Just wonderful, been searching for "how write book" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Yonallie Bookworm Blitzer - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my mate got cool success with it.
Your progress is cool. Inspiration and creativity is a big part of writing. But sucking it up and writing it anyway, is also vital. It took me getting up at 5am before my kids woke up, sitting next to a space heater in our unheated house, and writing whether I felt like it or not. So you are awesome!
How the hell am I going to be able to write a whole book in 50,000 words? Just one scene of dialogue and book searching between three characters was 8,000 words long...
Lol. Are you one of those people who overwrite? xD I couldn't ever hope to write that many in just two or three chapters. It takes me forever to get the words out onto the page. :P
I know I'm 5 years late on this comment, but I'll say this in case anyone needs to hear it now: NaNoWriMo doesn't require your novel to _only_ be 50,000 words, it's just the goal to get to 50,000 words in one month.
writing 3 novels at the moment. pretty darn small though :( first one done at 20,000+ words 140 pages not edited yet. second one half way at 13,000+ 85 pages hoping for 30,000 words. third one just recently started 5 chapters a few pages into it. just hoping that size wont matter but the story does. ill just see what happens :)
Kristina, I absolutely LOVE seeing how you feel along the way! Your ups and downs and all! It makes me feel so much better about maybe missing my target or writing frantically for a few hours, so thank you for firstly introducing me to NaNoWriMo and then inspiring me to keep on writing!
What a roller coaster! At first I didn't think you were going to make it, but then you caught up, but then you stopped writing, I thought all hope was lost until the end when you pulled though and finished! I actually fist pumped when you got to 50,000 hahaha!
It's really great to see the month long process laid out like this. To see the ups and downs of what you're feeling as you hit or miss word counts. Wonderful job. Congrats on all the writing!
Congratulations! I was really worried this year about not being able to complete NaNoWriMo as well, but I managed it a day early and I'm super proud of everyone who participates. Good job!
better bunnies' If you keep at it, then you will finish it in no time. l have been trying to get my book published for almost 5 years l believe. Just keep at it.
been writing one book for a few months only finished a few chapters and realized I didn't like it. .-. so I'm starting a new book which will be uploaded on my wattpad I'm hoping to write faster but I'm currently procrastinating on youtube
Congrats on finishing Kristina! I tried Nanowrimo for the first time this year after hearing so much about it in your videos, and I'm really glad I did. I only got to about 17,500 words (it was a pretty difficult month for a lot of reasons) but I plan to try again next year!
Congratulations! I've watched your videos for years and always wanted to do NaNoWriMo, but I "never had time" =P This year, I planned for it well in advance and won my first year! Thank you for inspiring me and many other people to do this awesome project, watching this video made me want to go through the whole crazy thing again!
It' sday 27 for me right now and MAN am I feeling those "plot isn't where it should be and why are characters" blues. The going back to look for something worthwhile idea actually did help, though. Thank you Past Kristina.
This is such a great video! THanks for uploading this, you're a fab youtuber and I've been watching for years :) congratulations on being awesome and finishing your novel! :)
Yay Kristina!! I had to quit like a week into it because I was just so gosh darn busy that I couldn't focus long enough to write. I worked most days of the week which didn't give me enough energy in a day to write. I'm bummed that I couldn' do it this year but I know it was the right thing to do. Maybe next year.
It'll be nice to have this video to come back to in the future for my own memories. I followed you pretty closely, on twitter, in your videos, and at Nanowrimo for your word count as I struggled to get my own word count to the finish line. Thanks for inspiring me to do it at all. It was a great experience. :)
This year was my first attempt (and later victory) at NaNoWriMo, so I understand what you went through. It's tough but to ally rewarding. Congrats on doing it 8 years in a row, that's bananas.
Wait at 6:14 is that A Series Of Unfortunate Events. THATS AWESOME also congratulations on finishing your novel I am also planning to be an author one day and seeing people’s books being finished brings me hope that one day my books will be on store shelves
Well done on finishing! This was an awesome look into the progress and it's nice to know that if you are determined enough, no matter what other life events are going on, it is possible to do it. I've wanted to try for a good few years now but always manage to have some plans which will make it "impossible" to get it all done, maybe next year then... :)
