Dude seriously it’s uploads like these why you’re my favorite tech youtuber! PC gaming has been such an amazing opportunity to connect with my kid and I believe its importance can never be underestimated, keep up the good work homie!
The days of sitting to close to the TV (which is where this myth came from) are long gone with CRT tvs. They used to say it would ruin your eyesite sitting too close to old TVs but that wasn't true. I've had a couple of Optometrists confirm this over the years.
The first PC is such a cool gift, built up a cool system for my 9 year old daughter last year, and watching her learn the ropes has been great, you are a good uncle Paul, great vid
The nephews shrieking with joy that they could finally play their game was exactly the kind of good feels I needed at 5 am today. Thank you for this excellent video, and I wish those kids the happiest gaming ever.
Wow. Awesome to see a defect list and resolved all in one video. The look on Ian’s face when he got past the stoppage was absolutely priceless! Uncle Paul rules!
One of the most useful upgrades I've seen in a long time. You don't have to bring a 18900KFZX with 256GB DDR5-9000 RAM and a 7090 GZRTX. Good work! What a lovely family you have. I would come over and feel at home.
The kids reactions made me smile! Took me back to when i was a kid and couldn't complete games for whatever reason. For example when 1 out of the 5 floppy disks had gone 'bad'. Luckily trying multiple times to copy the bad disk to a new disk sometimes worked. Or faffing around in DOS trying to get the soundcard working. Stuff like that.
Paul, your family is wonderful!! As a Dad and an Uncle myself, the joy of rasing kids is so amazing and a privilege. Good health to you and yours Paul. Stay awesome.
My brother and i split screened so many games back in the day. Friends would come over and split screen 3-4players. So much fun. Plus you got to try out the consoles you might not have, but a friend did, because he brought it with him. New games, new consoles, lots of fun. Good times for sure
Family time is always special. Your nephews are going to continue to have problems with the controllers if they continue to plug the receivers into the back of the PC. That hunk of metal will act as a good shield. How about getting them a USB 3 hub that can sit on the table so they can plug the receivers into that?
I did that for my niece and nephew during the pandemic with left over/extra/bundled parts from my new build. They got a pretty sweet system out of it. Mark IX AMD Ryzen 7 5800X CPU GIGABYTE X570 I AORUS Pro Wi-Fi PowerColor Hellhound Spectral White AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT GPU G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 32GB DDR4 3600 CL16 RAM Inland Premium 1TB NVMe SSD Phanteks Evolv Shift XT Silver Mini-ITX case EVGA Supernova 750 GM 80 Plus Gold SFX PSU EK AIO Basic 240mm CPU Cooler EVGA Z12 RGB Gaming Keyboard EVGA X20 Wireless Gaming Mouse
I can relate to this... I'm not a youtuber but I'm quite a pc enthusiast (thanks in part to you paul and other tech content creators)... I can relate because I have a bunch of nephews and nieces who luckily get some of my pc parts hand-me-downs and as a bonus they have an uncle who's just a call away for some free pc troubleshooting needs... 😁
I just had my first real tech uncle moment with helping pick out my oldest nephews first gaming laptop. It can run WAY more but it is now effectively an overpowered, dedicated Bloons TD6 machine. 💪🐵💪🎯
It's always nice to have an uncle like Paul ^_^ In my family I'm the Tech uncle/cousin but since the boom of android/ios phones/tablets none of my relatives went PC gaming as it is expensive and not easy to maintain. My nephews/cousins can only play new AAA games when they visit me or when some of our relatives from Japan sends them old consoles!
Ahhh remember how exciting it was to finally get past a part you were stuck at in whatever random video game you were attached to as a kid? For me it was Paper Mario (64), could never figure out how to beat Huff n Puff so I'd just play the game up until then before giving up and restarting some time later. Finally found out about GameFAQS years later, and getting to see the rest of the game was crazy
October 8, 2023 - Paul's sister's family look like actors that Paul actually got from "Central casting for commercials and films". What a nice looking and pleasant family. Should we be suspicious as to whether that is ACTUALLY Paul's family? Nah... Paul would lie to us. Fun video.. glad Paul shared it with his fans and followers.👍👍😊
They've probably played up until that point of the crash 1,000 times and know everything in detail about the game. I felt that happiness in my soul as a gamer when they finally got past the gargoyle.
This video is so wholesome!!! I see some great gamer family bonds!!! Why on earth are there a 22 dislikes to this... it am going to chalk it as accidents!!!
The value of a tech knowledge-able, let alone a professional, solving seemingly mundane issues like this can be worth a kings ransom. I know this can be a pain but I'd love it if you and other bigger tech channels did stuff like... 2-3 times a year at least?
would be cool to setup the second system so they both have a system to use in case they don't wanna play the same game. The older system is probably still good for some things.
Recently built my grandson a new PC. He's still a bit too young to really understand what is involved but it doesn't matter when we get to play online together. Rock and Stone!
haha loooooove the reaction of the kids when they can FINALLY beat the game they couldn't beat because of freezing issues. I can attest as to how frustrating it is for an adult, so you can imagine with kids..good outcome for all!
Anyone else want to go back and watch the build video (again) first? My recommendation is go look for part 4 which has Paul with a white case on a background of purple and blue with lightning, then from there, you can view part 2, released April 7 2023 :)
Such a great video and honestly I love playing the exact game that they are playing. I just recently finished the Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga to 100% which was so much fun!
The actual real reaction and joy that those kids had when they passed the part in Lego Harry Potter where it always froze on them is just heart warming!
some of the parts are similar to mine. the kingston NVME and the Team TForce black RAM. edit : i think the monitor setup needs to add some distance to it. add more desk in front of the monitor desk. that is kinda too close viewing for a 32inch monitor.
I had a lot of dropped connections with my Xbox controllers as well. There’s an update you need to install on them from Microsoft. After I did that I haven’t had any drop outs.
I built PC's for my nephew and niece. Now I'm building for their kids. Nothing better than seeing their faces light up like you are a wizard and just turned lead in to gold lol.
You inspire us Paul. I'm in a privileged position where I can build my niece and nephew a kickass PC and I cannot wait until they're old enough to use one😭
I wouldn't know what to do with my old gaming stuff if I didn't have nephews and nieces 🤣 Better to give away well rounded few years old system than tear it apart or bother with ebay. Make happy somebody you know. Win-win. May be a friend of a friend, single mother or someone hit by financial issues in modern world. There's always someone you can make happy. Gamers for gamers.👍
Gotta love that instant moment of joy, when they got past the point where the game would freeze on the old pc. Good job, Paul!
there is NOTHING stronger than the bond between a gamer and his nephews
My uncle may disagree. lol
I love my nephews and can’t wait till they get bigger just to set up gaming pc for them haha.
@@r.l.strange1897 Bigger or taller ?
Facts! I've been building pc's for/with my nephew for 6+ years now!
@@IRefuseToUseThisStupidFeatureas an uncle, I agree with the op

