up here in malvern we have church of the ascension which has a tower and a small steeple with a single bell which is rung via a rope in the church connected to a lever which swing chimes the bell
A very impressive church! Tower and steeple is a good combo. I haven't seen that before and didn't know there are only 3. I've seen a few parish churches with multiple towers not both at the west end (Blakeney and Wynmondham both in Norfolk, for example).
Home now. Just worked out I visited 20 churches/cathedrals in 23 days - masses of editing to do! Just copying them onto my computer is taking ages!! (Also visited 15 castles, 10 museums, various walks and gardens, 2 bin lorry depot tours (for my son), bus rides and 2 return boat trips. Great (but exhausting) holiday, as son likes following bin lorries (and filming them for his TH-cam channel) before we get on to doing what we want! Regards. Chris
Hee hee...possibly...;0)! I got to Ormskirk yesterday (the third church in the steeple & tower trilogy!) - not meant to be open unless it's Sunday but was fortunate to get inside - it's the next one, on my list, to do - will go up sometime in May as I've got a couple already lined up on YT from before I left.
