Brad, as an Eagles fan who put down a lot of money last year to go to the Super Bowl only to watch my team blow a 10-point lead to Patrick Mahomes, I feel your pain more than most.
Brad, I respect how real you are. I have been playing at Graton and Hollywood Park for the last couple of years. I love how you show your wins and your losses. I feel most poker players are not honest like you. You can tell you are a kind-hearted person and I truly respect what you have built for yourself and have done for the game. Good luck out there and it's been nice learning from you.
Ive been following your videos from day 1. Watching you go from a beginner to playing in Bobby’s room has been awesome. One my all time favorite vlogs, I remember a few years ago when you just started doing this and I was probably your 50th follower, and your narrative humor was so funny, that knew you were going to go places, and look at you now!
I haven't watched a vlog in a while but I'm proud / impressed by your growth Brad. Great to share this journey with you vicariously Brad. You are the God of the Poker Vlog! Super friendly. You give poker a good name. I wish they were all like you :-)
There's always a lot of discussion about running it once or twice and it just as easily could've ran out with the T on the first river and the 2 on the second one. It's always a lot more fun for the vlog if people show their cards first so everyone can sweat together like in the second all in and call, but this is a big game and I understand people not wanting to show unless they have to if they think it'll help them preserve an edge or something I guess.
Brad, as a Bengals fan, I wish I wasn't old enough to remember the 9ers beating us twice in the Super Bowl. You'll see them win, and soon. As for the Running with the Bulls, do it, do it, do it! It's not as dangerous as it seems, and it will leave with enough stories for a lifetime. Good luck and thanks for all the videos!

Great video as always, but I think allowing the villain to choose to run it twice after you show your cards is a mistake. I get why you allow to run it twice to reduce variance but if you were as confident as you seemed about your hidden two pair, I personally think you reduced your own EV

Random comment of the day: Saw you at the Bellagio once when I went to Vegas . I was playing 1/2 or or 1/3 can’t remember. Turned around to look at my friend who was at another table and saw you playing . Wanted to get up and say hi to you but I didn’t want to interrupt you while you were playing at any point . At least I got to see you from a distance so that was cool
I used to watch Johnny Bax play on the pokerstars high stakes table almost nightly back in the day. had no idea who the dude was but knew he was a table dominator, oh the memories.
I watched a good portion of this while giving my two month old daughter a bottle and watching my two and a half year old son tear around the house in his little car. Congrats on the baby, there's no better feeling in the world!
Been watching you play for a couple of years now, and I think your game is getting better all the time. Sitting at home with covid at the moment, and really enjoyed this episode.
Big hugs re: 9ers. Im a lifelong SF fan from Australia. I take the day off for the Superbowl (its monday here) and this year was a tough one. 2024 run it back! Brock, Deebo, Kittle, Warner, Aiyuk (maybe?) Trent, Bosa, JUICE et al, BANG BANG!!!!! Keep up the great content.
As a Lions fan, I don't understand what losing in a Super Bowl feels like, but I do know what losing a big lead in a playoff game feels like. Seems like you're taking it in stride. Love the channel. Keep up the good work!
Congrats on the baby Brad! We are welcoming our first here in April. Just wanted to pop in and congratulate you. Have been such a huge fan of your vlogs. I want to start playing poker but I’m way too intimated lol.
With the pocket Q's hand, why over bet the flop when you know how vulnerable your hand is? Why not just bet 1/3 pot and see the turn cheaply. Everyone floats and these days, noone folds out flush draws on the flop and an overbet only induces a jam. You're going for a fold but 1/3 bet will get all garbage to fold while only better hands, or drawing hands call or jam your overbet. Betting heavily to fold out draws or "make the pay for a card" is old school strategy and much less effective than in the past. Only caveat for overbetting is AFTER the turn when your ODDs are much, much improved against most all draws and your opponent is much more likely to fold a drawing hand with just one card to go.
I do enjoy when you include the more common hands. When I started watching I thought, "How is every hand so interesting?". As someone who wants to eventually play more, seeing some common hands, early folds and such, really helps.
Thanks man. I'm glad to hear that. Sometimes it's just too much effort to go through certain common/boring situations writing the script, recording the voiceover, editing it all together, adding in graphics, choosing music and adding that, etc. I still think it's important for viewers to see that stuff occasionally, but showing a a bet and a fold on the flop might take me an extra hour of work and it won't be that interesting/helpful to a lot of people. In this episode each pot is so big, which at least makes it a lot more palatable. Anyway, I appreciate the comment.
I bet. I did some editing of my own videos back in the day with Sony Vegas Pro. It's a lot of work! I don't know how you guys do it. Keep it up brother. Thoroughly enjoying the content.@@BradOwenPoker