Man, those nephews have no idea how lucky they are to have the Cool Tech Uncle
Tech support until they can do it themselves
My uncle is a video game developer and worked for companies like Sega when I was a kid.
the kids sitting close to the monitor feels just like old times when we sat infront of the good ol CRTV. good job Paul
But we were seeing prison bars between the pixels. Now they only see pixels.
The days of sitting to close to the TV (which is where this myth came from) are long gone with CRT tvs. They used to say it would ruin your eyesite sitting too close to old TVs but that wasn't true. I've had a couple of Optometrists confirm this over the years.
OP, love this comment! I completely remember those years in the mid 80's with an NES, or maybe, Commodore 64. I second that "Good job Paul!"
i love the bug list and the very concise explanation of repro steps to troubleshoot. You're raising some very responsible end-users
You are a good soul, Paul. The world needs more kind people like you. ❤
Spoiling nephews is truly the best part of being an uncle.
Must definitely.. You can spoil them and send them back home
The first PC is such a cool gift, built up a cool system for my 9 year old daughter last year, and watching her learn the ropes has been great, you are a good uncle Paul, great vid

The fact that his nephew made a troubleshooting list before Paul came there was awesome!!!
Wow. Awesome to see a defect list and resolved all in one video. The look on Ian’s face when he got past the stoppage was absolutely priceless! Uncle Paul rules!
the joy on their faces when it didnt crash was totally worth it haha awesome

This is the kind of awesome wholesome video I needed after a super rough week. Stay awesome Paul!
Thanks, Paul, for putting that big smile on your nephews!
Seeing how happy they are when they pass the glitch part is awesome.

I think that I know who those boys favorite uncle is!
Nice to see them so happy and excited the game got past the part that was freezing, so cute.
8:40 happy uncle moment. been there :)
Very cool you've given your last two builds to 'real world' people, keep up your awesome work and videos Paul

This is objectively an awesome video
You just built my mind range pc.I feel so justified with my build which I did with upgrading in mind.
When the awesomesauce goes to another level in flavour. This is just grand Paul 😉Way to go!
Love this, Paul. Those kids are lucky to have parents that care about them, and a stellar uncle with the cool tech! Keep up the brilliant work.
What a wholesome video! Family is everything, man.

There's nothing like family, and a working PC! great video and thanks for sharing a small part of your personal life Paul. Take care and God Bless.
This is the kind of wholesome content I've been missing in the PC community space.

haha loooooove the reaction of the kids when they can FINALLY beat the game they couldn't beat because of freezing issues. I can attest as to how frustrating it is for an adult, so you can imagine with kids..good outcome for all!
yes do a follow up
Maybe there should be an anti-sag bracket for the gpu? You're awesome for upgrading their system

The PC troubleshooting ticket was hilarious

Such a great video and honestly I love playing the exact game that they are playing. I just recently finished the Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga to 100% which was so much fun!

I love hearing these kids enthusiasm when the Harry Potter game works beyond their old crashing point. I can relate little dudes. Well done Paul 👏 🎉
It is a pure pleasure to click thumbs up on this kind of video you do. Thanks for making my day.
All the best
Very cool 😊, but next time, make them build it themselves? And explain what each component do?
A follow up would be very nice.
"wow!"
Super uncle to the rescue!! 🎉🎉😊
some of the parts are similar to mine. the kingston NVME and the Team TForce black RAM.

Uncle of the Year :P great job making happy memories.

Love seeing the kids getting so excited about the game not crashing, it's the little things
I built PC's for my nephew and niece. Now I'm building for their kids. Nothing better than seeing their faces light up like you are a wizard and just turned lead in to gold lol.
