All this info can be applied to docks in saltwater when fishing for Red drum, speckled trout, snook, etc.... Wind protected docks after a cold front can be very productive.
I'm new to fishing, my first rod and reel is on the way. While I wait, I've been watching hours and hours of videos trying to learn all I can since I don't have any friends or family that fish. I don't have a boat or anything, but this video is the best I've seen to begin understanding positioning and fish behavior.

Thanks Brian. Great video. Getting ready to go fishing tomorrow with my military brother and I cannot wait to be fishing around the docks on the water. You gave me a lot to think about and how I want to go about fishing around the docks. Can't wait for your next video.
You did it again. This is such great information. I’m fishing from a kayak on Lake Norman so I need learn as much as I can about Dock’s. Thanks again Brian
Gotta get one them green camo hats so when I'm using gummy worms fishing docks next year during tournaments. As a co always enjoy your videos learned alot watching and using your suggestions. Tight lines
@@BrianLatimerFishing hoosier series is over for yr only able to get 3 tournaments this yr due to shoulder surgery. But finished 69th next yr 2022 due three central Toyota series as co and hoosier. One of the best things I enjoy doing after 20yr in army tore my body up.
Is that lake succession if it is I can never figure that lake out and also you should do a video about when spots are suspended up under boat docks I usually would throw a spinnerbait or chatterbait but when there not on them I don’t know what else to throw to finesse them out of there
@@BrianLatimerFishing I got all three bro, I was already a sick stick fan but when they added your name and touch to it, it just sent theses rods to another level. Great job on them man.
Good vid & info! I've caught fish off docks but never been that confident or consistent. I've just randomly cast at, past, by them. I'll definitely use this tomorrow when I'm on the yak... Don't you run Garmin's? Do u ever look up under them with your live scope??
Love the videos. I suck bass 🎣. Im definitely an amateur but I literally take people and show them where to fish and watch them because I just CANT set a hook. Took a guy a couple weeks ago that has been fishing 2 years. We had 3 hours to fish. He caught 5 after I told him to change to a green lizard. I had 3 on the line but lost them all half way to the boat. 🙈
I have same problem...cannot set the hook on bass, get skunked a few times in a row I go hit salt water just get my confidence back.. lol. One day I will get it tho!!
I wonder if you feel you would be a better or worse fisherman if TH-cam and other things were around when you were a kid? Perhaps this would be a great video. I assume you were a teen at the time when computers were getting out there, but do you think technology would have kept you from fishing as often? I am much older and from a time when the only way to entertain myself was to get on my bike and ride to the river or lakes. If Computers and video games were around I may have not, who knows. Great video as always.
Please keep making these videos Brian. I’m learning so much following all of these.
Mark
Thanks Brian!

Right about that… my go to for inshore fishing! Works every time!
what about if it’s usually cold but a heat front comes in?

I haven’t been there in years! I gotta go over some time
Can you post a video about launching a boat
What tactics are you going to take to start winning some championships/ tournaments ?
Probably start by catching bigger bass than the rest of the guys??
Dude off subject I got your rods man and I love them the 7.2 paired with a curado dc and that ole SB57 deadly 🤙🏾🤙🏾
Wait until you try the spinning rod!
