*** The 911 owner later revealed he was on upgraded hybrid turbos with full bolt ons, 93 octane, and methanol injection instead of what was stated in the video.
Supra has an upgraded *Precision 6870 single turbo, built head, cams, and upgraded fuel system, intake, and intercooler kit on an E85 tune running on wastegate at 21 psi (needs a new boost controller to raise the boost, which will be installed soon) on a manual transmission.
The owner told me before it was a 6766 but remembered after previous videos it was a 6870 Turbo so I'm glad he corrected it.
1st race was from 50 MPH
2nd race was from 70 MPH

We are in a hell of an era for cars, I understand the price difference of course but consider the engineering behind that Porsche. It easily walks a big turbo Supra while having only a software update and can probably do it with one finger on the steering wheel up to 200mph. What a time to be alive.

Read the description, porsche owner lied about the setup and supra was on low boost, making the "big turbo" no better than a smaller one

For a comparison with a 68/70 precision at 30+ lbs of boost I was able to beat a 200whp bmws1000rr with a 145 lb pro rider by a couple cars from a 70 roll.

The supra is boostin way low for racing a porsche. Supras are ridiculously fast. Ive heard one in person at 40lbs. Ive never heard so much air rush thru an engine. But German engineering is top notch and you can clearly see that here.

These are both bucket list cars to drive or own. If the Supra dials it up, he is going to have an even more difficult time putting that power down. One of the things that make the porsche Turbo S such fast cars is their ability to put the power to the ground consistently.
All VWs/Audis/Porsches put the power down smoothly. It's so linear and planted to the ground.
I encourage everyone to experience driving those car brands. It completely changed my mind on my next vehicle.

Nice runs that 2nd run was extremely close impressed with the MK4 keeping it that close on such low boost level at only 21psi, on E85 he needs to turn it up 35psi+ that's when them little mid size turbo's like the 6870 starts to wake up...
As a owner of both MK4 TT and 970 Turbo it still amazes me that our old Supras are still the measuring stick to test themselves against vs modern day cars after 30+ years and still holding it down, truly an over engineered automobile...... As for Porsche's especially the Turbo models there reputation speaks volumes for themselves and when you own one and push it to its limits you begin to understand

@ A I don’t forget the transmission in the Porsche is a PDK which is one of the fastest shifting transmissions in the world coupled with its all wheel drive system and the way the Porsche delivers the power, I’d say adding some more boost on the Supra is well deserved

Take a lot more than a tune on an mk5 to hang with a turbo s, even a stock 991.2, which this isn’t

You should get rid of that little 68 mm turbo and go to a 76mm ball bearing turbo. You'll sacrifice almost nothing in school and it will pull way harder.
Porche has ruled for sometime and even if he gets boost control fixed the Porche gearing is what’s the difference maker.
It wasn't the boost that's a problem, it's the set up, not the correct tire set up and a bad driver will always loose.
How much hp does supra have?
