Totally agree. Other thing to say is that Nicko, and sometimes Bruce, are struggling now to play some songs. They will probably drop songs like 7th son, Rime, Aces High, moinchild for that reason…
Recent tours have only been 15-16 songs because of the length of the songs they’ve played. Back then (1980-92) they didn’t have a dozen songs over 10 minutes long, and the shorter songs are 4-5 minutes compared to 7-8 minutes they do now. It won’t be a shorter show in terms of time (they usually play about 1hr 50mins), so there will be more songs on the set list to fill that time. Also, they won’t care about the popularity of Dune… remember they wanted to title the song Dune, but the author of the book wanted no association with “that type of music”… if they played it, it would be in spite of Dune. (Just to say I can be just as petty as that guy, I refuse to watch those movies because he’s an asshat 😂)
@@CoffeeMatt10 Fair point. Maybe they will throw in another song or two to get to 17-18 songs. Even going back 25 years to the Ed Hunter Tour (which covered this same time period plus X Factor and Virtual XI) they only played 17 songs. That didn't really have many long songs in that setlist except maybe The Clansman which is 9 mins.
"Songs that are rarely played, but not deep cuts: (choose 3) Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter Die With Your Boots On Murders in the Rue Morgue 22 Acacia Ave" Funny. Except Murders. They played all these songs on Give Me 'Ed till I'm Dead Tour. But Murders were played the year before on the Early Years Tour. Unless Maiden choose to play really really deep cuts, I'm 100% certain they won't blow my mind next year. It will be the same "boring" stuff.
@@rabarebra depends on where they were playing. For the US leg of the Give Me Ed Till I’m Dead Tour they actually cut 22 Acacia Ave, Bring Your Daughter, Heaven Can Wait, and Brave New World from the set list. So I actually would like seeing BYDTTS and 22 Acacia Ave this time, but yeah I’m not expecting any BIG surprises from this era. But LOTB and Future Past Tours did have some nice surprises so I’ll remain hopeful. I’m pretty confident that 80-90% of their setlist comes from the songs I listed though. Edit: I won’t say any of it is “boring” per se, I just don’t think they are that adventurous in their song selections and 75% of any setlist is predictable. I’ve seen them at least once on every tour since Ed Hunter (except Dance of Death Tour), so I just know what to expect. Playing the early years albums is indeed the most logical choice for a 50th anniversary tour, but I can't stop thinking a 2000-10's/post-reunion albums dedicated tour would have been quite a bold move (plus we've barely heard anything from The Final Frontier and The Book Of Death since 2017 to my knowledge). But I don't want to sound like I'm complaining! I'm very excited they come back where I live (Paris) and this gives me clear ideas of the bands I will see next year. :D Thank you for your video!

My immediate thought when I saw the promo was that Eddie bears more than a passing resemblance to Paul. Glad to see someone else noticed. How awesome would it be if Paul were able to share the stage with them somewhere along the way and do one of those songs. Even better, though, would be an American leg of this tour.
I believe that in the legacy of the beast game there was one eddie which kinda looks like the one from the portrait, something like "prophet eddie" I think [been years since I played it] but it was magic based
I find it very suspicious how it's the first 9 albums... There are 17 albums currently... What if they release a new one after this tour and do a part 2 with the other 9 albums
If you look at the tour picture, above Eddies right eye there’s a bullet hole in his head in exactly the same place as it is on the Aces High artwork. 💯% they’ll play aces high. I think the clues are there for the majority of the set list and I for one cannot wait for this tour. MAIDEN👏👏👏MAIDEN👏👏👏MAIDEN👏👏👏…
Since they won't play any 10+ minutes songs from 2000 onwards, I hope they will play more songs than the regular 15-16. Especially if they play some shorter songs from the early days. I'm hoping for a 2 hours show, with at least 20 songs. As setlist wise, I'm hoping for Rime of the Ancient Mariner, Children of the Damned, Where Eagles Dare, Die With Your Boots On, Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner, Infinite Dreams, Moonchild, The Evil That Man Do, No Prayer for the Dying, and stuff like this. of course not every one of them, just some. And I hope they will keep Wasted Years, or Alexenader the Great.
I haven't seen the future past tour yet ( will see it end of October first in Toronto then 4 days later in Montreal) and you're already talking about the next tour lololol 😂
I went straight to the track listing of the 9 albums and scribbled down 22 tracks,16 of which should be on the next setlist..only in my opinion. Many others will choose their own

My immediate thought when I saw the promo was that Eddie bears more than a passing resemblance to Paul. Glad to see someone else noticed. How awesome would it be if Paul were able to share the stage with them somewhere along the way and do one of those songs. Even better, though, would be an American leg of this tour.
I believe that in the legacy of the beast game there was one eddie which kinda looks like the one from the portrait, something like "prophet eddie" I think [been years since I played it] but it was magic based
Iron Maiden will get you. Peace ✌️ 😎.
And they are coming back to Portugal! I'm going even if hell freezes over!
I find it very suspicious how it's the first 9 albums... There are 17 albums currently... What if they release a new one after this tour and do a part 2 with the other 9 albums
I really hope we will get to hear Killers, Mariner, Infinite Dreams and Bring Your Daughter again
Two tickets to the London 2025 date secured, woooohoooo!!! ❤❤
I'll be absolutely stoked if they play anything off Killers. The first IM album I bought back in 1987 :)
Outdoor in June in Ireland, yep it'll be raining :)
I'll be there! ❤ me Maiden!
In Helsinki next summer 😁two days in my birthday
Suppose I better get my passport...never want to miss this one 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
They're gonna be in Helsinki in June. I have to go!
Eddie in Avengers: Secret Wars.
Seventh Son was my last show for the Irons. If they come to Canada, I am going to be there. Likely the last show I will get to see.
Many others will choose their own
I’m so happy for this announcement! Up the iron
