【 head angles xyz rig + easy aug physics 】live2d step by step guide

- sorry for the wait, here's the next rigging video tutorial!
today i go over the face angles for x, y, and z! as well as how to do some easier augmented physics :D i think it's the worst video so far but lol it's a littleeee more advanced with some techniques but i think they're good to learn! i go over how to edit the face to really get a good shape for angles as well as some fun stuff like hiding the face line. if you don't like the extra bounce physics feel free ot just rig directly on the default angel xyz and if you want to the other versions of adding aug/bounce physics... look for another tutorial lol
next video we will be going over hair physics! which i think is one of the best parts of rigging hehe and it'll be good reference for when we do clothing physics and other stuff like that. hopefully we can get everything rigged soon :0

oh gosh this video took so long i forgot to rig the hair shadows after the hair LOL please forgive me... and ignore all of my random editing mistakes it was a slog to get through!!
AND DON'T FORGET TO SAVE THROUGHOUT !!! (#`Д´)
Your save reminders help me so much I’m bad at remembering
These are great! Thank you!
Question, the thing ur using is only for laptop and computer, right?

just to let anyone whos confused know, if your physics aren't working properly, in the physics settings under Input settings - Normalization of input, you need to set the Minimum to -35 and Maximum to 35, also set Position X minimum to -25 and maximum to 25. Under output settings set the scale to 41.263. this will achieve the same effect as in the tutorial. its shown in the video but it isn't verbally mentioned so you may have missed it like i did
i hope this helps someone
also thankyou chupuko for another amazing tutorial, my model is coming along great thanks to you
this worked for me thanks bud
OMG THANK YOU I thought I was going crazy ToT
thanks a lot
I love you for this (platonically)
big preesh, i was so confused why my comm was just like.. peeking either direction rather than fully looking pfft
I'm just going to leave this here in case y'all need it. I'm at the physics part. I followed every step she made, but at the time to move the Angle X parameter (the default one), the red ball just wouldn't go all the way to the end. Look idk what I did, but I fixed it going to the Output Settings and raising up the number of Scale. And then it worked. Hope this helps you, have a nice day!
I had to do the same thing. I don't know what I did, but I thought at first it wasn't moving the aug phys x at ALL because it was so small of a movement; I had to turn the Scale up to 100 before it even moved the ball halfway to the correct size!
@@soxthegoblin guys thank you so much, i was almost screaming trying to solve this problem TwT
Been eagerly awaiting your videos! Thank you so much for making this process sound so much less daunting!^^
omg i’ve been watching all your vids and i’m so happy you uploaded your tutorials are so good 😭😭💕💕
Thank you so much for all your tutorials!! They have been such awesome and thorough guides 🙏🥺 Even when you get through these tuts, I'm excited to see whatever content you do next, your editing is really cute and fun! ✨️
just wanted to say while watching this - thank you so much! all of your tutorials are so easy to understand and cover a lot of knowledge. and the way you edit the video and add comments actually adds a lot to the learning experience :)
Your tutorials are incredible! I’ve been interested in learning live2d for a while, and how clear and concise your tutorials are is a lifesaver ❤
best tutorials i found so far (literally only ones i can understand without ever using this program). Thank you SO MUCH!!
i have only watched a few minutes but this is already so helpful 😭 you explained so many concepts i never understood in the program and i've been working in live2d for a while now! thank you for being so clear!
Thank you for all the tutorials! You make it really easy to understand and not complicated at all!
Your tutorial is amazing been looking at this constantly and this is soo underrated!!!!! I just want to say thank you
omg! this was posted at the perfect time. I had just finished rigging and asking for criticism from a professional rigger who told me to work on this, so i appreciate your video!
This is super helpful! I look forward to the next one-- I've rigged 2 models in my time and I'm rigging my third one as of this month, you've shown methods I had never even thought about and it's quite inspiring!!
your voice is so calming and your tutorials are so helpful! thank you so much!
