As insomniac myself, houkago insomnia spoke to me on many levels. But I loved it because it is my kind of slice of life, with amazing characters. I wish it didn’t end abruptly. It is a very quick read if you ever plan on binging it, although better to savor it 😊
ahh true. a lot of us readers sacrifice sleep or sometimes just can't sleep for various reasons. ohh i'm curious. did you not like the way it ended? did you watch the anime as well? i was planning to watch it too but after i've read a bit of it first.
@@cadence_la I haven’t watched the anime😓 although I heard it’s pretty good. The ending involved time skip and sort of open ending. Considering the story never had big drama, and only small impactful moments, the ending being simple makes sense. However it was too simple, yet brought up lots of confusions. Some readers are even confused if it’s even happy ending 😖 sorry for ranting. However way it ended, the main and supporting characters all are pretty good and that’s what I loved.
@@nushrathumaira2257 ahh ok i see 😭 it's a bit of a pet peeve of mine when a time skip is thrown in at the end without spending a bit of time on it at least. whenever a series does that, it's such a tease and often leaves me wanting more especially if it's abrupt 😓 but wow it's like getting a cliffhanger for an ending or needing to imagine it for yourself. but i'm glad it didn't deter you from still having enjoyed it!
@@cadence_la yeah worse part is I read fan theories of other people’s interpretation of the ending and it ruined my enjoyment 😭 I just now think of it as a good journey that I enjoyed and the ending doesn’t matter.

I generally don't like manga with children protagonist, but I gave 3 volumes of WHA a try, and I really enjoy the story. I'm a slow reader, but I also binge bought the rest of the series from the RSA sale.
ohh i can relate! i really don't have too many series that have super young main characters. if i do, they're just super wholesome, family slice of life series. and even for the high schoolers, i sometimes wish they were in college or something. but that's good to hear you enjoyed WHA! 🥰 and ahh also relatable on the binge buying lol.

I just found your channel and subscribed :) My favorite manga are Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (a forgotten masterpiece and i can't recommend it enough ♥), Witch Hat Atelier, Natsume's Book of Friends, My Happy Marriage, Colette decides to die, Laid-Back Camp, ReLIFE and Flying Witch (such an underrated series full of wholesomeness and subtle magic ♥) I love Violet Evergarden and i've never cried so much in my entire life when i was watching the final movie haha

i still need to start reading sign of affection. i ve heard soosososo much about it and i love me my romance genre, but life s just been too much to start new mangas for now qwq the trailer is making me want to do it more though!! they chose just nice colour palette for the anime and they made both of the main leads look so good,,, my heart 😭 don't remember if you posted anything on instagram about starting to read "witch hat atelier", but just overall to me its another series with a twist and really good and elaborate story. + this is one of the mangas that won one of the first places in japanese manga awards few years back and those mangas are always doing good in later years!! read only 3 volumes of this manga some time ago, but woudl like to get back into it again. hope there will be an opportunity to do a buddy read with you 😳 also, let me just rant a little,,,,,, i dont understand why they dont make such badass male leads in hetero romance mangas as they do in BL mangas. as a person who reads more of the former one, i'd really want to see more characters that have super broad shoulders or more mature look. SCARS!!!!! but it feels like they are allergic to male characters with those "imperfections" 😭

Heaven Official’s Blessing final volume comes out on November 21 of this year. I plan on finishing TCGF/Heaven Official’s Blessing when volume eight comes out. Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation/MDZS is my favorite of MXTX’s works then The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System (the first work from MXTX). I’m slowly making my way through 2ha/The Husky and His White Cat Shizun. I recently ordered Guardian by Priest as well thinking about picking up Priest’s other work Stars of Chaos at some point if I see it for a good price. Great haul and video as well

@@cadence_la I watched the drama series “The Untamed” before getting the novel it was confusing but I enjoyed the series then I read the novel and rewatched the series as I read through the volumes of the novel. The manhua in two volumes barely is half way through the third chapter of the first volume of the novel.