I have to be honest... the running it more than once thing is something i do not care for. I wish casinos would nip that crap in the bud and just make it a rule that there's only one runout. I realize that running it twice saves people from big losses sometimes but it's so common in my experience that running it twice ends up in a chop that it kind of ruins the game play for me. If I played my hand right I want the big win or to get sucked out on. Chopping just feels so anticlimactic. I'm sure there are some math wizards that will say running it twice is better for mitigating the swings but I just don't like it.
I'm a HUGE Rams fan and have hated the Niners since I was a little kid. I still didn't like to see you let down at the Super Bowl. The Niners are still a great team and should have plenty more opportunities coming up. Congrats on checking off your bucket list of going to a Super Bowl. An even bigger congrats on having a baby, I wish you and your new family all the best.
I recon 4 and 6 can happen in the same trip... although it would have to be in July (07/07 is when the bulls thing takes place), and July is probably scorching hot in Egypt... Some of those items are in my list too ;) On the poker side... I'm not a player, but if I keep watching you, I might give it a go one of these days! PS: Love the little remarks in all your episodes. Keep it up!
@bradowenpoker question for you - at these nosebleed stakes, what’s the tipping like, per win? Do you have a stack of quarters designated for dealer tips off to the side? Or something different?
Interesting to run that first hand twice. I know hindsight is 20/20 but still just feels wrong wonder what the math says.Glad you got it back later. Loved this so much. Hope you enjoyed the game even though the 49ers lost. Going to a SB is #1 bucket list item for me.

The set of 22s was a definite fold you put your opponent on a flush draw but still called. Go with your read. With the ak I would have bet over the pot on flop you said the guy was a really tight player. The thing is with tight players with an ace on board they will only bet if they take the lead by hitting a set. So if you put them on kings queens jacks you have to bet. Checking is fatal as it just lets them see another card.
I remember going to the Tampa Bay - Oakland super bowl and sitting next to a bunch of guys who paid thousands to see their Raiders play. It was a sad day in Mudville for those guys but they took it well. But I still felt for them.
I was working at the comedy store Hollywood when Tommy, Bobby and Burt were all getting established as paid regulars - you’re lucky as hell to get them all in the same night doing sets 😅

