I stopped watching the series after a while (can't remember which season), only seeing a few episodes here and there after that. So I never saw the second Halloween episode. First one has my heart
I really love that idea of Paige opening the locket and the warlock not being able to steal her powers because she's half whitelighter. Also, did witches of old have whitelighters or are they more of a recent invention? Would the warlock be prepared for the possibility of a half witch half whitelighter? Possibilities are endless. You should have been a writer on the show 😅
Thank you so much! I really think that could have been such a great Charmed episode! ^^ And that's a good question! The show makes it sound like whitelighters have been around forever, but you really don't see them much.. especially in the past! I wonder if the Elders got tired of trying to do everything themselves and that's when they decided to create whitelighters?
Going off on a tangent (because I can't find the actual video that talked about this), a while ago, I wondered why, in-universe, there was no explanation as to why all the pictures of Prue in the Manor had disappeared. The other day I watched a video by another TH-camr which talked about Shannen Doherty's departure and Rose McGowan coming into the series, and he suggested that they could either go down the "long-lost sister" route (which they did) or have the character of Prue played by another actress and say that Prue had had to change her appearance for some reason. If they had done the latter, it would have solved the "why no pictures of Prue" mystery because all the pictures of Shannen-Prue would have changed into pictures of Rose-Prue (or whoever took on the role).
@@mikenash7049 I've been looking into that as well lately, haha. I'm really glad they went with the secret sister idea rather than trying to recast Prue, though, because I think the fans would have rioted. Rightfully so, imo.. Shannen was too central to the show to recast.
Wasn't it because they didn't want to pay Shannon and would have had to even if just her picture was shown. I'm not sure if Shannon also didn't want to be shown for her own reasons. The in show reason I've heard is because seeing her was too painful for the sisters, but that sounds like bull.
@@AirQuotes It was bull. If they could have a picture of Grams, the woman who raised them and they clearly loved, they could've done the same for Prue, especially for Piper since those two were the closest lol.
Phoebe‘s broom flying is my favorite scene. I’ve had six dreams in my life of flying, and 2 of them were on brooms, literally. Billie wasn’t bad at all it to me. We all know the importance of sisterhood the show tells, but it was kind of getting old, so with her it was like a breath of fresh air. Christy with psychologically brainwashed by the demons, particularly the triads into being their weapon. Her sense of mounding was all warped through nurturing. Just like some unfortunate kids in the Middle East, who r abducted and raised by terrorist into being their newest members. That really does happen. I really think if she knew and fully excepted the truth, including the triad would kill her and Billie in the end had they won (hypothetically, before the fatal fireball)…she would’ve had a nervous breakdown, realizing her whole life was a lie. And the time with her sister was truthful, but not enough. P.S. Don’t forget Paige turned into a scary ghost in this episode too. Oh and u know what? There’s a Valentines 💘 episode, but no other holidays. The banshee ep mentions Christmas 🎄 decorations, but not an official episode.
@@sifilore It will be so cool if we actually get to fly on brooms one day! And good point about the Valentine's Day episode! We should do a video on that one in February! ❤️
I so agree with your sentiment on All Halliwell's Eve being one of the best episodes of the entire series, I also loved how they tied in the sisterhood and related it with old witchcraft. It was nice seeing them interact with the old coven and learning about old witchcraft practices. And it just feels like a reminant of what Constance wanted to eventually get to and even more depressing realizing that she wasn't able to do more with concepts like this. But oh god Kill Billie, yes, terrible terrible episode with the characters at their worst (with exception to Paige). And just seeing those clips again with Piper's character degradation and the disrespect (with Phoebe included) towards daring to think magic should be exposed despite it being the (story) reason why Prue got killed. Just oh man, girl I feel your frustration, the audacity LOL And you know what's so obvious with what makes Billie's inclusion so absolutely annoying? They had to make the Charmed ones be so horrendous in character to make her character shine and be seen as the heart that got the Charmed ones to re-think their priorities. I mean let's be real, Piper and Phoebe's character ruination happened long before Billie's addition but it was like cranked up to 11 in that final season and it's what soured fans even more on Billie. Nevermind that they were just trying to blatantly rip off Buffy with her and nah, we don't need "We have Buffy at home" brand Buffy lol
It really is such a great episode! Constance had SUCH a beautiful vision for the show, I really wish she'd been able to stay on! And right?! The way they had the sisters acting in the later seasons is so infuriating that I had to keep reminding myself that I was watching the same show.. and I never thought about it, but I think you're totally right! Brad ruined the sisters in favor of Billie.. and isn't THAT telling of his character? He doesn't any concept of a dynamic where everyone can get along and shine in their own way, no.. all he knows is how to ruin the competition, and clearly never heard the phrase "you never look good trying to make someone else look bad!"

Honestly, Piper and Phoebe became so annoying in the last few seasons with their complaining and selfishness. My favorite used to be Piper and changed to Paige because of it. But even then, Paige had her moments - thankfully not as much. It sucks because it feels like all the moral lessons you learned in the first three seasons end up just going down the drain after that along with the warm feeling that it used to have. And I really wish they hadn't brought Billie into it. She was totally unnecessary as a character. If anything, she was just used to push the plot forward to lead us to the 'Ultimate Power' they kept going on about... which also felt like a disappointment.
