Before you take it out put the front chassis plate. strengthening the front is a defo 2 or 3 jumps and the chassis will bend or snap had to replace the chassis once and bought the plate aswell to help

Looks an awesome piece of kit that can’t wait to see you taking it out. Defo other 1/5 scales are heavier my fg marder is super duper heavy haha to the point where I don’t carry it often and drive it to where I want it to go

Just bought the Rovan Baja Stealth from RCmodelz - arrived today! Hoping to get out soon with it. - mines dated 25/12/22, so similar to yours 👍🏻

I’d strongly recommend a remote kill switch, just in case of a throttle stick issue. I also have a Q Baja. It’s loads of fun. Cheers.
Never really had a kill switch just check before usage

@@c14aff nah not really make sure battery fully charged never had issues and yes ik battery can be disconnected. Till it happens to me I be fine lol but best to put one on though lol. Have you had a runaway lol

yes you got a big scale nice one .,oh yes that flysky transmitter is good i use it for all my cars holds up to 10 models , recivers are verry cheap keep it for all your rc's

I’ve got that awesome buggy
Love the brand. I've got two Rovans and cannot fault them. I get told not so politely to go away from almost every location I go to due to the noise!
Look out for the throttle linkages on the servo end, they can pull on the throttle body and bend the pin on the engine. I use graphite powder to lube the joint at the throttle end so it doesn't pull and bend that pin.

I’ve looked into it and in my opinion they might bend if you have the end stops set wrong, I’ve set mine up properly and it doesn’t pull on the pins at all now. As they did originally.
@chris Basically, there are two metal blocks with holes in that the brake and throttle rods travel through. The angle of the blocks cause the rods to catch on the holes, causing the mechanism to pull, regardless of the end points being correct.
A guy at rc modelz suggested graphite powder over the rods at the block end to ease travel. The graphite stops the friction and doesn't attract dirt like grease does