Brad Owen got me into poker and i got all my friends into poker, I used to watch Brads videos when I didn’t even understand how the game really worked, nowadays me and my buddy’s buy in for 20-50$ on a weekly basis😂 shoutout brad man, can’t wait till he gets a nice wsop bracelet
So amazing getting to knock something off the bucket list. That’s a bigger win than any cash game session. Ushers performance was great as well. Sorry your team lost, but I’m sure it was still a blast.
Also 8.5 months pregnant at time of the SB means you’re like a week away from knocking off the biggest check mark you can on a bucket list. Becoming a father.
February 2024 best month of your life!!
That's cool. Next time feel free to say hi, even if I'm playing at the table.
I used to watch Johnny Bax play on the pokerstars high stakes table almost nightly back in the day. had no idea who the dude was but knew he was a table dominator, oh the memories.
Great video Brad! thanks for sharing all your thoughts, memories and what you live. Best greetings from Belgium!
I watched a good portion of this while giving my two month old daughter a bottle and watching my two and a half year old son tear around the house in his little car. Congrats on the baby, there's no better feeling in the world!
Serious question. Why do you let opponents choose how many times to run it when you think you’re ahead?
Nothing like Brad Dropping a video to make a holiday feel just a little more special 😎💯
I'm asking, so you have to be invited to play in the Legends room?
I’ve watched you for years and this is by far the best vlog you have made. Thanks man, keep grinding.
Thanks a lot Jeremy. That's my favorite thing to see in the comment section. Good luck to you man.
Been watching you play for a couple of years now, and I think your game is getting better all the time. I'm 60 years old, and love to play, but stick to the 2-5 game, and feel I'm average at best, but I feel I've learned from watching you play.
I like how he explains everything, my little brother understands poker now because of Brad’s videos
The only poker player/vlogger from who I genuinely feel the adrenaline of a big pot. Amazing $36K win. Loved the 2 rivers sweat.
Brad, you'll have stories, along with video, to share with your son and then your own times to directly share together. Enjoy life!
Brad, I love that parallel of your poker day with the Superbowl 🙂
Wow congratulations Brad! I remember subscribe to you with only 50k and now you're onto a million subscribers soon. Keep it up champ from down under australia! Congrats on winning that massive pot 👍
Loved this one! Really shows how much of a rollercoaster sessions can be 🔥
Just played my first live 1/3 game at harrahs in Cherokee bought in 150 3 times took over 900 profit altogether had a blast definitely plan on playing in the future I also got to play ultimate Texas hold ‘em with Hamid izadi the day after we hon a wsop ring and 245k and I’m now proud to call him my friend, amazing person
As a 1/3 player taking shots at 2/5, it's fun to be reminded that the challenges of moving up are a constant struggle.
Some of those items are in my list too ;)
On the poker side...
What a crazy vlog for you! Glad to see you enjoying life's experiences and not just the grind.
Love when you play the super high stakes games. Keep up the great work Brad.
Interesting to run that first hand twice. I know hindsight is 20/20 but still just feels wrong wonder what the math says.Glad you got it back later. Loved this so much. Hope you enjoyed the game even though the 49ers lost. Going to a SB is #1 bucket list item for me.
Brad!!! Congratulations my man! I didn’t know you were going to be a poker papa! Outstanding news! It sucked that our 9ers lost but I am glad you had a great time. The Greenlaw injury really hurt the D. 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Loved it !!! Super cool vlog. I'm always cheering for you. Awesome family time at the big game.
BRAD!!!!!!! FINALLY at exactly 15:00 in video now and you fucking did it. what a big balls move in that cash game, deep stacked cash games is where the sickos and real maneuvers necessary. love that hand. i know you lean tournament but you doing well in big cash is super sick. keep up your success, you're one of the few good guys in poker. all love from Romania in socal❤🎉
Love the personal content you add for us. You're inspiring me to finally put a bucket list in writing!
Gannon had a tough day as I recall
If I could like this video 100 times I would. By far my favourite TH-camr, and super pumped to hear he’ll have a son soon!
That Leonardo dicaprio joke was on point!!
Congrats on being a dad now Brad! It will be a blast :)
I literally slapped my knee and yelled "cop that" on the J5 v A4 hand. I don't know why I'm so invested in Brad winning... but I like it!!
Why run the 2/7 diamonds hands twice if you have 2 pair? Genuinely curious :)
I was working at the comedy store Hollywood when Tommy, Bobby and Burt were all getting established as paid regulars - you’re lucky as hell to get them all in the same night doing sets 😅
It’s great watching ur vids or what I like to call The Brad Owen’s Comedy vids!Whats better than learning about poker and getting some laughs? Condolences on the Super Bowl
Brad is such a likeable guy, gret role model for any poker player and more importantly, a great guy
Brad love your videos been following your journey for 3 years now keep rolling my man
