Thank you for trying to save that dog. I live in a rural Louisiana town where people love to dump dogs off. As a result, I have five rescue dogs, plus one I purchased when he was a puppy. Every dog I've rescued are sweet loving animals who simply want a home and someone to care for them. So, once again good job, you have my respect sir.

They are very smart dogs, that dog belongs in a good home not a shelter and she knows it. Best thing to do is when you see her is to sit down and toss some food a few feet away from you. Let her grab it , but dont make any movements towards her just keep tossing food close and let her gain your trust. Eventually she will trust you . And youll get her trick is to not chase but lure her to you.

I love dogs but was not raised with any animals, so can't
handle having them around. Even if I could, at this point,

Yes she is likely continuing to walk that stretch of the highway because she is hoping whoever dumped her picks her up. Breaks my heart to think anyone could dump their dog.. at least try and find her a good home.

I think that dog was reacting to that water.i think its very thirsty.hotdogs are full of sodium.but i was watching how that dog was reacting to you before the water and after.

Her being so intelligent makes me want to help her. She feels more. Id hunt a coyote,but a smart being like that makes me feel more. Not that wild critters are all dumb, but they live by eat or be eaten. Alcatraz doesnt i bet.
