Came for this exact same reason. Probably about 5-10 good people in the audience… the rest sounded like they were intentionally ruining the vibe. I absolutely love this set of his… crowd was trash
At least, you know this guy is gold because no matter how silent the crowd, I'm still laughing my ass off.
These were the lines that made me fall in love with his unique comedy style.
Obnoxious comedians laugh WAY too hard at their own jokes; Mark looks like he just shit himself after delivering every line, like a fkn champ.

love seeing these types of vulnerable sets. Not a good crowd but you get to see how a veteran comedian deal with it. Not all crowds are hot
I've heard these jokes kill, never heard them bomb, or drop flat, and I think it is so cool of Mark to post this. These are solid jokes, but I guess (with literally zero stage time or adjacent experience) that it depends on the night and the crowd.

No, Mark's problem in those years were repeating same jokes over and over again. People heard it already. It took a decade for him to figure that out.
@@supernotnatural lol that's what a comedian does, builds up a set, does those same jokes over and over until it's completely ironed out for a special, a lot of these jokes ended up in his TH-cam special, if you think standup comedians are doing different material every show, then you don't know the industry at all

Prime example of how to get a dead room into a live one. No laughs eske at the start by half way in, he gots a good chunk of crowd laughing
this set is so fucking amazing these jokes hold so much weight when you feel the crowd getting offended it makes it even more fun
Don't think I've ever seen mark bomb before, he ploughed on thru like a professional.
Mark is the man & he is a professional comedian thru & thru. You can tell it is an uncomfortable environment here. He feeds off the energy of the crowd. But he is still telling solid jokes. It's a great set, but it was probably a miserable experience from his perspective. It probably felt like a bomb, but it totally shouldn't of been.

Huge fan of Mark and TWS, so I've seen this before. He definitely deserved a better audience. The "broken home" and "rollerblade" jokes still kill me but, he shouldn't need to remind the crowd that they're at a comedy show.

People saying "tough crowd" etc: this is just a small venue. It's a really small group. You can hear the echoes.
I was going to mention this as well.
Also, not only is it a small group, it's for paste magazine, which is far from being exclusively for comedy or stand-up, as evinced by the music equipment on the stage.
These jokes deff refined into his special he put out that had them in it. But this is probably the most I’ve ever seen him bomb it felt weirdddd cause of the crowd
I rarely am happy for people when they become successful because I'm a petty jealous weirdo, but I can say that I'm truly happy for mark as long as he never " Seguras" us.😂

I saw a short black dude hanging out with The Rock that keeps pretending to be this guy. Didn't even try to wear white face. So dumb. I'm like, "That's not Kevin Hart. I KNOW what Kevin Hart looks like." Geez.

The crowd did seem like a dudd but I think he's just showing us how comics work out and showing aspiring comics how it's done.
The jokes weren't as crisp as in the special and i think the structure of the set was still off, he started getting the crowd coming around and then goes "aren't your great full we aren't paedophiles?"
