Stunning scenery and beautiful autumnal colours. Like the images and the battery charger looks good, saves carrying a power bank and separate charger. Cheers. All the best. 👍📷😎
Thanks very much Rob, so glad you enjoyed watching. A beautiful location and one I will visit again and again. Yeah, it's a great addition to the camera bag and allows you to shoot for longer when out in the field for longer sessions. Cheers R👍
That was wonderful to watch such colours and views.Your experiment at the stream with the defused (is that the right word) water was great.Could tell you we’re loving it,so was I.x🥰👍
Thanks Mum, really glad you enjoyed it! Maybe I'll take you for a trip when you come over on holiday?? Might need snowshoes by then though, lol.. It was so much fun:-) x
Great video Rich. Always good to do something different and keep your hand in on other types of photography. Some beautiful scenes which is always helpful. Great images. Cheers Keith
Hey Keith, Thanks my friend really glad you enjoyed it. It's nice to try and dabble at a few other genres from time to time, plus it give you ideas as a wildlife photographer. Cheers Rich 👍
Hi Richard that was absolutely fantastic there is something about woodland, being amongst the trees is the best medicine great wellbeing, the fall colours just amazing, I live ten minutes from the beach and the harbour also got the South Downs but we still drive to the forest nothing like the parks you have over there Rich truly amazing place well done fantastic video, I will be putting lano battery charger on my Santa list😂thank you Rich for making an amazing video and sharing it with us. Martyn
Thanks Martyn, Yeah it's just a magical place to be amongst the trees and falling leaves and so peaceful. It's a great bit of kit and I've used it in the field recently and having that fast charge is a real bonus and to charge your mobile phone. Cheers for watching my friend. R👍
Those colours are delish! 😍 Love the photos with the rounded rock formations in the foreground. Just amazing scenery, thanks for sharing that. And another idea for my Crimbo list too (could do with a portable battery charger for sure). 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks very much Dee, glad you liked it and the views were awesome! Yeah the battery setup is such a great idea and well worth having in your camera bag, I hope FC brings you one. Cheers Rich 👍
Ya bang on post !!! Great to witness your adventure !!!! And was fascinated that you prefer woods , forest than the coast considering you come from Devon ! Ya I’m from Bournemouth originally but move to the New Forest ! Coasts are now just over run by people now ! Like you I enjoy piece & quite & enjoy my own company 👍 Great landscape photos & great autumn 🍂 colours !! 👍👍 cheers again Richard 👍
Thanks Craig, It's such a wonderful spot and ever so quiet with the odd walker but felt like I was alone. From Cornwall, lol....but close.. They are always so busy but for me that means the woodlands are quiet which is a bonus. Thanks for stopping by again my friend. R👍
Thanks Wayne, looking forward to getting out now the leaves have fallen to ID some Owls, be on my list this week to do some recce work... Can't wait. R👍
That's really the biggest charm of Eastern Ontario and Québec that you captured... rolling hills and forest....absolutely love it! I could have watched a 2 hour version😅 My next years' autumn goal is to find old growth closed canopy Sugar Maple/American Beech climax forest -- that's the absolute peak for autumn magic I've bookmarked on google maps an old growth place that I read about, not sure what it holds but looks promising. Doesn't seem well known... Stick this in your back pocket... bit of a drive "Réserve écologique de la Forêt-la-Blanche" 300 Chem. Saddler, Mayo, QC J8L 4L8
Thanks Jon, Lovely of you to say and so glad you enjoyed it. Being there are looking into the vastness of it all was truly wonderful. For me the Raven displaying and diving was areal bonus, looked like lots of fun. That sounds like a top spot and one I'd like to visit for sure, maybe we need to meet up? I'll be checking it out for sure. Thanks again mate👍
@RichardBirchett sounds like a plan whenever we coordinate a schedule! My weekends will be ridiculous for a bit... My son is struggling with his math (or maths as UK calls it ha) so it'll be math math math Saturday & Sunday 🤷♂️
Hi Richard, lovely video. Great colours and scenery. The woodlands in the UK are looking good at the moment too. It's been very cloudy, perfect for woodland photography though isn't it? All the best Steve.
Many thanks Steve, it was fantastic to be out in the Wilds of Gatineau and the colours were so beautiful! Glad to hear the UK's woods are putting on a show. Cheers R👍
Lovely video Richard I tried my hand a bit at landscape photography when I was up in the highlands a couple of weeks ago with the wildlife not playing ball ,I'm a bit like a fish out of water with it but I had a go I know a little bit but yeh I had a go and enjoyed it and I think that's one of the main things get out of your comfort zone and have fun with it I did the same a couple of months ago when we had the northern lights in the uk ,never done astro photography before give my self a crash corse went out and enjoyed myself. The good thing is your subject doesn't fly away 😂 so you have all the time in the world. All the best m8 Andy 👍
Hey Andy, Thanks for watching mate. The highlands is such a cracking spot for landscape photography and to try something a bit different is always nice to do, kind of keeps things fresh. Yeah, astro is another area I've not really had a go at, maybe one day I will get around to doing it. Yeah, nice when things don't try and evade you, lol.. Thanks again. Rich 👍
Very nice Rich! Gotta agree with you that it’s good to switch tactics every now & then & step out of your comfortable trainers & into the hob nail boots & test yourself. I do this myself & it also refreshes the grey matter & helps you find more creative wildlife images. I’m currently down in your lovely county of Cornwall very close you your home abode, & it’s slowly starting to turn into autumn down here but nothing like the colours you have there; still very much green down here. A nice vlog mate, enjoyed that. One thing that may help you with the landscape stuff is a remote release, be it wired or wireless - just saves you setting the timer for each image or bracketed set of images. Keep on keeping on bud! Best, Nick
Hey Nick, Cheers for stopping by and watching after your busy trip away! I think so too, not that I ever get bored of nature it's nice to dabble at another genre to keep things a bit fresh. I'm very jealous of you being near my home, although I bet the weathers crap! lol.. Yeah, the fall here happens very quickly and then it's winter. Yeah I've got a remote release but left it at home, lol... next time I will try and remember it. Cheers my friend. R👍
@@RichardBirchettIt’s just starting to blow up down here, but…. I drove 433 miles from West Suffolk via Cheltenham today & the only sun I saw was on the A30 literally as I came through Bodmin by the Jamaica Inn & from there all the way down to Camborne. The rest of the way was dull & drizzling 🌧️
@@nickclaytonphotography Oh dear! I dont miss the weather mate! Always sunny here, but getting colder day by day! Before you realise it -30 will be here and I'll be freezing my bits off, lol.. Cheers R

Hey James, I'm very much hoping to start up some workshops in the Spring of 2025 so would you be interested in any at all? If so you can check out my website and register your interest and I'll send out a newsletter with more details soon. Thanks again. Rich 👍
Lovely video and great images. People won't realize on the video that your sounding out of breath at the start is very legitimate. That trail has a long incline that is very deceiving.
Glad you enjoyed it Peter, It was a bit cheeky going up and it was 24 degrees so made it a bit harder! Still so worth the effort and the views were amazing. R👍