Congrats! I wish I could do NaNoWriMo, but I'm actually planning on doing the equivalent in July or August, when I can devote ALL my time to do it. I feel like November is already an insane month for me, but hopefully I'll do it next year :)
Congratulations, Kristina! I still haven't mustered up the courage to do NaNoWriMo even once, and that fact that you've done it EIGHT TIMES is just astounding! I'm so inspired =)
Well done, Kristina. I'm proud of you. Watching this video gives me inspiration to write my novel in 30 days. I registered at Nanowrimo and I'm ready for 2014!
BeyondSorrowYYY Moving along slowly :/ but I have made great progress since posting this comment. I made it to chapter 7 in my novel! 22,708 words! :) Thanks for asking!
I checked on your wordcount a couple times, and your and mine where so close all the time! I also ended with just a little over 50,000 words and it was just hectic this month. I really loved this video, the night of writing dangerously looked awesome. (You guys should read her blog about it, it's super awesome!)
I tried to make a video like this, this year because I loved your one from last year but I kept forgetting to film....so annoying! But I finished my forth NaNo in a row! I am only four years behind you Kristina! Haha thanks for introducing me to NaNo you are my inspiration! :)
Congratulations!! This was my 4th year, and the first year I didn't (really) win. I rebelled and wrote two novellas because I got so disillusioned with my novel. I did reach 50,000 though, so there's that.
Your videos haven't been showing up in my subscription box (/list?) and this makes me very sad. But congratulations on another win! This video so accurately reflects the ups and downs of NaNoWriMo, and I think I've finally gotten used to you saying "NaNoReMo"!
Well done Kristina! I'm tempted to do this next year now even though i'm no writer. Would just be interesting to see if i'm capable of this while doing uni work....
This video inspired me a year ago when I saw it! Didn't do NaNoWriMo, but overall just in my own writing, it portrayed a very realistic view of a writer's life!
Awesome! Well done, Kristina! I've been thinking of doing NaNoWriMo for years now but never did. This definitely inspired me, thanks! Can you make a video on the NaNoWriMo novels ( since you've done it right times ) you wrote?
Well done Kristina, You did great! Thank-you for being the inspiration that made me attempt NaNoWriMo this year - even though I didn't succeed it was still a lot of fun and I'm glad to have taken part. You're great & a huge inspiration! /)-(\ x
Hi kristina..watchin ur vid really inspired me on tryin to start to write one....keep up the good work & keep the videos commin..i really enjoy watchin em...thsnx again :)
I'm normally a silent viewer, but it saddens me to see such a drop in views and comments lately so I think I'm going to make the effort to comment on videos by some of my favourite creators! I honestly have no idea how you've done NaNoWriMo eight times. I've had plenty of ideas but cannot fathom how to even begin getting them down on paper. Congratulations!
@5:05 I know how you feel, i messed up my first novel like that, and i'm either going to edit hecticly or delete it and start over. at least my writing has improved. I've recently writen a very good chapter on a new book. and i'm trying out different ways to write.
I've done (and won) NaNoWriMo twice but I did not do it this year. This video has inspired me to really consider doing it next year...if you can do it with all that traveling I don't know if I can use my full time job as an excuse anymore...haha
This is so great! I have never done NaNo before but this is inspiring me to think about it for next year... -Sarah (Author, Blogger, Writing-Tutorial-Maker)
Congratulations, Kristina! I feel awfully bad because at about 28,000 words I lost my flash drive with my novel on it and I didn't save it anywhere else. Super bummed :(
Your day 27: That anxiety and cynicism you talk about, that's where I still am. It's so hard to produce something when you don't even know if you're going to keep it, if it's even going to have a home in my story in the end. That roadblock is so hard to pass.
Hey I also finished on the 29th of November (mainly because I had a Quidditch tournament the next day) However my novel is still not finished...Still have to do that.
My sister reached 50,000 on the eighteenth. She's getting faster every year.
Meanwhile, I write about a paragraph a year.... :\
CinnamonTrees how long has your sister been writing
Sounds like a good paragraph-
Your sisters imaginations MUST BE CRAAAAZYYY
Watching this while procrastinating on my book. I NEED TO WRITE BUT I CANT UGH
Congrats on finishing! I had forgotten I was making a brief appearance in this video.
Hhhaaha you were pivotal in this month's NaNo process!
Just wonderful, been searching for "how write book" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Yonallie Bookworm Blitzer - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my mate got cool success with it.

