    Common Problems
    1. Can’t create a deformer (error: please create an object with same parent deformer selected)
    Make sure your selected elements are of the same hierarchy! So you can’t select child layers/deformers and the parent deformer together. You can click the little ( v ) above the deformer window until it becomes ( ﹥ ) and it will collapse the deformers, so you can better tell what’s on the same hierarchy. See my post for more info: th-cam.com/users/postUgkx8fZ6rX4mblhgTsGUNLgCT6SUYNydsfWt?si=69KbNHw539LtqLVP

It might take a while till i actually make my model and rig everything because im a very inconsistent person that easily forgets about something im working on. I know a lot of people didn't enjoy the fact sometimes you were too quick or you skipped explaining some steps but in my case personally, ir made it less overwhelming because I trusted myself that I could wing it and kinda do my own thing according to what I think feels best. I did get lost once or twice so far but after rewinding a few times I got myself sorted. It probably helps that I had some experience with 3d blendshapes!

    I'm rigging a model i got commissioned and following your guide has been a tremendous help so far. The model's almost 1600 layers so I definitely felt a bit overwhelmed at first but it's been a couple of days and I'm at the back hair segment of the head X adjustments so I think I'm doing alright. Seriously, thank you so much for taking the time and effort to make these. Not only are they to the point, but your humor are great accents ; I literally said "trust the process!" at the same time you did while working on the XY XD
    It's been so much fun learning to your videos and figuring out how to troubleshoot my rigging, and even seeing how I can adjust/clean up my art for better rigging. Watching how you warp items with finesse really speaks to the art of Rigging because it's all the nuance that goes along way to how smooth the expressions come out.

    Thank you you are like the only beginner friendly tutorial out there - Took me some days to come to that point and by that i mean like two weeks and sometimes I can only get like one minute further by one time - A little bit slower would be easier to follow but by far such a blessing - I made with ai a picture that i "fell in love with" wich is very hyperreealistic and I want to seperate it and it will be hard to draw all the "hidden layers" and then rig it but I think with that tutorial I will really have a chance to achieve this within the next month and I will be so happy when I will have achieved this - So really big thanks for that tutorial - All the other live 2d tutorials don't make sense for me as a beginner since they start with the requireent of already have all the fundamentals - But yours even though I am watching it in 0.25 speed I genuinly am at a point where the software finally feels intuitiv even though it's so difficult for me to imagine the process and all the hidden layers interacting

    Note to self; if a parent warp deformer has a child warp deformer, move the child deformers before the parent to avoid messing up the animations
    For example; The Rotation deformer has warp deformers under it, on a secondary hierarchy. Some of the warp deformers will be parent ones. Move the child warp deformers of those parent ones above the Rotaion deformer FIRST, then move those parent deformers after so it can organize them correctly.
    When you move the deformers, check the physics and animation for each deformer movement to ensure nothing changes
    Or you can drag the warp child deformers just outside the original parent, assets abover those, not over Head Z, so that way you can select the CHILD ASSETS of HEAD Z, then put everything back in its place after making the face deformer

      Tyty! Yes so synthesizing corners will undo your 4 corner work, bc it’s basically takes your XY extremes and calculates the 4 corners accordingly, so it will overwrite your existing adjustments! I basically try my best to cover all the corner work with headXY, but if you do have adjustments needing to be done on other deformers, yes just reflect and ignore the pop off!

    wish you would have actually walked through everything rather than just posting a solution in the comments, tutorials great except for all the miss labeled parts, the reflecting, not showing what items your clicking on to be able to create the deformer, ect. Not a hater, but extremely frustrated because i feel at this point I need to restart my model and use a different tutorial because of all the back tracking. Why are we renaming deformers rather than naming them correctly in the first place. why are we using reverse language when you could have just labeled left as left rather than labeling it right and needing to correct to left. I get its mirrored but you could still name the parts correctly so we arnt playing a reversal game. Your models are beautiful but this isnt 100% a beginner friendly tutorial, ive had to go back and slow down everything multiple times just to see what layers your clicking onto to understand how your getting your deformers. also you explain everything except how deformer hierarchies work.

    • @MerelyWufeii
      @MerelyWufeii  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      This is a faster paced tutorial bc that is what keeps me attentive, and I def recommend slowing things down if you need it!
      I named my parts in a more intuitive way which is the reverse of what the program defaults to, and I didn’t change the program’s default naming bc I didn’t want more confusion plus its was too late to change. Only the eyes are reversed, so you’re good once you get past that🙏
      Renaming deformers is only bc it’s an easier practice to copy paste instead of creating a new one and having to resize+recenter.
      I do regret not explaining deformer hierarchy but I did post an infographic on it in my discord FAQ, otherwise a quick search on live2d hierarchy could help!
      Will consider making a FAQ video going more into fundamentals tho
