Our First Time Trying a Carinderia in The Philippines! | Local Eats in Siargao 🇵🇭

- Welcome back to another vlog in the Philippines. In today's video, we are taking you from Butuan up to Siargao to give our first impressions of Siargao and try a Carinderia for the first time in the Philippines.
We started out our journey in Butuan after spending some chill days there and eating a few meals, we headed over to Siargao. After a long day of traveling, we didn't decide to do much but eat at an Italian restaurant.
After a good night's sleep, we got some breakfast at a local sandwich place and headed to one of the most famous places in Siargao; Cloud 9. We checked out the surfing hotspot and summoned Poesidens trident as we braved the heat. We then decided to cool down a bit with a smoothie bowl and headed back to the hotel for a bit.
Next, we explored the city a bit and the local beach as we captured some epic views of the sunset before it was time to fill our bellies. We did this with a new experience as we decided to hit up a Carinderia for the first time. This is a Filipino eatery in which you choose food, buffet style, and get to pay after you eat. With local options such as chicken skewers and international such as pesto, there was definitely lots to choose from. Yes! Eight Miles from Home & Buhay ni Tal also Emy & Johan in the Philippines. Shame JayOrCruise is no longer there otherwise can have fun with him Water Park and learn to surf. Siargao is not only General Luna there are other parts too. Would be nice if you can rent bikes and drive around the island 🛵🏝️😎 Lots of foreigners there visiting and living there so there must be things to do and night life must be good
If you come back to Maynila you can use Metro Shuttle Bus going to Maynila you pass Leyte ( San Juanico Bridge) you can visit also Biliran Island and some beautiful scenery in Leyte and then Samar Province going to Bicol Region ( Mayon Volcano and beautiful beaches and places you can visit in Bicol) and then you can pass lso Quezon Province going to Maynila.
Wow! LOOK at That awesome white sand beaches. No wonder the Philippines 🇵🇭 is so beautiful. I wish Im there right now. ⛱️ 🏜🏝

Can we stop labelling foreigners of becoming filipino. They enjoy the Philippines but it doesnt mean they want to become a filipino. It's just sickening reading those statement like we are so desperate to be like by foreigners. Can we just become like other Asian country who doesnt make it a big deal to be liked by foreigners. Siargao is on my travel list. I’ve traveled to Palawan (El Nido and Puerto Princesa) and Boracay thrice, but never been to Siargao. Enjoy and stay safe.

Siargao baby!!! i love that place... so relaxing to be honest!!! if you want to enjoy chilling out yourself away from civilization, Siargao is the place... no gigantic malls and business buildings etc yet the food is yummy and the people are just slowing down... i lovelovelove that place. i keep laughing you guys about your acting... so freakin funny...you guys need to rent a motorcycle to roam around to distant places around the island!!!

I can’t believe that’s the first time you had Pancit Bihon. That’s as much a staple Filipino dish as lumpia and adobo.
You are nearly locals now---cool to see you using public transportation.
In a normal carinderia, one can ask how much each dish costs before having the server plate it. and people normally just get one rice, one meat and/or veg dish (tho you can certainly order as many as you want) and it can cost as low as 50-70. that upscale carinderia you went to has uber-fancy food, not the normal ulam

Did you visit Canijugan Peak. It's a 5 minute hike going up and at the top there's a resto with a cliff overlooking those palm trees and the sea. Also they offer massage at the cliff, kawa bath,, and I think they also have overnight stay.
Try to visit Magpupungko Rock Pools. Just a 50-minute drive from General Luna,

there's cheap hostels in and around general luna and pacifico... have to look for it though for deals and watch out for your stuff.
try renting a scooter for several days w/c you can lower the pricesignificantly.

You just reminded me about Pesto Pasta. Its been many years since I've had it. When I still lived in California, my local health food store had it in their fresh prepared food section and I frequently bought it. My eating experiences have totally sucked ever since I moved to central Texas. I also miss all the great restaurants that I use to go to as well. Happy Eating Guys.

During the night siargao turns into night club.. you can stroll and roam around safely and have a bar hopping , listen to live bands and have an icecold beer.. and get to mingle to different natinalities n friendly locals....
