Sure, it's obviously extremely important to be able to dance and sing, but also having that presence, expressions, personality, aura, etc. Look at produce 48, the girls that didn't make it were the ones who lacked certain aspects of a stage maker. Sure they had the skills, but did they bring it on stage? No not really. I'm not trying to bring the girls down because they did amazing, I just feel they could add a little more emotion into it. To some, this trait takes time. To others, it's a given talent.

@@kpopnimation yeah, but is it their faults they don’t have better vocal coaches?? maybe instead of hating the idols we should be encouraging them to do better. the company are the ones who should be taking action and making sure the girls get the right vocal training. if they continue to show lack of vocal skill and prove to us they aren’t making an effort is when we can start to truly hold them accountable for their actions they are now causing. i do think their vocals could use work and they definitely do NOT meet up to the standards, but i definitely won’t go around bashing underaged idols for it.

Hybe and JTBC should have seen this come already during the show, yet they ignored it and continued to favoritize and eventually rig the show for her, when they realized the favoritism didn't work. They better have the proper tools to help her dealing with all of this, because regardless of how people say "hate the show/company not the idols" there's going to be a lot of people who ignores this and will target her directly. I personally am really angry and disappointed, which I'm going to express, I'm not going to become a fan of the group, only be a casual listener, since I do like Yunah, Minju and Youngseo + I at least trust Hybe to give them good music But I'm going to express my anger, in hope of making sure it NEVER happens again. I won't be targeting her, however I am very much going to ignore her. I have no interest in her after taking another contestants spot. She could have been so talented and well loved, if only they had given her a couple of years training before debuting, but they absolutely had to ruin it for her.

In reality, we are dealing with a "pretty privilege" and a potential "Nepo baby" which is why Wonhee is so much more disliked compared to Iroha. And while, yes, visuals do mean a lot within K-pop, there's absolutely no denying it. It isn't enough for an idol to claim or defend a spot, especially during a survival show. Specially a minor would need something to defend themselves when debuting. For instance, Niki of Enhypen, Niki was young, however the outrage of him being so young was very small and almost non existing, because he could at least defend himself with his dancing skills In the same way we have Iroha, Iroha isn't nearly as much criticized as Wonhee, because she is at least known for her dancing. Is her dancing actually that good? No, she has a tendency to overdance and get a hold on herself, but she is well on her way to becoming main dancer material. Like Wonhee, give Iroha a year or two, and she could have debuted with proper vocals and a main dancer position.

It's the judges fault and the show for being biased to her. They literally made her the "punching bag" for debuting her so early in her training. Knetz are notorious for faulting idols that are not good enough. And international fans are bitter for ignoring the well trained trainees. It's bound to happen she just needs to strengthen her mindset and mentally, And show knetz and international netizens na she deserves and she will improve more in the coming months or years of her career to shut the haters and so they can learn to appreciate her. Besides the fact that there are some people who hate her because they were fans of someone who got eliminated, her being able to win also represents a lot of what’s wrong with survival shows and the pure cancer that is lookism which plagues kpop. I noticed wonhee in their debut music video and it made me curious about the group. I ended up watching the survival show and loved every bit of it. It’s unfortunate that a lot of talents were dropped but it’s a survival show only the best of the best makes it. Rooting for Illit ❤️

Her cuteness just adds onto that. And i'm not comparing the 2 in a malicious way, i'm showing off how it's not just your skills that are needed to be an idol. Sure, it's obviously extremely important to be able to dance and sing, but also having that presence, expressions, personality, aura, etc. Look at produce 48, the girls that didn't make it were the ones who lacked certain aspects of a stage maker. Sure they had the skills, but did they bring it on stage? No not really. I'm not trying to bring the girls down because they did amazing, I just feel they could add a little more emotion into it.

