    Have used Felindre for a few years now.. bought a couple of Shimano 5ooo xtea's from ebay that were supposed to be "superb" however I wasn't sure about them so sent them off to these guys.. they called me with a list of problems with both reels, gave the go ahead and it wasn't as expensive as I thought.. when they came back to me they were like new reels!.. super quick turnaround, great service, highly recommended!

      It was a long drive to do the film (360 miles !) but I hope its worth it and helps a few beginners and novices out. I've got more reels I'm going through now,they might not actually be as washed up as I thought they were.Would love to get my old Speedmaster working and get it out on the beach again.Its all in bits in a bag !!...I tried myself and failed miserably...Newcomers beware..it's far easier to take a reel to bits than it is to put back together.

    • @TAFishing
      @TAFishing  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      not !...nothing wrong with old reels,they caught fish way back then and can still catch fish now. The secret is maintenance . I remember the old 410's,probably the first of the "modern" reels back then.

    I have two Lews speed spool reels both the same model, but the bail on one reel is hard to flip over while the other is easy so do you have any suggestions on a fix like modifying a part on the reel like shaving a part down.

    • @TAFishing
      @TAFishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have never heard of those,suggest contact the reel service people they may have some ideas.

    Wow! What an artist. I once took a Mitchell 264 apart. I had all sorts of springs and washers left over. It still seemed to work.
    I spend a lot of my income on tackle. This is therefore very useful and interesting.

  • @garymurray4878

    Very interesting video Graham, can I just ask if he is saying not to use oil on the bearings why do people use red or yellow rocket fuel on beach multipliers? 👍👍🎣🎣

    • @TAFishing
      @TAFishing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Too much is apparently not good,just a small amount of grease is better. I think that was over a wide range of reels,multipliers,sea reels,beach reels.etc.
