    Just for info, if u remove the battery terminals; it must be the negative terminal first to be removed & next the positive terminal. After securing the new battery, the positive terminal should be put back first & last the negative terminal. That’s the proper way of doing it. Many thanks 🤩👍

    Thanks for the vid. Was the same procedure for the 2014 Mitsubushi RVR. Very helpful.

    Nicely done. Just remember to remove the NEGATIVE terminal first, then the POSITIVE and lastly the battery securing clamp. This way you will prevent any accidental short circuit with the metal spanner and possibly injury to self or fire.

      What do you mean arc your terminals with metal tools. Aren't you using metal tools?

      @18 Hands My positive terminal has the red cable and red cover. Wonder why yours doesn't. Verify before connecting as damage and sparking will occur.

    Thank you for the video. I have to do this on my son's Lancer today. It's so annoying that they put the air intake thing right over the battery.

    Omg I'm dying right now I was looking for a video tutorial to replace my battery and was shocked to see not only do we both own a Mitsubishi outlander sport but have the same name and it is spelled exactly the same. I never met or saw anyone with the same spelling as mine. What a coincidence!

    Do you have an alternator replacement video for that same car?

  • @rahulvivekbhagwat
    @rahulvivekbhagwat 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey really nice video, my car is also making same sound and not starting and it is also indicating service required, what should I do

    • @RazorBucks
      @RazorBucks  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Service required could just be your maintenance notification, e.g. oil change, x # miles service, but it could be something bad too. Do you have access to a car battery charger or a jump start? If so, try that first. Otherwise, you will need to take the battery to an auto parts store and have them test the battery. If it tests good, ask if they will charge it for free and them try to start it again. If it starts, you should be good, if not you may have some repairs ahead of you. If the battery was bad, purchase a new battery and again you should good.

    Question: anyone get a "Charging System Needs Repair" light? I've been to 3 shops, all say alternator/pulleys/battery(new) are fine, but the last shop said either my battery sensor failed and/or I need to do some "battery monitor system calibration" which I have yet to find online?
    btw removal is a lot faster if you remove the air intake housing (leave the breather housing connected from the front-end) and just pull it out of the way, battery can be manipulated straight out without removing the trim also, done it twice.

    • @RazorBucks
      @RazorBucks  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you looked into an alternator voltage regulator?

    You will lost all data if you do not connect a 12V source first, I use a small 12V battery.

      The idle should not be affected for a quick battery replacement, but you are correct on the stereo presets. Thank you for commenting and have a great day.
