We consider WHWY to be another one of our favorite "vibe" tracks. Not a traditional single. Much like "Breakfast In Berlin", we want to continue to steadily build the visual story -- or the "color" of the new record -- track by track instead of trying to launch one major hit single in the traditional music industry model.
The song is a collaboration with our long time co-conspirator Bryan Black of Motor fame. Motor fucking rules.
We are huge fans of Bryan's work, and we believe he is easily one of the coolest and most exciting electronic artists alive today (apparently Martin Gore agrees with us - check out their latest collab, it's amazing). Many of our core JK fans will remember our remix of Motor's Flashback, and Bryan's insane remix of Someday Soon. I have a feeling that we will continue working together for a long time - i wouldn't be surprised if we toured together .... soon (that is a hint Bryan... let's do it!). Check out Bryan and Motor:

You may notice something different happening in the JK rhythm section. That would be our new friend Eli James. After playing with Eli in the auditioning process after Elias made his decision to commit full time to his family, we decided it would be amazing to have Eli be a part of this video. His energy was contagious and we felt we needed to do a video with him AND a video with Frank to help us really get a feel for the two drummers. It actually turned out to be a really cool experience, and i am sure we will be working with Eli again in the future. In the end we simply felt that Frank was the right fit for Julien-K - but both these guys are amazing drummers.

Julien-K is terribly underrated. Kinda bums me out more people don't give them a go. Been a fan since Orgy opened Family Values 98 for Korn in Indianapolis. I remember Ryan with the blonde spiked hair, hunched over his guitar and headbanging. We're still here with you! 🤘🏻

Hello I'm real fan of Julien-K. I would lire to fond the Last Julien-K records California Noir Chapter 1 & 2 & Harmonic disruptor. I'm French and I can only find them in digital not in CD's. I would really like to have those 3 Last records cause I can only find their 2 first records in my country death to analogue and we here with you.

That's completely inaccurate. Orgy's last cd came out in 2005. They all have been working on their side projects since then. Jay never left Orgy. In fact, Jay is the only original member of Orgy left. Earlier this month Jay released part of a new song called Grime of the Century and recently did a tour.
I'm really interested to know how you get such an interesting drum sound in all your tracks. Do you use acoustic drums and then Fx process them to sound electronic or do you layer electronic samples on top of an acoustic recording?
