I totally agree. And hearing the stories of the animators and toy designers had such great communication with one another and the love both teams had for each other, it just makes the toyline even nicer.
Animated! The peak of TF shows. We should've started a petition for the epilogue season yesterday. Prime was great but Animated was four-dimensional and innovative like nothing before. Had it all Cybertronian drama, love triangle, power games, human super villains, espionage, chemical warfare. Some of the toy line figures like Shockwave/Longarm, Jazz, Lockdown, Prowl can be used as substitutes in the Prime toyline that's how advanced and timeless they are. Compared to the Prime Shockwave who was an afterthought, the Animated Shockwave is the ultimate depiction of the character two-faced, calculating, merciless, ingenious and twisted.
I love both of those Shockwaves for very different reasons; I see Animated Shockwave as the ultimate loyal Shockwave, and Prime Shockwave as the ultimate indifferent Shockwave, the type of Shockwave that doesn’t care who he answers to as long as he can continue his work.
@ronbondujon9690 Yes Prime remained faithful to the G1 archetypes. Animated being unpredictable would have left us with our jaws on the floor with Shockwave and Sentinel Prime do a 180 for their own reasons giving us two different villain fronts. At least from the hints given by power hungry Shockwave and the embittered Sentinel Prime. Both had their eyes set on Ultra Magnus' abilities and position.
@@ronbondujon9690 possible, if the rumors about the final season bear any truth one of them strikes an alliance with the Quintessons. A welcome change to see other major players like Shockwave and Sentinel Prime compete for dominance.
5:28 the reason for the chainsaw and the missiles is because this figure was just made with the intention to be bulkhead while being controlled by the headmaster, which is why he has so many guns and weapons he never had before, meanwhile the voyager version was supposed to be the regular version people just liked this one more
Makes me wonder with the Legacy one already getting a redeco into Wasp if they will tackle this one at some point? For sure I would buy the Legacy one also in this colour scheme.
Oh my comments got deleted (or I didn't press the comment button when I thought I did.) That Ironhide is great his alt mode something you would expect to see in Ghost in the Shell. Bumblebee is gorgeous in that deco. That Arcee is lovely, I would for sure be on the FB parts groups looking to get her back to complete, nice save! Ratchet spectacular I would love to have one to stand beside his alt universe selves. I really really really need two Animated Blurr figures now, as a Grandparent myself where my grandson (most important person in my world) is on the waiting list for a speech therapist.... Your narration voice is what got me to immediately subscribe to your channel.
Best of luck getting a speech therapist! I know it can feel like an eternity to get off the waitlist and get started, but I can tell you from experience that a good pathologist will work like magic in time. I’ll also tell you, there will always be a bit of a disconnect for people with speech issues. Even all these years later, my enunciation and pace can take a nosedive out of nowhere. My grandparents were always patient with me and still understand that those issues will pop up from time to time, but I can’t tell you how much my parents and the people around me would embarrass me over my speaking. I’m not saying all this for woe is me, but just because I’ve been in your grandson’s shoes before. It’s amazing how much Blurr and characters like Popeye came to mean a great deal to me, entirely because I could relate to having issues speaking. I hope your grandson is able to great treatment soon and can start to find the strategies to reclaim their voice! And thank you so, so much for sharing that with me. Sometimes, it feels nice to be reminded that the work paid off, you know?
I like how Animated completely redid everything in the TF universe tho Optimus never really was the leader of _all_ Autobots so it kinda watered down the title of Prime meaning that he shouldn't really be "Optimus Prime" but _Orion Pax_ or Optronix or something like that then when he gets the Magnus hammer, he becomes *Optimus Magnus*
I will say as someone who is still a teen I with a clutter (the word for what we have of a speed based stutter) although for not seeing most blurr Including media I can see the kinship
I think the thing that meant the most was that Blurr wasn’t treated like a joke. I know they originally made Bee have a hard time understanding Blurr, but I always took that as Bee being so shocked that Blurr was an Autobot to process anything happening for a second. The fact that Blurr was a cool character that everyone had to respect and no one made a joke about how he spoke was what made me like him. I’m
When I was growing up i could not for the life of me say "ash" and "bench". I could only say "a$$" and "b!tch". I still screw up sometimes and i have to slow down sometimes to say words right. If I don't I'll say some word that wasn't even related or kinda related. Like I sometimes say wall donalds and mc walmart sometimes... Curse the human brain.
I feel your pain. I got banned from watching Pokemon for a little bit because I told my mom the character’s name was Ash, but she heard a very different word. Even still, I was able to slowly get a much better handle on my words.
Transformers animated was my childhood and I love lockdown and Soundwave and they’re still my favorites. I also love Lugnut but wished he was a leader sized figure instead of voyager
How do you get them. Is it from eBay? Or some other site. I’ve been trying to get myself some old figures but the comments for lots of figures look very botted
Your story about blurr made me teary-eyed. Only had the animated toys from mcdonalds growing up but one of my best friends 3d printed a wasp figure for me last year(?). Pretty sure it was last year. Hope you're having a good day
I unfortunatly didnt care for animated when I returned to it but I really do enjoy the character designs for standing out and such. I really hope we get some more figures based off them. Also kinda cool you bring up Oilslick as a Bounty Hunter character. His ram skull reminds me of Durge's speeder bike from the 2003 clone wars show. His figure with the speeder didnt have the skull sadly but their was this cool bounty hunter figure pack that had a blue speeder with a skull on it too vaugly designed like Durge's almost
@ronbondujon9690 Yep. 2 best distinguishing factors from the regular durge figure is the leg and arm articulation plus his wrist mounted blasters are molded on. Also he comes with the closed jetpack as opposed to the open one the regular had
@ I checked it, Oil Slick can kind of work with 3-3/4” inch guys, but they need to be able to swing their hips out. As for handles, I don’t want to test it because I’m worried it would damage the paint.

Leader bulkhead is a killer figure
Wish he was clean like the voyager, would replace that saw hand for the wrecking ball hand from the Voyager

Weird how Elite Guard Bee has both the colors and the Batman vibes of Prowl.
I like to think that it’s a character thing. Despite their bickering, Bumblebee sees Prowl as the best Autobot around.

Transformers animated was my childhood and I love lockdown and Soundwave and they’re still my favorites. I also love Lugnut but wished he was a leader sized figure instead of voyager
He’d be fine as a voyager, my issue is that most of his bulk went into a weapon and made him smaller than a lot of the Deluxes.
Sadly, the other toys from Animated I owned growing up were Deluxe Class Jazz & Sentinel Prime.
What’s sad about that! Those guys are amazing! Jazz especially is so cool to mess with!