I can't quite believe you get this much written with trips and events like this. I'd never be able to finish. Congrats!
I know that feeling for day 26! Your big milestones words are always insignificant linking words that don't have a lot of value!
Aww, I really like this!
How the hell am I going to be able to write a whole book in 50,000 words? Just one scene of dialogue and book searching between three characters was 8,000 words long...

I wish I could see you compete again. I've been rewatching your videos for inspiration. I hope your book collection is going good.
writing 3 novels at the moment. pretty darn small though :(

Jared Lilley I like it. Seems interensting!
Ooo those are great achievements! What are your novels about if I may ask?
this is great and nostalgic to watch
This video is so inspirational, and I'm bookmarking it so I can re-watch it when I'm struggling to write in the future.
Thanks!! :)
I loved this video! This year was INTENSE for me. I wrote over 100,000 words. I'm STILL beat from it!
Kristina, I absolutely LOVE seeing how you feel along the way! Your ups and downs and all! It makes me feel so much better about maybe missing my target or writing frantically for a few hours, so thank you for firstly introducing me to NaNoWriMo and then inspiring me to keep on writing!
you are craaaazy! one year we'll try this.
I am so on board to be your coach! :)

It actually helped me pick my major!
This video is always super inspiring in that you have your highs and lows and manage to get it done every time. You go girl!
Thank you! I'm glad you guys like these videos!
Congratulations!
I was really worried this year about not being able to complete NaNoWriMo as well, but I managed it a day early and I'm super proud of everyone who participates. Good job!
This was actually amazing. You managed to inspire me to start my own vlog as I write my book haha. Thanks.

This was extremely encouraging! I have this planned for January and I am feeling more confident about it now! :)
Since I didn't want to put a current project on hold to do Nanowrimo I think I'm just going to do it in January.
It may be more than two years ago but I loved watching this! I'm doing NaNoWriMo in June and I'm also vlogging it, I'm excited!
You mean the Camp NaNoWriMo in July?
Congrats again Kristina! Eight years is very impressive. You'll have to do something super special for year ten.
That's what I was thinking. Maybe I'll get a tattoo, haha.
I rewatch all your Nano videos every year!
Congrats on finishing Kristina! I tried Nanowrimo for the first time this year after hearing so much about it in your videos, and I'm really glad I did. I only got to about 17,500 words (it was a pretty difficult month for a lot of reasons) but I plan to try again next year!

I love your process videos! They always make me miss NaNoWriMo
This totally makes up for your lack of updates throughout the month. Good work on finishing. :)
Glad to hear that. :D

I did NaNoWriMo YWP this year and finished yesterday with 30,000 words. I'm soooooo excited.
Ooooh, I want to do a video like this next year. This year I was traveling East Asia for most of NaNoWriMo, but I still did weekly updates!
Awesome, another year completed :)
Still awesome...
Much love!!

Congratulations, Kristina! I feel awfully bad because at about 28,000 words I lost my flash drive with my novel on it and I didn't save it anywhere else. Super bummed :(
Use Google Drive. It will save "automagically" as you type. And you can access it on any computer by logging into your Google account.
Your day 27: That anxiety and cynicism you talk about, that's where I still am. It's so hard to produce something when you don't even know if you're going to keep it, if it's even going to have a home in my story in the end. That roadblock is so hard to pass.
YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!!
Congrats, Kristina. This year was the first year I didn't finish NaNo (I blame university) D:
Congrats Kristina! :)
so inspiring, I love it!
I'd love to read one of your books!
Wooooop. Will you ever publish any of your novels? (please do)
Hey I also finished on the 29th of November (mainly because I had a Quidditch tournament the next day) However my novel is still not finished...Still have to do that.
