So far I have seen him play Guy of Gisborne in Robin Hood and John Thorton in North & South. However, Harry Kennedy is my favorite character that he plays. In other roles he is so serious and doesn't smile much, but in the vicar he shows his pearly whites! He has an amazing smile and should show it off more

This is the episode that made me fall in love with Richard Armitage. He is indeed beautiful and gorgeous. Good casting choice Dawn. I now love him as Thorin in The Hobbit, though I'll admit, prefer him without the beard.
My 2nd viewing! I've watched many actors over a long time, but have to say that this talented man is the most attractive I've ever seen. Seems to have it all and then some. It will be interesting to see how is career takes off after the full effect of the The Hobbitses is taken into account. I wish him well.
You see him as Harry and you can't imagine this sweet, charming, beautiful man being a bad guy or anything but warm and kind. I hope Richard plays more roles like this and doesn't get type cast as the baddie or other serious characters.
OK, Richard. If you are listening out there- I have heard you say that your face looks "dark and malevolent". And, yes, by Smaug's tail, you have a look that could freeze an iceberg or kill a man with one glance, but after watching this clip..good grief, man! Would you PLEASE choose roles where 1) you do not die a horrible death, and 2) you get to smile more! You could, indeed, pull off any romantic lead or hero.

You can tell at 1:12 he's truly tickled. I so enjoyed this episode..all the smiles and openness on his face. He really should more comedic roles.
