    I love watching your videos because you take your time explaining step by step in your project ♥️ it makes it so easy to follow 👍🏼 so many You Tube Quilters don’t do that . And another thing I appreciate is you give all the information a person needs to make that quilt for free . It drives me crazy when they show a pattern but 1st you have to buy how to make it 🤪. Thank you for all your amazing videos ❤ I’ve been Subscribed to your channel for awhile ♥️

    Some quilters say wash fabric before and some say no. Either works if that is what you want to do. I never wash before I make my quilts. Also if you hand bind your quilt you machine sew the binding on the front and bring to the back and hand sew. FYI I always do mine your way. Love your videos. You explain everything clearly and in detail. Thank you for helping all of us.

    Thank you so much for this panel video. I made 2 Christmas panels, 1 for each of my 2 grown children for their homes for St. Nicholas Day, December 6th ....first time for me trying this but with your step by step instructions & videos, YOU made it possible! I didn't think I would be able to do this on my not so special sewing machine, but when you said even your grandmothers machine worked, I was inspired!❤ I hope they like them! You give your viewers the confidence to try & accomplish their projects..THANK YOU! ❤ P.S. you have a beautiful family, congrats on your grandson.❤

      Hi Charlotte. You can go to joann.com and see if they still have it on there website. I noticed a week ago that there were more panel fabrics at my Joann's but they were a different design. Also, do a search on the internet. You might be able to find it at other internet fabric stores. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍

    Oh this is so pretty, I love the colors. Do you wash all of your material before you cut?

    • @TheSewingRoomChannel
      @TheSewingRoomChannel  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Emily. Yes and no. If I am using very dark colors with very light colors, I will prewash the fabric. The dark colors will run into the light colors and ruin your project. It has happened to me. If you are making clothing, I recommend you wash the fabric before cutting into it. Stay safe. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.

    • @TheSewingRoomChannel
      @TheSewingRoomChannel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Julie. Yes, you can prewash the fabric, but do a zigzag stitch in the 2 raw edges before washing to prevent the fabric from unraveling. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing. 😍

    How can I make a quilt from a square quilt panel

    • @TheSewingRoomChannel
      @TheSewingRoomChannel  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Lori. It depends on how big you want it to be. If you want it to always be a square,😍 then you can add multiple different border strips. To turn it into a rectangular quilt, add a decorative strip at the top and bottom. Then add one or more border strips on all 4 sides. Thanks for watching, and happy sewing.
