail between his legs to Hungary because he couldn't defeat Mehmet militarily. Vlad was a monster and it wasn't until the late 1800s that he was reinvented as a hero.

When Mehmet II was on his way to conquer Trabzon ( a small city in the Northern region of Turkey which was in the hands of the Venecians at that time ).It was very hard to ride there with horse. The region was very mountainous and full of forests. So Mehmet II had to walk most of the time. He also once slipped and hurt his hands. The Mother of Uzun Hasan, Sare Hatun, who was sent to Mehmet II as a messenger by his son before, was also at this conquest. ( He took her with him until the conquest was complete, so his Rival would not dare to attack him behind his back). Sare Hatun who saw this, told him: "Son, you are a big emperor ! What is the importance of this small city? That turned an emperor like you to a foot soldier"? Mehmet II replied: " Mother! This effort is not for Land and Glory. Rather it is we, who have the sword of Islam in our hands. If we don't bear the pain that comes with it, then surely it will be a lie to call us Gazi ( someone who fights for Allah and gets injured by doing so ). And at the day of reckoning i can not stand before Allah out of shame." Yes, this was the mentality of Mehmet the conqueror, whom our beloved Prophet praised. May Allah have mercy on his soul.

Yea Historically wrong, there has been no Historical document suggesting ever that a Sultan had duel with any warrior or leader especially Mehmet and Vlad. And for @Kavan Shah, there's no Ottoman source that says Vlads head was taken to Constantinople. There's just one letter written by Vlads cousin Stephen the Great of Moldavia which was sent to the mayor of Sibiu in Transylvania, it says that Vlad was ambushed by an Ottoman patrol and killed, and that his head was taken to Constantinople, but Stephen was not at the Battle nor at Constantinople to know those things. Especially when no Ottoman source even suggests that has happened. There's also text saying that Vlad was not even killed by the Ottomans, but in fact by the Tatars. A Romanian Chronicle says that the Tatars were the ones that killed Vlad in a Battle. Which In a historical perspective makes sense. Mehmet lost in Moldavia, Wallachia and in Hungary which the Ottomans didn't have the capacity to recruit another army, so how Mehmet has done previously against Vlads Cousin Stephen the Great, he asked the Khan of Crimea to take an army against Wallachia. Even so, Stephen the Great In a letter to Brașov, writes that a Tatar army has passed through Chilia in Basarabia (modern Budjac Ukraine) and went to Wallachia which Stephen was worried for Vlads life. So just as you see, Vlads death is very controversial and we don't know what happened to Vlad. But the head taken to Constantinople is chronologically wrong.

Mehmet respected Vlad as a worthy adversary and was terrified of him. Vlad spoke perfect Turkish and would even disguise himself as a Turk and fool them the way he did when he ordered them to open the gates in Turkish to a fort he sacked when he and his soldiers were dressed like Turks. Vlad was a genius military commander and he was as brave as a lion always fighting outnumbered at least 5 to 1. Mehmet possessed the largest and most powerful military at the time and still struggled with little Wallachia 🤣, get real!

Ottomans reign is surely one of the greatest dominant and well remembered alongside with the Roman Empire the mongol empire Alexander’s empire and so on.

Amazing how people will defend Vlad and hate Mehmed simply because its a Turkish production. Look. I have been studying the Ottomans and Mehmed for some time now. This show is 85% accurate. Some parts are exaggerated, but with Vlad, they have toned down his craziness. Vlad was really an unhinged man in reality. Here, he is just shown as brutal
I think your a muslim or a turk , a man fighting for his country for his faith is evil? Who Is the invader here? mehmed ? Or Vlad , who devasted the holy Christian city of Constantinople ? Vlad or mehmed ? Vlad crazy? No turk he was not in Romania his a National Hero.
Yep. He was also a dirty coward who fled with his tail between his legs to Hungary because he couldn't defeat Mehmet militarily.
Vlad was a monster and it wasn't until the late 1800s that he was reinvented as a hero.
It's 100% biased toward the Turks, and Vlad III wasn't unhinged at all.
For clarifications or additions to what was said above, I recommend "Corpus draculianum" on youtube. The dramatic life of Vlad Tepes exposed in the chronicles of the time, his correspondence, the administrative documents from his period. All presented by professional historians, who, like Sherlock Holmes, try to bring Vlad to light, beyond legends and vicious propaganda.
Actually it's very hard for people to find out how Vlad was like (in real life) because there's too many legends and stories about him. But in reality he wasn't mad. And as a romanian I know this because he did good things for his country.

Sare Hatun who saw this, told him:
"Son, you are a big emperor ! What is the importance of this small city? That turned an emperor like you to a foot soldier"?
Mehmet II replied: " Mother! This effort is not for Land and Glory.

