As we travel our country one thing is pretty consistent where ever we are. HARD WATER. Not only does it dry out your skin and hair, it leaves deposits and stains everything it touches. Not only your dishes, sinks, showers, clothes and toilets but your hot water tank and most importantly your ice and coffee makers! Softening the water BEFORE it gets into your RV will not only make your life easier, but it will extend the life of the components that help MAKE your life easy.
We also filter our water between the tap and the softener as well, this may help lower the total hardness before it gets to the softener, extending the softeners output of soft water in between regenerations (adding salt). The filter is also linked below.