Thank you so much for the videos. I watched so many tutorials and when I messed up, after watching your video, everything was fixed! I'm so grateful cuz it's the first time I ever rigged something!
this is my second time working through this series. My first model only took 7 days because of your help
i have yet to touch live2D but your tutorials are so well made that i get it!! i know that it will take some time before i can make my own model but for now, just seeing someone use the program and explain it so clearly - its making me feel more confident about giving it a shot
On my knees for this tutorial. You are my savior fr
thank you for all your help so far! I've gotten further with ym first model than i ever have before because of this, it's super appreciated! :D best of wishes!
im so glad it was helpful!!! good luck on your model as well ٩(•̤̀ᵕ•̤́๑)
Happy new year chu!! I Hope 2023 was good to till now ! Thank u sm for this video Aaaa
amazing video, helped me to solve a lot of my problems with the program!
I personally find using draw order easier for the ears, but masking is overall more helpful to know for like everything else in the model!
Thanks a lot for the video
YIPPEEEEE HEAD ANGLES TIME ! ! ! ! you are so cool thank you for continuing to make these :)
Waaaa i was scared you wouldn't upload more tutorials for a second ;;;;; i'm glad that isn't the case!
thank you for such an indepth tutorial !!!!
i had been especially struggling with the ears on my new model, and most tutorials for ears are with animal ears... i love your idea with the clipping mask ! thank you !!
All your tutorials have been the most helpful and clear tutorials I've watched! Plus the videos are always so calming, including your voice!! Congrats on 6K!! From your early supporter! :D
What they said 👍
ngl I am using most of your tutorials to rig my very first model and thanks to you it looks so much smoother and prettier thank you sm for your tutorials
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
also can you make a discord server? it would be a great help for me and people that's still confused how to rig^^
FINALLYYY!! love all ur videos so much god ily
Decided to rig a character in live2d just last week because I learned I could use it as a virtual camera in discord. Your tutorials are so soft and soothing! but also very professional clear and knowledgeable. The line hiding trick is great, I didn't know how some models were able to do that 3d model look but now I do! Thank you!!
i remember yesterday i was bawling my eyes out watching your tutorial since I accidently skipped a step on your body rigging tutorial. i ignored what meshes were, and now today I finally decided to use a mesh. YOU SAVED ME so much and I love how bouncy my head came out.
tip: when in physics, you can go to the output settings of any of your angles and change the scale to "100" that way its even more bouncy!
You helped so much!!! Most riggers don't do what you did with the ears, or what I wanted to do for that matter lol, so this video helps so much!
ive been watching along with your tutials to make my first model and so far ive been loving every second! thank you so so much. the only issue ive had thus far was getting the Z axis to work T_T it goes all nightmare fule when i try
thank you sm! i've been stuck on this part!
whew this one took me a couple days but finally all done!! does my model look good? no. have a learnt a new skill and know what to do better next time? heck yeah!! thank you so much!!!
i love your videos so much, thank you for being an excellent teacher!!
Such a good tutorial
these tutorials are so helpful ty.
These are so helpful, been trying to rig my first model and these are simple and precise!
Thank you for your tutorial, it really helps a lot!!
Very informative video, thank you! ❤️
I really love this one!!
LONG TIME NO SEE AAAAA❤❤❤❤
I missed u :))
Me encantan tus videos, muchas gracias por aportar videos de gran valor!!!
this video saved my life
this is super helpful!!! looks like i still have a lot to learn with live2d lmao
took me two days to go through xyz rig and physics, thanks so much!
Do you think art styles that are too abstract and simple is harder to rig cuz the hair pieces are so few they can't cover all the void area and inevitably looks flat? I am running into this problem. ..
Maybe, I made a lawyer with circle patch of color to cover top part of bald head, I stretch them to cover some places.
Then I have another extra hair bundle that only shows up when the head turns sideways.