In reality, her being a minor is simply the top of the iceberg.
In reality, we are dealing with a "pretty privilege" and a potential "Nepo baby" which is why Wonhee is so much more disliked compared to Iroha.
And while, yes, visuals do mean a lot within K-pop, there's absolutely no denying it. It isn't enough for an idol to claim or defend a spot, especially during a survival show.
Specially a minor would need something to defend themselves when debuting.
For instance, Niki of Enhypen, Niki was young, however the outrage of him being so young was very small and almost non existing, because he could at least defend himself with his dancing skills
In the same way we have Iroha, Iroha isn't nearly as much criticized as Wonhee, because she is at least known for her dancing. Is her dancing actually that good? No, she has a tendency to overdance and get a hold on herself, but she is well on her way to becoming main dancer material.
Like Wonhee, give Iroha a year or two, and she could have debuted with proper vocals and a main dancer position.

It's the judges fault and the show for being biased to her. They literally made her the "punching bag" for debuting her so early in her training. Knetz are notorious for faulting idols that are not good enough. And international fans are bitter for ignoring the well trained trainees. It's bound to happen she just needs to strengthen her mindset and mentally, And show knetz and international netizens na she deserves and she will improve more in the coming months or years of her career to shut the haters and so they can learn to appreciate her. I knew this would happen, I talked to my friends who I watched the show with about this happening before it did. Thankfully, since it’s Weverse, those people will all be banned from the community. People need to remember she’s not a fault for winning the show. She didn’t choose win, she worked for it. I really hope these comments don’t affect her too much, she’s so cute and bubbly, I don’t want that to go away. She doesn’t deserve hate, but the reason she’s hated isn’t necessarily petty. Besides the fact that there are some people who hate her because they were fans of someone who got eliminated, her being able to win also represents a lot of what’s wrong with survival shows and the pure cancer that is lookism which plagues kpop. To a lot of people, she’s the equivalent of that one person who never studied so much as one measly second yet aces every test. This still isn’t her fault though so hate isn’t justified, but it’s understandable.

Probably cause Iroha has her dancing skills to fall back on. It’s like Niki from Enhypen. He was 15 too, but had amazing dancing skills so people were able to overlook him being so young. Sadly Wonhee objectively was less talented than some of the contestants who were not picked, and so people are upset. I mean it was obvious what the final line-up would be anyways and that Wonhee was the favorite but she doesn’t deserve this level of hate. There are definitely some that are hating just to pick on someone but majority are mad their bias didn’t make it especially when Wonhee was first even though the other girls chosen for debut are also more talented than her in different fields

I noticed wonhee in their debut music video and it made me curious about the group. I ended up watching the survival show and loved every bit of it. It’s unfortunate that a lot of talents were dropped but it’s a survival show only the best of the best makes it.

It's so unbelievably immature to bully a kid when nothing she did is her fault. I don't have bias for her at all as my top picks were Chanelle, Moka and Jiwoo, but- blame the judges and the show itself, not Wonhee. Yes, other trainees who trained for way longer absolutely deserve their chance and I get being upset, but Wonhee had nothing to do with that.
Wonhee's skill and talent grew throughout the show, and she'll hold her own just fine in the group. She had her funny moments, and and she overall seems like a lovely person. On top of that, she's a child and she doesn't deserve death threats. If you're bitter or frustrated with the final lineup (I know I am), just ignore the group. Support whatever your picks are gonna do in the future, find a different group to stan, and ignore Ill-It. Please don't blame Wonhee or any of the girls for things they had no control over, they worked hard to debut too.

@@kpopnimation i don’t get that argument, there’s always gonna be “more talented trainees” but talent isn’t all that’s gonna get you noticed in show business. it’s a specific aura and energy you radiate. it’s also your looks and image. it’s said that judges on kpop auditions know within seconds whether they’re gonna pass you or not because it’s how you carry yourself that really catches people’s eye. when you look at any debuted idol you just know you’re looking at a star. something like that isn’t learned, it’s who you are.
