Need to have some deep woods off with you in your backpack when your going to fish till dusk. Those pesky mosquitos 🦟 will terrorize you if their isn’t a slight breeze to swoosh them away. Always enjoy the content you put out brother
Awesome video…I started super gluing me plastic baits too my jig heads before fishing I believe I caught more fish this year because of the prep …it takes a little time but might help you out …I thank Richard gene the fishing machine wooooooooo 🎣
Be later tonight before I can watch this one, thanks again Samong for sharing your adventures, friends, family and Faith for us all to enjoy and learn from. God bless the Whole Yang family. 🎣🐟🎥💪🏽🏆👍🙏🏻
If this is a spot you like to frequent; catch a bunch of those bluegill and throw in the little pond- they'll put a pretty good dent in the mosquito population!
Hey samong, if the fish swallowed the hook to the back of their throat, u can unhook the hook by going through the gills. Just be sure to becareful that you don't damage their gills in the process. They'll survive perfectly fine if done correctly.
You have the prettiest land you fish in. Where my parents live by the Wisconsin River the skeeters are bad but once you get out of the woods and onto the gravel bar they are nowhere to be seen. We actually drive down there just to avoid the bugs.
After quick google search, tench are in my neighborhood - Lake Ontario/St Lawrence River. They are an invasive species, a fish that is edible but does carry parasites. It is a bottom feeder and eats fish eggs and competes with fish like Yellow perch (a more desired table fare fish) so not good in my book.
Always happy to see a new Samong Outdoors video posted. Sorry the mosquitos were so bad, the like to bite me too. For some reason. Great video! Keep up the good work.👍🏼
As always I appreciate you taking us along your fishing adventures, Always a good time and Always something learned. Sam I use a little bit of eucalyptus and lemon oil for combating mosquito's and it works, try it. Looking forward to the next one. 😍🎣🌟👍
You missed out. Tench are highly sought after in Europe for food and similar in texture and flavor to perch. It's invasive- you gotta keep it or dispatch it. Next time.
Tench are delicious but very bony. Worth experimenting with for sure. The meat has a blue tinge often. Oily like bluefish. They're invasive from Europe.
I saw a guy Catch a tench in the Columbia a few months ago and I thought it was a cross between a smallmouth and a sucker. Looking it up now it looks like they are invasive to the Columbia river.
8.35 sec there a bigger fish swimming on the left side. It's black. You can clearly see it swimming. Hopefully someone else have good eyes to see that too.
brother samong, make one of those hook releases i sent you.. i used those style hook tools and it’ll unhook any hook that’s swallowed deep in its throat.
Samong try a ned head ewg wire hook Texas style,. And use a razor to make a small slit were the hook travels through the plastic for better penitration. Less snags👍. Love the channel bud keep up the awesome content
Samong, do you think (for the less obvious places) you could share the approximate locations of these 'spots'? Oh, and if using chemicals are not appealing to repel mosquitoes, use apple cider vinegar in a spray bottle and 1 tablespoon down the gullet.
Dude I definitely know what you mean about the mosquitoes 🦟 ! This year some to be worse for them. I was kayak fishing last month at the end when I was loading up to go home. There was a huge swarm and they got me bad! I had over 200 bites on my two legs and arms 😩!
@@SamongOutdoors If you look along the bank on the left side of the screen, right above the dead tree. You have to watch while playing from about 37 second mark and you’ll see the shadow move in the water to a dark spot along the shallows. Pausing it makes it hard to see.

Generally like your content but had to watch this one with mute on all you did was complain about mosquitoes. Get the thermacel or bring some bug spray it’s bug season.
You just never know what you’re going to pull out of the river…… that’s why fishing is do great!
ThermaCELL son ... No more mosquitoes... Nothing like a fishing adventure free of flying bugs.

If you have needle nose pliers, go from the gill, grab the hook shank, turn the hook to unhook.

Good stuff brother. You can add a drop or two of superglue to the ned rig. It'll keep the from pull when smaller fish bite.

Caught plenty of these back in the late 90s in Sprage Lake when it was still a good fishery.
try avon skin so soft oil, non-toxic mosquito repellent.
I've never heard of that before. I will look into that!

Trench are absolutely delicious fried up. Descale them, keep the skin on. Fatty, and good.

Cool fish, red eye was neat. Looks definitely like a carp. Never heard of this fish, am on the east coast, must be a west coast thang.
Tench are part of the Carp family.
Per the description..
They are able to survive in low oxygen levels.

Been enjoying your content Samong...Washington is like a dream to go fishing. I want to return to see this state again.
May be joining you soon.
It’s good for trout salmon and sturgeon, pretty beat for everything else

That's a cool looking fish, never seen one before
Love to see another ned enthusiast. Just flat out catches them some days🤘🏽
Yes, yes, yes!! Keep them videos coming!

Yeah, they are classified as an invasive species so I know what to do next time.
Beautiful aerial shots!
Dude, I keep telling you, get yourself a thermacel for the mosquitos! Both hunting and fishing and it doesn’t interfere with either.
I know. I have one and I just never bring it. 🤦♀
Lets goo new video!! Thnx Samong!
💪💪💪

Man, you guys have sharp eyes!
At 15 min u made a rookie move by picking up da pole like dat wen da fish ate lol
Thanks for the vid
A little bitty bottle of Off mosquito spray can bring such happiness and pleasure that one should not go fishing with out it.
I need to stop being a noob and actually start carrying my anti-bug stuff. 😔

I been wanting to catch some tench, supposedly good eating
Can't wait for the hunting videos
I've been out and filming, but I will release together more as a series to keep them in order!
Mosquitoes 🦟 are horrible this year.
Awesome, we've got a bunch of Tench over in a lake I grew up by, fun to catch
I think a Tench catch and cook is next on the list lol.
@@SamongOutdoors I'll do it with you lol

awesome video as always.

Do you have a Thermacell? They’re money up here in Alaska for keeping mosquitoes away!
Good stuff!!!
Always love the huntin and fishin videos man. If you ever want to get on a sick waterfowl hunt in WA let me know and we can make it happen!
Appreciate it brother!
New video! Been waiting :)
Appreciate the patience! Back on the grind now!
Need to invest into a thermocel or some Avon skin so soft oil to repel mosquitoes
I actually have a thermacell but I just don't bring it like the not smart person I am.
I'm buying you bug spray for Christmas 🎄 🤣
Bugs can't bite your legs if they are in the water
You should come West and stack some salmon. I can put you on some King's.
Come to Alaska hit me up
Awesome video !
Where is this at?
I bring a Therma Cell
The regs list them as an aquatic invasive species. You might want to report it.
I think they've already been reported in this area but I will do so again.
Thermacell is your friend during this time of the year
Yeah, I need to take my friend out with me and not leave it at home next time. 🤦♂
What location?
Anyone else notice the fish in the drone shot at about the 40 second mark? Keep an eye on the bank…
I don't see but you sure have eagle eyes.

LOL. Sorry, I tried my best to stop talking about them but they were so bad. I need to stop being lazy and actually bring my anti-big stuff next time.
Agreed