And now I’m having problem with augmented physics tho it doesn’t bounceeee
Thanks a Billion! you're the first expert that deformed the neck to give it that natural effect, thx again for yor insightful guidance.
your videos are absolutely amazing and so easy to follow along, thank you for making them!!
Thank you so much!! It helped a lot!! ❤
you literally save my life
as someone who is somewhat following this tutorial, it's really no surprise how long it must take you to make these X.x this is hard!! thank you for making them tho
You're making the best tutorials out there, thank you so much ♥♥
I would be so absolutely honored if i could credit you for all the amazing work you've put in for these tutorials! I've learned so much, and following along has been much more welcoming and comfortable out of many other tutorials I've checked out! I think the pacing and everything you have done just have a lot of love put into it!
thx, I making my first rig with u and you're nice teacher!
love the tutorials! watched all of them as I rigged my own model. Your tutorials are super clear and concise, super beginner friendly! Gonna recommend them to my friend who wants to learn live2d, cause I don't think I can explain it well lol
Hiya! Just wanted to say.. I could never figure out how glue worked... Until you explained it to me like that. Thank you!
this really helped me with my model! just a quick thing to say i don’t have a face line😅
your lyrics saved me

Thank you for being here again and again with a tutorial, and even with such a relevant one for me.)
By the way, with the past holidays, wish happiness and health for u.)And inspiration.)
tysm for this guide ^^
Ayyy my model is now 40% complete! 😎
I wish I'd known about the Glue last week when I finished my model... I just selected the face line and skin together and moved both at the same time. Still worked, but glue would have been easier
the way i was listening to this so loud and i thought my phone went off when yours did lmaoo
Love the video but I'm encountering lots of errors :(( oh well, it happens with all of the other tutorials so I doubt there's anything wrong! I really love how easy this tutorial series is to follow and how we can copy you in real time. Lots of other tutorials just show a model that they have already rigged and it's hard to follow so thank you for making my experience with Live 2D easier!
OAO now on this step X"D
Thank you very much!!! I love youuu
Would it help to add a checker board pattern texture when making the turning deforms? That is what I was taught to do when uvw mapping in 3ds max back in college.
im having a lil problem with head physics at the end, when i put angle x in input and angle x physics in output in physics setting, the head stop moving, while draging left and right the head barely move and does nothing, i followed every step exactly as you did on the video but when its about to do the physics setting, it doesnt follow Q-Q
What if the model has markings or skin patterns that go on the chin and neck and whatnot? I assume it would be a matter of masking to the skin layer and having the markings separated based on bodypart for optimal warping, but I haven't played with Live2D enough to know for sure.
Unsure if anyone else had this issue, but mirroring the x angles for the color + line layer adjustments just wasn't working for me. The full warp deformer reflect worked, but the others kept coming up short! I guess something was wrong with the centering of my canvas, because when I chose reflect motion -> and instead chose to use my centered Neck Angle Rotation deformer as the center, it worked perfectly!
Your tutorials are great! thanks so much. can anyone awnser why Youd separate the line from the face? Is it so you can clip face elements to the skin underneath the line work?
i'm glad you like them !! you would separate the line from the face to have more control over the face layering/look, for example having the blush/shadows not affect how the line color looks. i also show why i use it at 35:50 !
you are a legend
You are the best
This video has been SO helpful but even though i followed step by step, when i use the ''Angle x'' slide nothing moves, did i miss something? i rewetched the video and can't find it :(
I have a problem. Im new to this, but I believe it's because I have warps on the eyes already. I can't set the eyes as a new warp because there are alr warps. any help would be appreciated. thanks
i don't know why, but when i do the eyes the small one got weird out and i try to find any tutorials to just explained it, and found yours from the discords, thanks so much
Hey, so the mouth chart included mouths for vowels + emotions, right? Did I miss eyebrow rigging or did she skip it? Like expressions with the eyebrows..
