Thorne Barasa ~ How Kenyan youth can be more involved in governance

Thorne Barasa is an alumnus of Alliance High School, having completed his High School Education in 2022. While at Alliance, he served as the Assistant School Captain and the Secretary General of the Model United Nations Club. He was also very passionate about poetry and debate, the latter earning him a slot on the Panel at the People Dialogue Festival back in 2021 as they discussed Sustainable Development.
Thorne co-ordinated the High School "Ni Sisi Ni Sasa" Village at the just concluded edition of the People Dialogue Festival (which ran from 8th to 11th March). Furthermore, he moderated a session in titled: Unpacking the Impact of the Global Debt Crisis on Future Generations, where he dissected the threat our debt places on future generations. A leader at heart, he believes that our tomorrow should be created today as we make gradual changes with intent. Therefore, he is delighted to be working hand-in-hand with the Centre for Multiparty Democracy in hosting the People Dialogue Festival