But the head taken to Constantinople is chronologically wrong.

this battle never existed between Vlad Dracu and Mehmed in the front, because in the night attack that Vlad initiated, some of the Wallachians were dressed in Ottoman clothes to cause confusion and attacks on their own soldiers among the enemies, and Vlad had the mission to assassinate Mehmed. Good until here! The assassination failed causing Mehmed to be mistaken for a general, and Mehmed retreated seeing his troops fighting among themselves. This series favors the Turkish side, of course.. the series is original and made in Turkey. let's remember in this night battle nearly 15,000 Ottomans die. There was no fight like that. Vlad escaped to Hungary but Hungarian jailed and killed him. These scenes must be true stories. İt is not Game of trones finally.
Vlad Dracula will always be considered a martyr, a godly Christian man, a Noble Christian, he has no fear in the face of death, a champion for Orthodox Christianity ☦️
How many christian he killed you know ?
He was Catholic, not Orthodox.
There's no nobility in being a Christian. Their God has been slaughtering innocent people forever. Evilness personified.
Who is Dracula here, the guy on the left looks more like Dracula from the portrait but at the same time he seem like he could be Turkish and the guy on the right looks nothing like Dracula.
Fiction. Mehmed actually ran away like a coward.
Is that why mehmed took targovishte in no time while little vlad was running to beg for help from, Moldova, Hungary, the pope and god knows on how many more doors he knocked, interesting how he is begging for help like a dog, when he actually hated beggars and killed all the beggars in his country, cowerd like vlad can never fight in the open and even for that they always need help... mehmed raised and educated a dog who turned against him and tried to bite him, but at least radul was a grateful and decent man...
Ottoman Empire, the MOST POWERFUL EMPIRE OF all TIME
🥶🥶🥶🥶
Vlad made Mehmet run away like a coward in front of his troops when they came upon the "forest of the impaled" where around 30 thousand Turkish soldiers were impaled! This is from Turkish history books, after Mehmet's generals ran after him and told him not to flee in front of his soldiers, Mehmet said something like, "I do not wish to take the lands of a man who is willing to go to such extremes to defend them".
On deadliest warrior they showed what Vlad’s sword could do to a pig carcass and it went right through it.
And the entire show was historically inaccurate at least season 2 was.
Kandırın bakalım kendinizi
I don't think Mehmet had a chance to win if he fight vlad one on one
And how do U exactly know?
Quite right. There's no text suggesting that Mehmet had a duel with no one in his entire life. For a matter of a fact, no Ottoman source confirms that any Sultan had a duel. But Vlad has have against Vladislav the Second.

I read the comments, there are some who think this fight happened. No, sorry but it didn’t, in reality vlad never found sultan mehmed. Because you can’t reach to the biggest conquerer of era. Also Mehmed wouldn’t bother to run after a bandit to kill him. He had many big issues to follow instead of running after a bandit. Janissaries killed and took vlad’s head and brought to mehmed. End of the story.
In reality that don't happened ... because Vlad failed to enter in the sultan's tent , and Vlad killed an ottoman general who slept in the sultan's tent , obviously being in a war campaign , the sultan had security measures on high level... but the "night attack" was a "commando operation" planned by Vlad Tepes, very bold plan...this means to be a true leader of your army! very courageous! nowadays , most generals of armies stay in bunkers far away from battlefield...
search on youtube the channel "HistoryMarche" and search for Battle of Targoviste , part one and part two , you will see the real events , not turkish propaganda
@@dand7763 dear friend, i am turkish but I don’t believe in propaganda. Vlad was a smart man. He was the friend of Sultan Mehmed. But i can tell you this, Mehmed was in Egypt while janissaries are getting vlad’s head. This is what i know. And i am an atheist so i am not writing these things to support muslim or turkish arguments. Mehmed was a great leader. He was considered the most complete conqueror of era even by European historians. And he was a very open-minded sultan. Even today we miss him but we don’t miss monarchy of course.

When i saw ottoman army in this movie i was so disappointed, like why would you show that Ottoman Army was full of infantry? I am sure there were cavalry more than infantry. Also all of the army was wearing Janissary uniform. And wallachians using hit and run tactics with horse archers? Ottomans had horse archers more than wallachians yet they dont have countermeasures for the strategy they've been using for years? What the fuck?
that is a very good documentary

Fatih Sultan Mehmet was unique. She was the last great emperor and kaiser. Dracula could never cope with Conqueror's war strategy. Vlad Dracula was a murderer who killed innocent people by impalement because she couldn't deal with Mehmet. However, there was a fact that Mehmet would not die without taking his revenge. For this reason, Vlad Durula's head was impaled and poured into the streets of Istanbul.
Her fight may have been long but for the first time she got what she deserved, not just in the bad guys movies, but in real life as well.
