I have a few baja,, shorty included..I took the battery box out cut a oblong out of it and fitted an extended box in as you can on the shorty as no petrol tank to interfere..And i slid in a lipo 2s in makes the servos faster totally waterproof

I fancied getting one of those rovans but never did , I do like my Fg marders, I have three running another to put back together after a good overhaul and I bought a marder 4x4 to build that i bought a rovan 36cc engine for so that should be a nice car when i get it put together , you have to love this hobby there's always something to mess around with , it keeps you from the telly and that has to be a bloody good thing , I'm a disabled guy with spinal injuries so my mobility is not good this hobby keeps my mind busy working out problems , I used to be the guy you went to when your car would not start or needed work for an MOT welding extra so I was always busy but now I have downsized to RC cars trucks and crawlers and I love it , I love buying a non runner RC car and getting it running again , i just bought a traxxas 4 Tec 3.3 nitro that had been used once then left tens years luckily under a bed and not in a damp shed , i checked it over and the next day the engine started no bother at all the car is like new what a find i wish i could show you a picture of it , I really like your videos and I like your attitude to cars , your family and life , you have to do the best you can with what you have , keep the videos coming mate i love watching them and listening to what you have to say , stay safe mate , keith ...

@@HaggardRC looking forward to it , I'm going to see if I can get a T maxx 3.3 engine to start after many years sat doing nothing , if it looks like a good engine I will strip the truck and do a full on rebuild I have loads of T maxx parts so it should be easy lol like easy ever happens , stay safe mate 🇬🇧

That little swivel bracket holds the changing cord in place so that you can charge the battery by poking the charger lead through the cage without removing all the body shells 😮
Never had a Gasser. Got to say though they do interest me more and more. Open plan😂 very modern Haggard! Will be good to see you get it out in the future man!

Instead of buying an Outerwear filter for the pull start, a cheap alternative is wire mesh held on with hot glue on the inside of the pullstart covering the holes. I took all the plastic body bits off and put wire mesh in the pullstart, it works a treat.

there is a losi LST with A small 2 stroke petrol engine also uses battery for ignition
just like the savage petrol bud thats it ,and on some model airplane engines have a separate ignition with battery bud the bigger 2 stroke 23cc and up most of them use coils for spark
i prefer nitro engines there's something about them ,the sound they make ,the way there made ,the power it gives you compared to the cc's is amazing

I have a gas (what else !) FG Marder equipped with a « sock ». Very useful when running on freshly cut grass for example (imho) 😁😁

I tried tuning the carnage engine after putting to factory settings but engine just revved up and no matter what screw I turned engine stayed the same revs.... So I guessing the engine took a 💩 on me so I order new one and a two speed gear box and clutch bell.
I also order a dumbo rc controller and hopfully I no get a runaway. I don't have any problems with my mp9 or revo 3.3 but this ftx carnage nt is a real headache 😢.

It's probably revving high because it's not getting enough fuel, either an air leak or you're frustrated and not adjuting the needles properly dude.

Looking at a few Rovan/Rofun (Whatever the company is). I like building them but very hard to find kits that aren't super expensive. What's your thought on the brand overall? Love the humor. Thanks!
Seems like your usual Chinese brand but they have put some effort into it, for the price it’s not all bad… I haven’t had any of the problems people have mentioned yet.
I wouldn’t recommend one if you aren’t mechanically minded though.

Losi also made a .31 petrol Losi 8ight once, but unfortunately they were discontinued. I would really like to get one used but they are pretty rare. Also wanted to include a Link but that doesn’t work😢

You mean will I buy a 1/8th electric? Never say never but I sold the one I had which was a Savage Flux. Far too expensive and regretted it as soon as I bought it lol.
