I agree totally! I am a huge Creative Grids person but Quilter’s Select, omg I absolutely love these rulers. They are less fussy than CG. Love , love, love trhny
THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH FOR THIS REVIEW. I have been looking at the Creative Grids rulers online. I was in a sewing machine store yesterday who sold Quilters Select. I bought the Quilters Select and then got home and had "Buyers Remorse" because I thought I should have bought the Creative Grids. But, I've never seen or used the Creative Grids ruler. THEN, I WENT SEARCHING AND FOUND YOUR VIDEO! I was going to return it. I cannot thank you enough for your review. AND, I subscribed to your channel..
Creative Grid is a good choice.... I needed a ruler with different measurements on it and they're definitely have a wide variety of rulers. Their grips are perfect for me. 🙂
@@MACoutureCraftingI 'll check out Quilters Select, I have a friend who's looking for a new ruler with that kind of grip on it. I'll make sure to let her know about Quilters Select. Thanks for the info...
@@myreewilliams8238 oooh we yes let her know and you should try one too. They are my number 1 but creative grids still has a special place in my quilting life too. Thanks again.
I am glad that you love the quilter's select rulers. I am in the other camp. I dislike them very much. I am such a perfectionist that when I'm cutting I need to just nudge my ruler a thread or two in order to line it up. I have to pick it up in order to move it over those couple threads. They do exactly what they say they will do but I actually don't want them to do that.
Love your comments! Also your craft room and the gorgeous quilt behind you! And: 18 quilts in two years? It takes me about 2 years to make a quilt, lol! Anyway, thanks for your review. I LOVE Quilter's Select!!!
12.5 square was my first Quilter's Select and I fell in love with it too!!!! I use Creative Grids too, but with arthritic hands I still find they slip or move slightly sometimes so I add some sandpaper grips. I think maybe if Quilter's Select increases in popularity they might add different sizes. It looks like they started with the most common to get their product out there. I, too, am a BIG fan of them. However, they do run a little expensive and rarely go on sale. I still keep my eye out for them though.
Yeah, I get confused with the numbering layout of CG and i have a quite a few of their special shape rulers. But being left handed and right brained, I get confuse easily, how did Leonard Di Vinci do it? I've found myself like you staring at the ruler, but I'm wondering which side I last used to cut my fabric. I know they've put out a few left handed rulers, but I'm willing to give QS a try.
I agree 1000% I have been quilting 15? 16? years. Started out with the generic rulers. Upgraded to Creative Grids. Then I won a Quilters Select, 12x8. Game changer. I can't justify getting rid of the Creative Grids and replacing them but I will be getting more QS in the future.
You totally get it. I still use my creative grids but I use their specialty rulers. If Quilter's Select comes out with funky rulers that would make me so happy.
Thank You for this review. I will buy my first Quilters Select and give it a try.
You will not be disappointed
You just sold me. Creative grids have been my go to for angles but they do slip. Going to quilter's select.
You will not be disappointed
Buy super grip spray from Amazon and any of your favorite rulers are magically transformed into non slip.
I'll check in out.
Didn't know there was such a thing as. I will check it out. Never saw it at Joanne's
Exact same thing happened to me. Saving so much time with QS.
They are definitely my jam

Yes they are! I still have some favs from CG but I'm obsessed with QS.

@@MACoutureCrafting Maybe I will, I need a 4 x18 Ruler...
@@myreewilliams8238 oooh that's a good choice. I think I was needing for that size this week. I really do love them. Let me know if you try it.

I love this comment so much. You know what your needs as a quilter are. This makes perfect sense to me. Thank you for sharing
Love the quilt behind you! beautiful colors.
Thank you it is one of my favs. Its by shabby fabrics.

No problem I'm so glad you think so.
Just what I needed to hear
I'm so glad you liked the video and left a comment.
Both are great but, Creative Grids are made in the USA, that's a plus for me.

QS is my jam and I find myself reaching for those more than any other ruler.
Just what I was looking for! Fabulous explanation of both rulers! Thank you! Thank you!
You just made this video worth me making it. Thanks for leaving a comment

Since you have a lot of the rulers, what sizes do you use? 99% of the time I use 9.5x9.5 or 12x12... (I've used up cutting mats, I cut that much.)
I'm due for a new cutting mat too. My 8x24 my 2 1/2 18 and my 4.5x4.5 are my favs