Hi hi
I have been having some problems. I fixed one which was the mouth not moving how it was supposed to. But now i have a new problem idk if its the software itself doing it or if i was supposed to do something. But when i go to physics and ”test out if everything works” the eyes pop out of yhe friggin wkull half of the time. And for no reason. I rigged them just like you showed but for some reason in the physics menu it doesn’t work how i hoped.
Someone give her a crown, she deserve it. You saved me a lot of time understanding all of thing and giving useful tips to rig my model in Live2D Cubism. I can't thank you enough and I'm sorry if my comments took your whole comment page. It was a habits of mine to write my opinion [Maybe Essay? 😂] about something😅
i think i missed something with the angle settings. I tried doing the X Y physics but they didn't work for me :( im wondering if i forgot to add something so they pair up correctly?
Warping the face into perspective is straight up sorcery.
Finally!
These videos are always so detailed. I swear Chupoku must be an angel imparting knowledge on us peasants. In fact they may even be a God themself! I will continue to preach and praise the almighty. I wish for nothing more, but more blessings in the form of these videos for they have truly enlightened me. I hope to be able to use these videos to break through the next stage and attain my own path. When I have established achievements of my own, I will not forget about Chupoku. Thank you for the blessing.
i love your tutorials but i wish we had the shortcut info like when you hid the mesh.... Im trying so hard to figure that out LOL
I saw so many videos on rigging and face-tracking I think I can do it myself…
i had to restart many times for the x y thing all because of z but so far from redoing all of that i learnt that CTRL+SHIFT+C and V is basically the additional 2nd best friend to the brush you never thought you had until now with the z axis, whenever there is a weird out of place spot on z axis, go to the normal one, copy with CTRL+SHIFT+C and then paste it with CTRL+SHIFT+V on the weird one, it will automatically place the exact spot on the rotation device where you want it, and you now dont have any problems with it, now you gotta do the same and it takes long, but atleast this will waste less when working on it, and once you get the hang of spamming alot of copy and pasting on every spot, you will have a successful moving head with no problems, just only do it on the z axis, and there you have a perfectly fine moving head that moves normally and does not look warped everytime you turn its head certain ways, and dont forget to have fun on it (or rage, it helps release the stress)
Thank you so much!!! ;-;
THIS was super helpfull but Unfortunately Im hard headed so I gotta do alot Stuff By hand 😢
Well.... success I think? My model looks extremely derpy when I'm at the furthest angles (hat especially looks messed up), but the bounciness makes it better.
Edit: Hat looks better now (still not great, but better)! I realised I needed to separate the front flap from the hat part and rig them separately.
this is great, the only issue im having is the fact that i can't apply rotation to the head because of the warp deformer
same
Please help! Every time I try to add the rotation warp to the head for z rotation, I get an error saying "Please create an object with the same parent deformer selected" and I have no idea what that means :(
heya!! question, my eyes move together when i try to rig them to the face angles (e.g i try to rig +1 x 0y, and both eyes shrink/morph to what I tell the eye on the edge of the face to do, instead of just the one). I'm using Cubism Editor 4.2, and so far the few changes between this video's ver and the most recent updates seemed to have not changed much.. is it the engine, or the way I've warped my eyes?
so i tried to grab the eyes and group them to xy warp but it wouldn't let me something about name or group issues or something. and you go over it so quickly I dont know WHAT i am doing wrong. putting them on there a different way screws up the iris movement and i dont know how to fix it. I started the pro trial to see if that would help and have the same issue. can you go over all the steps to put on the eyes one by one so i can see where i am going wrong with it?
i cant copy the meshes it for pro version ;((((((((((((((((((
Ty. My smooth brain gained a wrinkle.
i BEGGGG for a body tutorial please 😭 these are actually so easy for me to understand
ok, I had my partner try to help me understand and looking back on this video I understand now😅. I didn't know you coculd use parameters in the physiccs window that had no 'keyframes' set.
i don't really understand what part goes in the input parameters and what part goes in the physics parameters?
